It's 3:41 am. We're in the middle of the ride of the horseman of pestilence, and that make me laugh for a minute strait. Thank you. You're the hero I need right now.
This is one of the better looking FMV-games. Not talking about the video quality, but the game has cool sets, not everything is greenscreened like in many titles from the era.
"Winners don't do drugs!" Says the villain so he has all the drugs for himself. I've seen through you. I'm going to do all the cocaine, so the villain doesn't get any.
It's not dedicated to FMV games. It's dedicated to weird or obscure games that most people have never played and/or heard of. It's just only a coincidence that a lot of them have FMVs. Also sometimes he does games that he played as a kid like Pajama Sam and Roller Coaster Tycoon.
burgermike92 Yeah, but the videos on Sim Town and Prison Tycoon were done a really long time ago. I don't know exactly, but I'd say that 9/10 of his videos this year were of FMV games. It's a shame; I was really hoping for him to become that one guy that talks about sex games.
When I was like 12 I remember my older brother's highschool put on a stage play called Space Pirates and I think it was based on this game. I remember the play being really awesome but it's probably just the mystique/nostalgia of the whole thing.
Come to think of it, with those enemies showing up one by one and the occasional colonist popping up as a surprise to not shoot them... this is just a very long, very slow game of Whack-A-Mole.... with a space-related story...
You do NOT know how happy I was to see this, I just got my appendix out, am currently lying in a hospital bed tired and sore. Seeing Ian post was the best part of the day.
You can usually get around screen tearing (usually just need to switch "output" variable) and other performance related issues issues in DosBox with a few adjustments to the settings. If you are not comfortable with the config files you can use a front end like D-Fend Reloaded. Actually, that one specifically has a ton of pretested profiles that usually run buttery smooth without tweaking. Not sure anyone cares, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
1) FMV games were a lot of fun. I remember paying 14 cents for Sewer Shark on the SegaCD and getting so many hours of entertainment out of it. Great video on keeping the FMV fun alive! 2) Can we get a full version of "Get Him Star Ranger"? I want to blast that from my car stereo driving home from work so bad.
Fun historical fact: having the villain tell the player to not do drugs in a menacing voice was legally the closest you were allowed to get to saying the words "harm reduction" at the time.
Don't shoot the postman strait from the buyer, but before lightning strikes = You should accept gifts from people but if they'll kill you don't accept them.
3:20 The reminded me of those arcade alien shooting games with civilians keep jumpscaring in the way resulting in me firing them, and I keep losing because I was trigger happy in those games.
The Old Dude is The Old Dude from the two Mad Dog McCree FMV western lightgun games made by the same developer. He greets you the same way in both games' intros and shows up now and then to explain the plot further. I guess him being in all three games means that Space Pirates is the third and final entry in the Mad Dog McCree series, unofficially that is.
I remember seeing this game in arcades as a kid, don't think I ever played it though. I do however LOVE the set design (the parts that aren't just a desert anyway). It's like the 1990's collectively made a space ship.
hey man, just wanna tell you that I enjoyed your video and really hope you make more. I enjoyed how you kept your character and the completionist played his character. Although this is just youtube, I think the quality of this video is pretty good.Keep up the good work!-Acrobatic Dude
Another American Laser Game, "Who Shot Johnny Rock?", attempted to get around the lack of replayability issue by making sure that enemies always died out-of-view (falling back behind a wall or boxes etc.), and the lack of continuity then them to randomise the order in which enemies appeared. It also had multiple endings!
Old Dude was also in Mad Dog McCree and threw bottles in the air for you to target practice, but every time you missed a bottle he'd say "You missed that one. Here, try another!" and threw another bottle in the air. In other words, this is practically the same game, but with a Science Fiction genre to it instead of Western.
to be honest even before this whole fraud thing, I never liked the guy, his voice was very annoying and he was just plain unfunny, im not gonna lie though his videos were entretaining
I love FMV too dude. My greatest joy was finding a new "Live Action" game. In the late 90s they were pretty cheap to buy from places like _Babbage's_. That and pixilated PC games were cheap to get because polygons were the new thing. I think some people can't really get how wonderous and neat these games were to those that lived when they were still mainstream. Because of them growing up with superior graphics and this being history. Not that this is always the case, thankfully.
Well when a villian tells you not to do drugs, pfft, who won't listen? Like Charles Manson saying murder is wrong. Scruff Mcgruff better watch out! He's got some big competition.😂 Awesome video, as always.😄
I WAS TRYING TO REMEMBER WHERE THAT PIRATE GUY LOOKED FAMILIAR AND IT WAS THE WINNER'S DON'T DO DRUGS THING AND WHEN YOU POINTED IT OUT I SCREAMED SO GOD DAMN LOUD
Always remember: if you're a civilian near a firefight involving the protagonist, be sure to jump dorectly in front of them and tell them to "Get Captain Talon!"
"Do listen to villains" okay I get what you're saying, but you know how if you're in a bank robbery and the manager is like "just do what the robbers say"? *DO LISTEN TO VILLAINS*
Hahaha! Oh Moosie, you don't gotta tell me about Mad Dog McCree! After watching Arin fire and then miss and then fire and miss, he missed both time! Hahaha!!
Jirard inside the helmet on the cover genuinely made me spit my drink out.
Hi, Caddy!
Hi Cad!
How are you doing?
thats not Jirard caddy.. its... keemstar.
Caddy!
"That pirate guy looks familiar." See the drug message. "Ohhhhhhh"
?
We should play some more HE games soon.
Dude we should!
Pbg + Brutalmoose = WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG
Hey peebs
PLAY BACKYARD BASEBALL!! I feel like the old BY sports games don't get enough love, but they're were my jam as a kid
Jimjams Jumbles To be fair, PBG did reply kinda late.
Captain Talon totally looks like a cyborg Sandor Clegane.
REMEMBER! Winners don't do drugs! [explosion]
+stride99 winners eat every fucking chicken in the room
Only lots of cunts do drugs.
Oh man you are here! I recently watched all your videos! Keep up the good work!
"Remember, winners don't do drugs!"
*Said the guy who lost.*
Crack pirates from outer space
It's 3:41 am. We're in the middle of the ride of the horseman of pestilence, and that make me laugh for a minute strait. Thank you. You're the hero I need right now.
Guess he did drugs
This is one of the better looking FMV-games. Not talking about the video quality, but the game has cool sets, not everything is greenscreened like in many titles from the era.
Yeah, looks like Star Trek with the sets
"Winners don't do drugs!"
Says the villain so he has all the drugs for himself. I've seen through you. I'm going to do all the cocaine, so the villain doesn't get any.
Your sacrifice is appreciated by the Star Ranger Corps, DrunkenCoward1
Don't do drugs or else my skull will explode?
gives new meaning to "mind expanding"
^HA!
or mindblowing
Yes
Seems legit
You know, before you had specified it, I thought that one guy in the red shirt said "TO THE CRACK CORNER ROOM!"
That would've been a lot funnier.
Oh my god I can totally hear it.
Maybe that's what he said and I heard incorrectly.
mmmmm crack corner time 🍚⏳
Maybe that's why he was so excited! Unfortunately, following him makes you lose, because WINNERS DON'T DO DRUGS!
The crack corner room is the best room
Well, they needed to celebrate somehow.
What the hell is the villain talking about? Winners do all the drugs. That's how they win.
Duuude, I remember Mad Dog McCree - god damn; please play that!
I actually never realized that this channel was completely dedicated to FMV games. You learn something new everyday it seems.
Same here
It's not dedicated to FMV games. It's dedicated to weird or obscure games that most people have never played and/or heard of. It's just only a coincidence that a lot of them have FMVs. Also sometimes he does games that he played as a kid like Pajama Sam and Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Its not just a coincidence a lot are FMV games. He even said in this video that he love old FMV games.
+SomethingIronic True, but I still stand by the fact that his channel is not dedicated to FMV games.
brutalmoose + The Completionist = Best day ever!
"time to celebrate by getting wasted"
Pretty sure most of those actors were quite drunk already during their "performances"
Man, its like they turned a Doctor Who episode into a FPS game.
Which one
creeps Langford Presumably 1969’s the Space Pirates mixed with 1978’s the Pirate Planet.
I love how positive you are with the games you play.. it's really uplifting to watch.
When I was like 12 I remember my older brother's highschool put on a stage play called Space Pirates and I think it was based on this game. I remember the play being really awesome but it's probably just the mystique/nostalgia of the whole thing.
I'm gonna need a full "World 3" song.
Ian rocks. He posts videos very often. Not BS Let's Plays. Good Job Ian for making classic reviews.
These bs game reviewers need to get a REAL job.
+Spooky why wouldn't this qualify as a "real job"
+Colby Brodeur because their earnings are mostly ad revenue.
Aidan Lappin Why so salty m8?
not to mention the streams 😍
You know, this Pirate Ship makes for a good resting place
Mad Dog McCree? *Checks clock.* IT'S HIGH NOON.
Why do all mechanics in gaming have Southern accents?
Holden Chalfant Shut up, McCree!
game grumps just played that today. coincidence?
DRAW!
Bad people called Talon
I genuinely want to see a full rendition of "Get him Star Ranger"
You mean the Han Solo dance from Star Wars Kinect?
I misheard "winners don't do drugs" as "when in doubt, do drugs." Very nice.
Come to think of it, with those enemies showing up one by one and the occasional colonist popping up as a surprise to not shoot them... this is just a very long, very slow game of Whack-A-Mole.... with a space-related story...
How about Hogan's Alley? lol
Today is my birthday and omg I was not expecting this!!! A Brutalmoose and Completionist crossover??? This is the best birthday present ever!!!
Man, I'll be nailing that "Get Him Star Ranger" move on the dance floor tonight!
Man I'd love to hear the full remix of "Get him Star Ranger! Go Ranger! Go Ranger!"
save the commander!
.....save the commander!
.........sAvE tHE cOmmANDeR!!!
You do NOT know how happy I was to see this, I just got my appendix out, am currently lying in a hospital bed tired and sore. Seeing Ian post was the best part of the day.

Funny how game grumps are playing mad dog mccree today
What a coincidence, right? I literally just finished watching that video.
I was just thinking the same
IT'S HIGH NOON
Remember that 🥐🥐🥐
I always watch your vis to the very end, theres always a funny little nugget in the last few seconds that I always enjoy.
8:49 "EHEHE, YOU MISSED THAT ONE! TRY ANOTHER!"
Every time I press play on a brutalmoose video I feel like I've turned on one of those old tvs with dials. Nice effect!
I love this channel. I mean, these videos just do not disappoint!
So they celebrate against a man who discourages drug use with taking alcohol. Maybe he started a prohibition and the ad was actually part of the plot.
its the same guy from " you missed that one, try another!"
That ol' man is a real bottle tosser.
I've been bingeing all of brutal mooses videos
1) FMV games were a lot of fun. I remember paying 14 cents for Sewer Shark on the SegaCD and getting so many hours of entertainment out of it. Great video on keeping the FMV fun alive! 2) Can we get a full version of "Get Him Star Ranger"? I want to blast that from my car stereo driving home from work so bad.
Every time you put out a video I get a big stupid grin on my face. Thanks dude!
The joke about the shoulder pads is iconic to me.
7:29 I actually really like her outfit. It's way better than the run-of-the-mill mainstream expensive brand crap absofuckingly EVERYBODY wears today.
Why are we blessed with another video so early?! Ian, your work ethic is amazing.
Happy belated birthday Brutalmoose
Fun historical fact: having the villain tell the player to not do drugs in a menacing voice was legally the closest you were allowed to get to saying the words "harm reduction" at the time.
Woah, is Ian missing a tooth? Look at 1:20
Nah, just a combination of pointy teeth and talking out of the side of my mouth haha
+brutalmoose I knew it, great video btw, I love watching you every time you upload. Can't wait for your next video
Ian is the greatest :)
BTW, Ian, I don't know if you actually didn't understand this or were just making a joke, but..
That lady said "fire", not "buyer".
Ian vampire confirmed
I’ve not seen such bravery
If you shoot the cow skull in world 3, you can access an Easter egg where you can fight Mad Dog McCree.
but does it become High Noon?
+Android 19 it's always high noon
I love your FMV video game reviews- each one of these games is a classic cheesy masterpiece
The main villain was a villain in a Bible man show I had as a kid
Lol, I remember that show xD
Are you sure it is not called Captain Bible? Because if it is.....
+CDA3000 No it was Bible Man. He was basically Batman.. But with the bible. And he had a lightsaber.
JackofAllSpadess Apparently the Christian community got angry because of the fact he was beating people up with lightsabers XD
Der Kaiser They would rather Bibleman silently judge people to death.
Don't shoot the postman strait from the buyer, but before lightning strikes = You should accept gifts from people but if they'll kill you don't accept them.
3:20 The reminded me of those arcade alien shooting games with civilians keep jumpscaring in the way resulting in me firing them, and I keep losing because I was trigger happy in those games.

am I the only one who is reminded of the Doctor Who Episode "The Pirate Planet" when I see the captain guy
Every time I see a non-televoid upload I die a bit inside.
But that's okay cuz i luv u moosey take ur time
Postman straight from the buyer... A guy with a sword... Oh, it's Swordsman straight from the fire!
Oh, so THIS is where Jontron got that skull exploding clip...
What video was it?
FMV games are so hilarious and charming. We should bring them back.
Sees brutalmoose on the feed! great! realizes it says ft. the completionist........ why ruin a perfectly good video u.u
I think featuring another person isn't that terrible, certainly not ruining the video.
what the hell jirard is a sweet fucking cinnamon roll
What's he been doing? I'm genuinely curious, things have seemed weird since he cut Greg.
When that old man said "what I need is a star Ranger" is it just me that he had started singing at the "what I need" bit?
4:11, you cannot give up, Ian, stay determined. - The completionist (totally not asgore).
get him star ranger
Old Dude was also in Mad Dog McCree and threw bottles in the air for you to target practice, but every time you missed a bottle he'd say "You missed that one. Here, try another!" and threw another bottle in the air. In other words, this is practically the same game, but with a Science Fiction genre to it instead of Western.
6:18 is that Wesley Crusher from Star Trek TNG
"Remember winners dont do drugs!" Okay i guess im not getting any MANLY MUSCLES today!
11:05 Do the Get Him Star Ranger Dance! *awkwardly waves both palms in the air
HOLY SHIT THAT BEGGINING WAS ALMOST WHAT GAME GRUMPS UPLOADED TODAY!!!!
remember, winners dont do charity fraud
to be honest even before this whole fraud thing, I never liked the guy, his voice was very annoying and he was just plain unfunny, im not gonna lie though his videos were entretaining
I'm gonna need a full upload of "Get 'Em Star Ranger!".
great moves, Ian, keep it up, proud of you
Oh, so this is where "Winners don't do drugs" in that one Jontron video is from
I love FMV too dude. My greatest joy was finding a new "Live Action" game. In the late 90s they were pretty cheap to buy from places like _Babbage's_. I WAS TRYING TO REMEMBER WHERE THAT PIRATE GUY LOOKED FAMILIAR AND IT WAS THE WINNER'S DON'T DO DRUGS THING AND WHEN YOU POINTED IT OUT I SCREAMED SO GOD DAMN LOUD
Great video Ian :D Lovely to see Jirard popping up too ;) Would love to see some Mad dog Mcrea action though
if jirard could be on the box of games he'd be here so many times...I do have a lot of bearded dudes on my game cases XD
This might be my favorite episode ever. GET 'IM STAR RANGER!
nice video, i love this reviews or more playthrows from old games.
Being that I'm sick, this video made me feel a lot better.
i love how good Jirad is at being a DJ 10:45
Jirard: ONWARD TO ADVENTURE
Moose: yeah I guess we can do that
Brutal Moose teaming up with the Completionist?! But you're rivals, in both gaming and Hana's heart!
Ian I love your reviews keep up the great work!
I would very much like to see a full version of "Get him, Star Ranger!"
Always remember: if you're a civilian near a firefight involving the protagonist, be sure to jump dorectly in front of them and tell them to "Get Captain Talon!"
It's been too long!!! love your vids mate
That's the first time I've seen a video game in an FLP case - those were usually used by Time Warner for some CD singles.
Whoa some crazy moiré effect or whatever you'd call it on your shirt there at the very end, starts around 14:12
This looks like it was SO fun to make
"Do listen to villains" okay I get what you're saying, but you know how if you're in a bank robbery and the manager is like "just do what the robbers say"? *DO LISTEN TO VILLAINS*
Last few seconds of the video were the best
Space Pirates sounds like a CNN headline for internet piracy.
I feel like I have seen that before in 1:28. Did you have that before on one of your videos?
Personally I love that these space pirates use gunpowder canons.
Also that early cgi ship is just magical.
Hahaha! Oh Moosie, you don't gotta tell me about Mad Dog McCree! After watching Arin fire and then miss and then fire and miss, he missed both time! Hahaha!!
1:22 "I've not seen such bravery."
"winners dont do drugs" he says as i grind my weed up. THANKS
