this game looks to be literally all i wanted out of the next monster hunter, a more grounded aesthetic, simulation of the ecosystem, large biomes, new and strange monsters, im very happy to say the least.
I’m glad they’re not continuing Rise’s style. It had some cool ideas, and I genuinely think every weapon should have a jump move to let even light weapons hit high spots a bit easier, but wire bugs were overdone, and monsters were made too spammy to compensate.

Main-series games like 4U and World are main team, 'portable-focused' titles like GU and Rise are the 'portable' team. They take the best ideas from each other from game to game, naturally, but the feel of their respective games is completely distinct. Wilds is A-team, so it's going to feel WAY more like World than it will like Rise even with additions like a personal mount.

I am beyond excited. Graphically its incredible, musically MH is always incredible. Riding is back and looking to be better than ever with the bird dog thing, monsters looking even more realistic/speculative evolution-y than normal. And there looks to be a weather system of some kind too. Maybe that's this game's gimmick? World has mantles and slingers. Rise has wirebugs. Maybe wilds' thing is fancy dynamic weather systems. Soon comrades, soon it shall be time to hunt once again.
first of all Hi there, hope everything's fine, i may have a problem with the graphics... am i the only one that doesn't see an upgrade? moreover like a downgrade due the living ecosystem (you know, like 20 -30 monsters on screen at the same time), i mean the lighting is kinda poor, the hair texture cards, the textures itself, i mean, don't get me wrong, i've been waiting for this 3 years and... well right now im a little bit disappointed, im hoping that capcom is updating his engine soon, the games that have been launched recently like ARK ASCENDED have a better quality and all that stuff, and yeah i know it's made in UE5 but man... you know what i'm tryng to explain.

Besides even if it looked the same as World, the amount of creatures on screen, the size of the map amongst othet things more than make up for it.

I think its incredibly important over what we DIDN'T get versus what we did. We didn't get proof of a hero, we didn't get that little nod to "This is home" *yet*. We did see: -huge environment -return of palamute style traversal -unprecedented number of traditionally target "monsters" -Dynamic weather??? -showcase of a side satchel holding what appears to be a bowgun stock? -Rathyboy So, I think we can already assume quite a bit. First of all, hunting quests ate over, orcentirely overhauled. There is no way in environments as vast as this, a 50 minute timer can exist. More so I'd see quests needing to be completed before a set time, much like a warcraft daily quest, be the game loop outside of story acts. Wilds gives us imagery of untamed, unsettled landscape, and the satchel setting that up beautifully. We're either going to be able to carry extra load outs with us into thus guiding lands esque experience, OR we'll have free range to change equipment and maybe even bank items on the go. No longer confined to towns and camps. This may also mean camps as static locations may be going away as well, in lieu of fast travel points in the environment, or perhaps even markers you can lay down a limited number of. I think with the lack of proof if a hero they are attempting to musically plant their flag, "This is NOT World 2. But an all together Wild beast!". And hopefully in the next tease we'll get that taste of home properly with this new context. I'm excited as all hell.

The MH team have perfected the art of crafting MH trailers. Every single one has you thinking "WAIT... no... WAIT... YES... WAIT" all up until the logo actually appears. Same thing happened with World and Rise, and Wilds is no different.

My first 3 thoughts 10 seconds into the trailer was: FFXVI, Ashes of Creation, then the MMORPG Dune game. after 10 seconds in, it dawned on me and I was crying and screaming. The friends I was watching TGA with were confused xD.

I wasn't expecting a new monster hunter but I was cautiously optimistic when watching this trailer for the first time and then completely lost it as soon as I heard the proof of a hero melody😂
I'm pretty sure this is gonna be a full open world game finally. No more city hubs or loading screens, but only one huge world map. It seems to take elements from the last zelda games and elden ring with the mount being very important for travel and platforming. Weather changes affecting hunts and even monster powers is gonna be awesome. Rumor is that this time the bases are gonna be towns and cities you can either find or develop yourself, so there may be a certain aspect of base building including, just not in the minecraft sense of building, but rather being able to see your bases become full towns and then cities while populating and taking control over the biomes. This is gonna be the best Monster Hunter game of all time, I can already see it.

I knew it was monster hunter instantly. Only in monster hunter could you have such a big sword with leather built into it. Plus no matter what the art style is, the weapons are always so distinct.
i don't really get it. Monster hunter has been around for ages now and the core gameplay loop does not change that much every time but I get hyped as fuck for every goddamn new monster hunter game.
Time to over analyze the title logo! So, the number logo itself consists of two dragons, not to mention the four surrounding them. So I'd have to guess we're getting at least two new elder dragons. Possibly they will 'reflect' each other, as the 'Wilds' Logo itself seems to be reflecting off water and the droplets that come with the title are like water droplets hitting on water. So possibly, at least one of these elder dragons will be a water type, which might be a 'good' Elder Dragon for a desert area? Just an opinion and hype filled over analysis lol.

You know I've always found MH fun but I never played any of the games because I felt I was too late to play any of them enjoyably. Not sure how it works entirley but I wanted to take down monsters and have epic fights alongside other people, I hope this one does that because I just might finally play a Monster Hunter game
True, It's never too late! I just bought MHW this month because Rise introduced me to the franchise! And it's still a blast! And you can make random people join your quest too! And still it's quite enjoyable! But, yes, most people already do have the endgame equipment making your base game campaign really easy (that's why i usually do solo it first)
I have never been more hyped and disappointed over a single game. Hyped because it looks fresh, and for a franchise that has, like 20 installments, that's saying a lot. I'm disappointed because of the 2025 release date, My only hope is it'll be a first quarter release. If I have to wait till the second half of the year, I'm going to lose my mind.
