There’s so many good ones, safi, shara, fatalis, raging brachy, but ultimately I picked dire miralis. I feel like it deserves some love. It gives such a feeling of impending doom, and I’d love to hear a modern rendition of that song.

Some additional context for anybody that doesn’t know, lots of these monsters don’t actually have ‘personal’ themes, so Capcom gave them area themes based on which maps were most fitting for the monster, and grouped those themes together! There’s a ton of hidden gems and I hope hearing some of the older themes get new fans interested in exploring some Old World MH lore The Expedition theme for Ruby Basarios is so incredible, it’s a randomly generated map that changes every time, with a random assortment of monsters, kind of a precursor to the Guiding Lands, but that’s why it’s more light/explorative/fun
So many of these songs are cut short by these sample size videos, a lot of them aren't done justice and I would love if some of these were explored more! Loved the video though, my personal favorite will always be Valstrax

Ive been wanting a reaction for The Dire Miralis theme for a while and seeing the reaction for just a small taste of the theme alone was worth the joy im having right now i hope we do get a full reaction to this theme since ive adored this theme so much cause its so good to listen

Safi'Jiiva's entire encounter has altered my brain chemistry permanently, they went so damn hard on the sound design for that fight on such a generic looking creature. Gave my vote to the Simple Gentle Sailor of my heart, but there are so many runners up it hurts to not give them some love. I do wish the Exploration theme from gen 4 wasn't slapped on a single overlooked monster like Ruby Basarios because that's one I think a lot of people are going to miss and deserves a lot of recognition; it's just so fun and whimsical and stands out amongst the entire series' monster tracks.
My list is as follows: 1. Safi'jiva. the target theme is absolutely terrifying 2. Shara Ishvalda. The second phase theme is a masterpiece 3. Laviente. The combination of the flutes and the percussion in the first phase has been stuck in my mind for nearly a decade 4. Crimson fatalis, monster hunter frontier version. there's this horrifying, almost lullaby-like chanting at the start of the first phase, before it explodes into this imperial march style orchestral theme. it just sounds so evil. 5. MHW Fatalis. not much to say. it's a fantastic theme for a fantastic fight. 6. Gaismagorm. I'm a massive sucker for anything that has a church organ. the theme combined with Gorm's horrifying design makes it feel like you're fighting some giant hellspawn that wants to destroy the planet. 7.Abiorugu. That chord at the beginning makes my hair stand on edge. also it reminds me of Shockwave's theme from Transformers: Dark of the Moon. 8. Rajang. monke. 9. Bazelguese. turns what should be a standard high-rank hunt into that one scene from Dunkirk with the Stuka bombers. 10. White Fatalis, Frontier version. Crimson Fatalis makes it sound like you're fighting to stop the end of the world. white fatalis sounds like you're witnessing the beginning of a new one. God is angry, and you are to blame.
i really want u to do the full breakdown for the 3 Magala's theme (Gore>Shagaru>Chaotic) imo one of the best monster in the game with the most epic theme in the series with a very intersting lore. the fact that the 3 theme still link with each other ESPECIALLY at Chaotic version is very cool

24:48 Everytime I hear this theme. I get a mixture of dread and absolutely psyched up to fight the White Fatalis. It's just such a fun fight. I fought him for the first time with few friends of mine in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Still the coolest theme in my opinion in any Monster Hunter game, there are a'lot of greats but this one will always stick with me.

I love how Ibushi’s and Narwa’s themes feel like a call and response listening to them side by side. They carry similar vibes and instruments but are so distinctly different
Oh I seriously hope you check out Narwa, Ibushi, + Allmother's themes soon. Allmother is probably my absolute favorite theme from base rise, and I found it extremely difficult to choose a theme.
Athal Ka is kinda an interesting one, with a desert zone with metal shards in the sand that pulls them together with webbing and turns it into a giant mech puppet.
1:22:38 I've voted for this theme. Tho I don't like the monster that much, but I just can't with the theme. It just gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. So much building in the theme and variety of dynamics loud and soft voice which are arranged at the perfect time. I don't know what others think or what is the trend, but for me I just like this theme the best.
To give some context for the Ukanlos monster. it doesn't roll, it is a giant ice elder dragon with chin shaped like an icebreaker ship hull. It swimms on the ice sea by ramming its face on the ice to open the way for itself. It is also called the white god, as opposed to its fire variant Akantor black god moniker.
Yeah, despite not being able to fly, Akantor and Ukanlos are flying wyverns. Although they don't have prominent wings, there are faint remnants of webbing on their arms, and stumps of what used to be wings. They have all the other characteristics of flying wyverns however like outward facing fore limbs, downward facing hind limbs, and a tail. Their ancestors would have had wings, but they lost them along with their ability to fly due to their massive size.
Ceadeus has two themes, the one in here is the second phase "Moonquake" wich plays when the Ceadeus is cornered and enraged, before his theme is "Lunar Abyss" its much more calm and majestic. Defenitly a theme you should listen to in full. Also recommend Gogmazios, Dire Miralis and Amatsus full themes.
the ruby basarios theme sounds so light and happy because thats the context of the first encounter and the area. You cant fight it normally you have to go to a randomly generated area to explore to find ruby basarios. That exploring is also not tied to feints or anything you can spend as much time as you want (or have wetstones)

I will never forget how 2nd phase Shara Ishvalda's theme is just terror and awe and chaos, but the moment it harmonizes with the main theme of the entire game it just struck me so much deeper than I thought a game could.
Zinogre's theme will always be king for me, but HIGHLY recommend you listen to the full version of Bloodbath Diablos' theme, with both movements. Lumbering and menacing turns to savage and violent in an instant. You can literally hear the moment it decides "Fuck this, I'm going to kill you." I love when VG composers incorporate the flow of gameplay events directly into their tracks.

@@Zahri8Alang Gore is not a failed metamorphosis, it is just the first nymph stage before shedding to Shagaru. Chaotic Gore is the failed molt. Also, that wouldn't really be an explanation even if it were true. The real reason is one outside of the game universe and in the real world - Gore was a flag-ship, so they wanted it to have a theme.
@@drbrownie444 Well, they never said Gore didn't have eyes, just that it was blind, which is true. In the Gore stage, the eyes - if it even has any - are completely covered by the black outer shell. This is extremely easy to tell when you look at the model for Sunbreak Chaotic Gore with the half-and-half face, there is an eye-socket on the molted side and no indent for an eye at all on the covered side. But, as I said, it is technically even just a socket, with no actual eye in it, so this may indicate that Gore don't even actually start to develop eyes until beginning the transition to Shagaru. Gore can "see" by shedding Frenzy particles around all over it and then being able to sense disturbances in that field by using its horns like bug antenna - since the shedding scales of the wings and the feeler horns and metamorphosis and prominent extra wing-arms were all for the moth theme Gore has as part of its basis.
Whats really cool about Shagaru Magala is that you are told what the "lyrics" are to its song right before the showdown in MH4. Of course it doesnt neatly fit the song but it makes that strong melody mean so much more knowing theres words there, just perhaps lost in translation from Wyverian. Would love to hear a full reaction to Gore Magala's theme down the line. Considering Gore's representation in MH4/U is that of a villain, its wings flowing of a dark veil like the big bad approaching the heroes in a big showdown. It's a great piece of music!
I love your depiction of akantor, one of his nicknames is "The Tyrant of Fire" so the erratic high lord description for his theme is really on point. As well for Ukanlos who is the counterpart of Akantor, the Tyrant of Ice. Fun fact: In Lore it is established that the Guild is terrified of the legend that states that whenever this two appears since they will want to travel to where the other is located, so they can fight to the death but if that would happen it would mean the end of the world. i love them both so much.

I voted for King Shakalaka's theme Assassin of the Sands. That one is such unique slavic sounding bop. Runner up's I was thinking of was either Valstrax's Silver Winged Scarlet Star and Iceborne's Roar's Across the Hinterlands.
Tbh they say it's great maccao but it actually plays when you fight against any bird wyvern raptor in mhgu Just like how in tri Great jaggi, great baggi, great wroggi have a shared theme between them And also the bears i guess in protable third : lagombi, volvidon, arzuros have the same theme
I definitely think every track should've gotten a full minute like Fatalis did. A lot of them end before their best parts, and some of them have multiple phases like Bloodbath Diablos. The real meat of Alatreon's theme is completely missing because it's intro is so long, Ceadeus' sample barely gets to it's vocals which is it's most impactful feature, which just so happens to happen to base Narwa, cutting off before the vocals come in for her theme. with Allmother barely getting ANYTHING to show. So many of these themes need to be listened to in full to fully appreciate, and the short samples are definitely gonna twist the poll around. Also, voted for Espinas. Love him, and he brings some of the excellent Frontier music over to mainline.
This game series has so many osts its insane, its evolved so much and its truely a blessing. Its a shame that the poll didnt include music from monster hunter frontier. That game is not considerd canon but its so unique to the others. Personally I picked gogmazios's theme because of how mysterious it is and then when you fight him and he enters 2cnd phase, it was a final bossfight to remember...
Man, hearing them all next to each other, I never really noticed how big MH is with percussion on their tracks. Really serves to drive you forward and keep you active without you really noticing.
I believe you would really appreciate listening to the entirety of Gore, Chaotic Gore, and Shagaru in one sitting to hear how those 3 songs are really a package deal of leitmotifs.

Bazelgeuse's theme as a hunting horn player that gave me nightmares. I'd be rocking on some monster getting my groove going then BA BAH! BABABABA BABABA! DUN NA NA NA! And it was time to run for the hills as every single wide swing caused massive explosions all around me. tempered B52 wasn't that challenging compared to the original entirely because they carpeted the entire field in bombs.
You should hear the full song off some off those (ibushi, narwa, dire miralis for example) because just like in vastrax part they cut ogg the good part
I voted for Gogmazios - You didnt hear it here, it has a second phase theme, were this huge monstrosity of a monster, in a twist, takes flight. And that phase transition is just etched into my mind, since that monster doesnt look like it should be .... able ... to fly.
I voted for Shagaru Magala, but man some themes are so good. Ceadeus, Dire Miralis, White Fatalis.... and some of the area themes too like the one for the Misty Peaks (which was ascribed to Duramboros here). Zamtrios, Seltas Queen, and Malfestio's too! Monster Hunter has so many good tracks!
For me it was a toss up between Tremors of Land and Sea and Golden Reminiscence. I ultimately chose the former, possibly through a sense of nostalgia and that I think it has a good chance of winning overall.

As much as I love Raging's, regular Valstrax's, and AT Nergi's themes, I'll probably have to go with the Rotten Vale theme if I get around to voting this time around, if only 'cause I'm not really worried about those first three not getting any love. Frozen White Knight makes me miss the DARK caves of Monster Hunter Tri - not even Ultimate had those - and seeing nothing of Barioth but a large shadow and those PIERCING, glowing eyes in the dark.
For me I chose kulve taroth, to this day no other theme gives me goosebumps like that, and I've lost count of the times I listened to it. Edit: I still get that same feeling from this theme from the first time I heard it
I legit became dire miralis enjoyer because of the OST even though the fight is quite tedious. Here hoping they reintroduce miralis in MH Wilds with better fight.
I would vote for "The Usurper of the Deserted Island" Maybe with that, theyll like improve the Alpha medium sized monster AI as well as their juveniles doing combination attacks like the Izuchi(the pair of Izuchi with Great Izuchi always have increased health and a wee more resistant to being interrupted)

its hard for me to say which theme is my #1 best. But some of my top favorites are OG Rathian, Diorex, Mizutsune (Rise), Brachydios (World), Ahtal-Ka, and Shantien.
Part of me knows the community is gonna vote hard for Khezu for the memes (I didn’t) - but I’d be pleasantly surprised if the special remaster Capcom gave us would be them creating a bespoke theme for it. Though I’m torn on whether people would feel betrayed if they didn’t give us a remaster of nothingness.

Some additional context for anybody that doesn’t know, lots of these monsters don’t actually have ‘personal’ themes, so Capcom gave them area themes based on which maps were most fitting for the monster, and grouped those themes together! There’s a ton of hidden gems and I hope hearing some of the older themes get new fans interested in exploring some Old World MH lore
The Expedition theme for Ruby Basarios is so incredible, it’s a randomly generated map that changes every time, with a random assortment of monsters, kind of a precursor to the Guiding Lands, but that’s why it’s more light/explorative/fun
So many of these songs are cut short by these sample size videos, a lot of them aren't done justice and I would love if some of these were explored more! Loved the video though, my personal favorite will always be Valstrax

Marco NEEDS to fully listen to all of the serpent themes (Ibushi, Narwa, AllMother) they're all so unique and amazing. So much of a story in their themes especially the singers. They're definitely getting high rankings on the poll
They did a lot of these songs dirty with the short clip length, a lot of them cut out before they get to the best parts.
I guess the point was to just to remind experienced hunters of the song, rather than giving discovery.

The nothingness you hear in each Khezu theme has such a heavy weight, nothing distracting you from this abomination presented with you.
It's even better in the first generation because you almost always fight him inside of a cave, so the only thing you're hearing is this really eerie ambiance while this eyeless creature is assaulting you.

Bloodbath diablos is the onky deviant that has a unique theme (2 themes) since he's the second flasghip of mhgu, both of his themes are remixes of every desert area that he appeared in, these themes are remixed in a very chilling monstrous way
Ibushi, narwa, all mother narwa and ceadeus use lyrics in the monster hunter language, ibushi and narwa and her second form have an extra theme that you get when you buy the official rise soundtrack which replaces the monster hunter language lyrics with japanese lyrics
White fatalis has a unique theme in monster hunter frontier
Crimson fatalis has 2 terrifying themes in mh Frontiers
I think the woman that sung the Ceadeus and mhtri ending theme is a known singer in the monster hunter world that mh frontier did show, she also sings the mhdos main theme and other stuff, i think she returened for the mhrsunbreak ending theme though idk that much maybe I'm wrong
No somnacanth does not have a theme, she uses map themes
The jungle map returned in sunbreak and had it's own theme that was used in the old games but got a new remix in mhsunbreak, (also the original version uses islamic "Adhan" in it just like the dodongo caverns in ocarina of time, thats the cool chant that you heard)
The forlorn arena has its own theme for the old games and it returend in sunbreak with a new remix, that's why these monsters that only appear in that arena share it's theme: molten tigrex, lucent nargacuga, abyssal lagiacrus those are rare species that only appear there, violet mizu does appear there as a rare species but only uses it's theme in the first phase since the swcond phase uses the mhr mizutsune them, and in the old games kirin used to have the forlorn arena theme instead of the map theme because of his ambiguous nature, since the forlorn arena is a remnant of the ancient civilization in the form of a citadel under a giant tower made of kushala steel(lore stuff)
Ruby basarios doesn't have a theme but he uses the Everwoods theme when he's there ( the everwood is a mh4u exclusive area that you spent most of your endgame in, it's a weird area that shifts constatky and is a attempt at creating a monster hunter maze map
The sandy plains map got a whole new theme when ut returned in rise rather than the originial mhtri theme
The flooded forest returned in rise and got a new rendition of the old mhtri theme with a new segment
🔴Mhw remixes samples village themes of the game that each monster came from:
Glavenus: samples the bherna theme
Nargacuga and Tigrex: sample the pokke village theme
Fatalis: samples the kokoto village theme (og monster hunter village)
Zinogre: samples the yokomi village theme
Barchydios: I'm not sure if he does but i think he samples the port tanzia theme
Somnacanth sings the theme of every map she's in when she's alone in specific areas(3 maps in total: flooded forest, kava caverns, frost islands)
Mhw and iceborne added : small and middle monsters area themes, chase themes, and mount themes which just adds a heavy instrument to the already existing theme
Mhrise and sun break only has removed the mount themes and middle monster themes, it kept the small monster encounter theme and the chase theme(imo the chase theme in rise and sunbreak are better than world and iceborne since they add new stuff rather than most of the world and iceborne chase themes that just adds a chase redition of the theme, some rise highlights are: nargacuga chase theme, sandy plains chase theme, malzeno chase theme)
The alatreon theme samples the mhtri main theme at the end of the song (also the iceborne version is really god but i like the og more because if the electric guitars and organs and more missing stuff in the iceborne version)
Khezu is blind that's why he doesn't have a theme or play the map theme since the devs said that the monster has to see you in order for his theme to start (yet gore has a theme even though he doesn't see you but feels you with his horns and virus, though khezu is mostly a terrifying monster and...a joke monster that we all know what it is referencing...

Ukanlos is known as the white god and likes to live alone in extreme cold areas that no one dares to aproach, he uses his giant shovel like chin to borrow and dig under the high amount if snow and also to create a passage for himself...but it's not just used for movement...you see he's called the dragon killer wyvern because he was sighted killing kushalas by piercing their steel armor with his chin, he doesn't go out of his way to do this but rather does is when there's an intruder in his "lonely corner"/turf

Safi'Jiiva's entire encounter has altered my brain chemistry permanently, they went so damn hard on the sound design for that fight on such a generic looking creature. Gave my vote to the Simple Gentle Sailor of my heart, but there are so many runners up it hurts to not give them some love.
I do wish the Exploration theme from gen 4 wasn't slapped on a single overlooked monster like Ruby Basarios because that's one I think a lot of people are going to miss and deserves a lot of recognition; it's just so fun and whimsical and stands out amongst the entire series' monster tracks.
What I like about Namielle’s theme is that, to me at least, just sounds like Audible Drowning: The Musical
My list is as follows:
1. Safi'jiva. the target theme is absolutely terrifying
2. Shara Ishvalda. The second phase theme is a masterpiece
3. Laviente. The combination of the flutes and the percussion in the first phase has been stuck in my mind for nearly a decade
4. Crimson fatalis, monster hunter frontier version. there's this horrifying, almost lullaby-like chanting at the start of the first phase, before it explodes into this imperial march style orchestral theme. it just sounds so evil.
5. MHW Fatalis. not much to say. it's a fantastic theme for a fantastic fight.
6. Gaismagorm. I'm a massive sucker for anything that has a church organ. the theme combined with Gorm's horrifying design makes it feel like you're fighting some giant hellspawn that wants to destroy the planet.
7.Abiorugu. That chord at the beginning makes my hair stand on edge. also it reminds me of Shockwave's theme from Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
8. Rajang. monke.
9. Bazelguese. turns what should be a standard high-rank hunt into that one scene from Dunkirk with the Stuka bombers.
10. White Fatalis, Frontier version. Crimson Fatalis makes it sound like you're fighting to stop the end of the world. white fatalis sounds like you're witnessing the beginning of a new one. God is angry, and you are to blame.
i really want u to do the full breakdown for the 3 Magala's theme (Gore>Shagaru>Chaotic) imo one of the best monster in the game with the most epic theme in the series with a very intersting lore. the fact that the 3 theme still link with each other ESPECIALLY at Chaotic version is very cool

24:48 Everytime I hear this theme. I get a mixture of dread and absolutely psyched up to fight the White Fatalis. It's just such a fun fight. I fought him for the first time with few friends of mine in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. Still the coolest theme in my opinion in any Monster Hunter game, there are a'lot of greats but this one will always stick with me.

I love how Ibushi’s and Narwa’s themes feel like a call and response listening to them side by side. They carry similar vibes and instruments but are so distinctly different
Oh I seriously hope you check out Narwa, Ibushi, + Allmother's themes soon. Allmother is probably my absolute favorite theme from base rise, and I found it extremely difficult to choose a theme.
Athal Ka is kinda an interesting one, with a desert zone with metal shards in the sand that pulls them together with webbing and turns it into a giant mech puppet.
1:22:38 I've voted for this theme. Tho I don't like the monster that much, but I just can't with the theme. It just gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. So much building in the theme and variety of dynamics loud and soft voice which are arranged at the perfect time. I don't know what others think or what is the trend, but for me I just like this theme the best.
To give some context for the Ukanlos monster. it doesn't roll, it is a giant ice elder dragon with chin shaped like an icebreaker ship hull. It swimms on the ice sea by ramming its face on the ice to open the way for itself. It is also called the white god, as opposed to its fire variant Akantor black god moniker.

Yeah, despite not being able to fly, Akantor and Ukanlos are flying wyverns. Although they don't have prominent wings, there are faint remnants of webbing on their arms, and stumps of what used to be wings. They have all the other characteristics of flying wyverns however like outward facing fore limbs, downward facing hind limbs, and a tail. Their ancestors would have had wings, but they lost them along with their ability to fly due to their massive size.

Mizutsune’s theme for me. But Monster hunter is just filled to the brims with awesome music.
Ceadeus has two themes, the one in here is the second phase "Moonquake" wich plays when the Ceadeus is cornered and enraged, before his theme is "Lunar Abyss" its much more calm and majestic.
Defenitly a theme you should listen to in full.
Also recommend Gogmazios, Dire Miralis and Amatsus full themes.
the ruby basarios theme sounds so light and happy because thats the context of the first encounter and the area. You cant fight it normally you have to go to a randomly generated area to explore to find ruby basarios. That exploring is also not tied to feints or anything you can spend as much time as you want (or have wetstones)

There's a first phase to the Ceadeus music called "The Lunar Abyss". It is a gorgeously somber piece.
I will never forget how 2nd phase Shara Ishvalda's theme is just terror and awe and chaos, but the moment it harmonizes with the main theme of the entire game it just struck me so much deeper than I thought a game could.

Zinogre's theme will always be king for me, but HIGHLY recommend you listen to the full version of Bloodbath Diablos' theme, with both movements. Lumbering and menacing turns to savage and violent in an instant. You can literally hear the moment it decides "Fuck this, I'm going to kill you." I love when VG composers incorporate the flow of gameplay events directly into their tracks.

Also, that wouldn't really be an explanation even if it were true. The real reason is one outside of the game universe and in the real world - Gore was a flag-ship, so they wanted it to have a theme.
@@drbrownie444 Well, they never said Gore didn't have eyes, just that it was blind, which is true. In the Gore stage, the eyes - if it even has any - are completely covered by the black outer shell. This is extremely easy to tell when you look at the model for Sunbreak Chaotic Gore with the half-and-half face, there is an eye-socket on the molted side and no indent for an eye at all on the covered side. But, as I said, it is technically even just a socket, with no actual eye in it, so this may indicate that Gore don't even actually start to develop eyes until beginning the transition to Shagaru.
Gore can "see" by shedding Frenzy particles around all over it and then being able to sense disturbances in that field by using its horns like bug antenna - since the shedding scales of the wings and the feeler horns and metamorphosis and prominent extra wing-arms were all for the moth theme Gore has as part of its basis.
Ahtal ka's theme with proof of the hero at the end will always remind me of when i truely fell in love with mh.

Whats really cool about Shagaru Magala is that you are told what the "lyrics" are to its song right before the showdown in MH4. Of course it doesnt neatly fit the song but it makes that strong melody mean so much more knowing theres words there, just perhaps lost in translation from Wyverian.

Would love to hear a full reaction to Gore Magala's theme down the line. Considering Gore's representation in MH4/U is that of a villain, its wings flowing of a dark veil like the big bad approaching the heroes in a big showdown. It's a great piece of music!

I love your depiction of akantor, one of his nicknames is "The Tyrant of Fire" so the erratic high lord description for his theme is really on point.
As well for Ukanlos who is the counterpart of Akantor, the Tyrant of Ice.
Fun fact: In Lore it is established that the Guild is terrified of the legend that states that whenever this two appears since they will want to travel to where the other is located, so they can fight to the death but if that would happen it would mean the end of the world.

Safi'jiiva is just the most phenomenal themes of MH history. I remember watching that video of your reaction to it. I really enjoy the intensity and meanings of it.
I voted for King Shakalaka's theme Assassin of the Sands. That one is such unique slavic sounding bop. Runner up's I was thinking of was either Valstrax's Silver Winged Scarlet Star and Iceborne's Roar's Across the Hinterlands.

I really hope you check out the full Dire Miralis theme someday, the sample really undersells the raw emotion of it.
I definitely think every track should've gotten a full minute like Fatalis did. A lot of them end before their best parts, and some of them have multiple phases like Bloodbath Diablos. The real meat of Alatreon's theme is completely missing because it's intro is so long, Ceadeus' sample barely gets to it's vocals which is it's most impactful feature, which just so happens to happen to base Narwa, cutting off before the vocals come in for her theme. with Allmother barely getting ANYTHING to show. So many of these themes need to be listened to in full to fully appreciate, and the short samples are definitely gonna twist the poll around.
Also, voted for Espinas. Love him, and he brings some of the excellent Frontier music over to mainline.

White Fatalis just has everything, from divine to ominous, and it's easily my favorite of the entire series.

This game series has so many osts its insane, its evolved so much and its truely a blessing. Its a shame that the poll didnt include music from monster hunter frontier. That game is not considerd canon but its so unique to the others.
Personally I picked gogmazios's theme because of how mysterious it is and then when you fight him and he enters 2cnd phase, it was a final bossfight to remember...
Man, hearing them all next to each other, I never really noticed how big MH is with percussion on their tracks. Really serves to drive you forward and keep you active without you really noticing.
I believe you would really appreciate listening to the entirety of Gore, Chaotic Gore, and Shagaru in one sitting to hear how those 3 songs are really a package deal of leitmotifs.

Bazelgeuse's theme as a hunting horn player that gave me nightmares. I'd be rocking on some monster getting my groove going then BA BAH! BABABABA BABABA! DUN NA NA NA! And it was time to run for the hills as every single wide swing caused massive explosions all around me.
tempered B52 wasn't that challenging compared to the original entirely because they carpeted the entire field in bombs.
Yian Garuga theme described as "crazed". Yes, that is definitely that monster.
You should hear the full song off some off those (ibushi, narwa, dire miralis for example) because just like in vastrax part they cut ogg the good part

I voted for Gogmazios - You didnt hear it here, it has a second phase theme, were this huge monstrosity of a monster, in a twist, takes flight.
And that phase transition is just etched into my mind, since that monster doesnt look like it should be .... able ... to fly.

I voted for Shagaru Magala, but man some themes are so good. Ceadeus, Dire Miralis, White Fatalis.... and some of the area themes too like the one for the Misty Peaks (which was ascribed to Duramboros here). Zamtrios, Seltas Queen, and Malfestio's too! Monster Hunter has so many good tracks!
For me it was a toss up between Tremors of Land and Sea and Golden Reminiscence.
I ultimately chose the former, possibly through a sense of nostalgia and that I think it has a good chance of winning overall.

Marco, the Ahtal-ka is a golden mantis thats produces silk strings thats Its use for control objects like a puppeter, and the Ahtal-Neset is a chipboard of junk and mechanizing of the castle ruins where the Ahtal-ka make its home and its control It Inside a cocoon made of its silk that is inside of the Ahtal-Neset.

Frozen White Knight makes me miss the DARK caves of Monster Hunter Tri - not even Ultimate had those - and seeing nothing of Barioth but a large shadow and those PIERCING, glowing eyes in the dark.

OH MY GOD is it my birthday or something? I've been waiting for someone to do a mh music review for ages
its hard for me to say which theme is my #1 best. But some of my top favorites are OG Rathian, Diorex, Mizutsune (Rise), Brachydios (World), Ahtal-Ka, and Shantien.
Part of me knows the community is gonna vote hard for Khezu for the memes (I didn’t) - but I’d be pleasantly surprised if the special remaster Capcom gave us would be them creating a bespoke theme for it. Though I’m torn on whether people would feel betrayed if they didn’t give us a remaster of nothingness.
