Just came back today from our three week holiday to Italy: Marche and Toscany, enjoying the real Apero Spritz and lovely wines, fish meals, beautiful landscapes and old towns. October is a wonderfull month for travellers, the temperatures are mild ( around 70 degrees ) and the tourist season with high prices and crowds has finished. It was wonderfull. Greetings from Switzerland.
@@retirementbudgettravel699 It is wonderfull there. My brother and sister in law are living in Luzern and they have a beautiful view to mount Pilates. Have a great time here in Switzerland !
I'm very much enjoying Rick's behind the scenes commentary 😁💜 It's like hanging out with someone's Dad or young grandpa as he dishes about his adventures
I think it’s just the romance of Italy…bruschetta! Based on your homemade bruschetta I’ve seen on your show Steve, I’d likely think the same thing about your bruschetta. 😊
We will be in Athens and Santorini this week making a video. Looking forward to being back in Europe after nearly two years. In 2022 we are doing Germany and France before spending some time in Japan. Glad to be making travel plans again!!. Enjoy the Monday videos keep it up.
If possible, try to travel during April, may, September, October, less chance of cancellation and weather will still be pleasant. I had no problem at all during my travel to Egypt Jordan during September October 2021. Just had to take 4 RtPCR test before entering each countries, not pleasant tests, but I rather take the test than to be bored at home.
@@RickStevesTravelTalks Rick, my first visit to Santorini in 2010 was via the MINOAN ship from Venice ☺️ the ship was main European, cars, RV, , trucks transporting cargos cargos etc on the bottom of the ship. After a few days in Athens, I took the Star ferry to Santorini for 2 nights. I wish to repeat this adventure again ☺️
It's not capitalism, it's a free market, that makes the former eastern bloc now productive. We are under capitalism, but we have extreme poverty in the U.S.; we have high suicide, high violent crime, and outrageous homelessness. Capitalism is not doing well for us at all.
I have always enjoyed watching Rick Steve’s travels and his videos, but half the respect I had for him went out the window when he started campaigning for Biden on his channel. This is no place for political campaigns, in my opinion, the point of the channel is quite different and this type of agitation turns off non-political viewers like myself. Please keep in mind and good luck, Rick!
After exposing to cultures from around the world for 4 decades, I think one has to stand up for what he believes! That's what human do, it will blow my mind if he's MEGA...
I love Rick. Such a joyful soul and so much good and timely information. Thank you

Enjoy 🇨🇭 Switzerland! We were just there. Canton Glarus is magnificent without the tourists. Mt Pilates is amazing!!
What it hard to get the Covid test to get back into the United States.

Aperol Spritz, my favourite drink too and always makes me think of Italy. A Bellini on the terrace of the Gritti is not bad either ❤️🇮🇹
HAPPY DIPAWALI FESTIVAL OF LIGHT
Rick, that's a real nice Aloha shirt! Where did you get it?
Do you need a covid test to get back into the U.S. if you fly to Europe. and is it hard to do.
But will this air travel problem with the airlines be over by next year?

Hearing rick's comments on the dancing on the pavement makes me cringe each time I watch this dancing now, as if the pain is on my own feet!
Totally understand and feel it. They should say something about it before agreeing to it
