@G With The Headphones With age lower notes do come for tenor..... You just need to practice with a relaxed throat in the morning (as the voice is deepest) and also sing in the lower range regularly........ You too said right thing, 😇
@G With The Headphones most tenors should be able to hit the money notes of a bass. as a lyric tenor i've hit tenuous G1-C2 in chest-dominant strohbass. in pure chest generally D#2. tenors below that should approach or hit C2 (& E1 in strohbass)

I can’t sing as high as a tenor or as low as a bass. Ive tried to get to tenor for about a year now but it just ain’t working, so now I’m trying out bass lol
To me, for a low tenor, I can go in the baritone range, and the high tenor range, I can’t sing as low as a baritone or as high as a high tenor. I can also barely sing bass
I already know what this is. I’ve been doing choir since 7th grade and I’m freshman and I’m doing show choir next year. I know all of them. Soprano, tenor, counter tenor, alto, bass, baritone, contralto, mezzo soprano. I’m baritone right now. But I want to be tenor by the time I’m show choir next year
Lol. To everyone now convinced that they have a 7 octave range. Watch again and note that the description is "...a range of pitches that someone can SING" So it's not a range of pitches that someone can reach, squek, gasp, whisper, growl, breathe etc. etc..... But SING. x)
Well said!! This is actually a common problem I find with singers. So focused on being able to sing high notes, but the rest of the range needs to sound good first. Also, you’re right, what’s the point of singing high if it sounds terrible?
@@nickhiggsthesinger Totally. And same goes for the low notes. I've got a low voice for a woman and after years of struggling to sing along with other women, the realization that I could sing lower than many... Yeah I definitely went a bit nuts trying to sing lower and lower. Took me some time to realise that I was risking vocal injury trying to sing lower and lower and that even though my very lowest notes are quite cool... They aren't my BEST sounding notes. So even though I can hit fairly low notes with good pitch accuracy and volume, they are more like a circus trick than actually pretty singing. So nowadays I try to limit my enthusiasm to show off my lower range, and instead go as low as I can pleasantly, comfortably and audibly - without sounding breathy, or hurting my voice.
I'm baritone too, sometimes im in tenor and sometimes in bass in the choir, but mostly in tenor, my vocal coach calsification my voice types is high baritone or low tenor.

Countertenors aren't born, they're trained. They are just guys who sing in head voice primarily. A large percentage of them are naturally baritone, and can sing low, but haven't worked on developing the skill.
For some odd reason, my vocal range is from C4 to E6, and I can sing the soprano part of the Hallelujah Chorus comfortably with a proper warm up,but my normal speaking voice is in the alto range. Kind of weird.
Can u please explain to me my vocal range cuz I used an app for that and the lowest I reached was D2 and the highest was C6 and D6 and Idk if it's good or bad ( I'm a male btw if that matters )
I think It's obligatory to clarify that a vocal classification doesn't take in consideration the whole vocal range from a person. A lot of people are going to believe that they are Sopranos or Bass and will try to force their voices on those notes and that is dangerous.
Completely agree! It goes beyond vocal range, for sure. For the purposes of this video, it’s simplest to look at it this way, but for most of my students, we simply go by what is comfortable and feels more natural
Agree! My vocal coach in college was convinced I was a true bass and wanted me to extend my lower range and to be able to bring my chest voice into my upper range like operatic basses ( but I couldn’t do that). I couldn’t go pass Eb2, don’t have power in my lower range and my vocal color switches during specific parts of my range. I thought I was just a horrible bass…turns out I was a baritone forced to be a bass
I can sing a confident E2, if I warm up I can hit a confident C2. I consider myself a baritone tho, my chest voice ends at C4-F4 and my falsetto at C5-G5. I think I only sound good when I sing Elvis, The Strokes, Soda Stereo, The Doors. So Baritones, sing some Elvis 😂.
I've got a three octave range. Definitely a tenor in my most comfortable pitches, but I can go up to G#5 and as low as F2 if the song I'm singing does.
@@tyronvillamor8848 wow g5,but are you sure it was chest and not mixed? if you were sure that it is indeed chest then youre definitely soprano. I honestly can't figure out what I am, when I sing sometimes I think I'm a tenor and sometimes I think I'm a bass, I have doubts because I can't go lower than F2 (without forcing) and E2 ( forced) and the maximum I can reach in the treble is an A3 or a B3. Are you a trained singer? If not, then maybe you could go through some vocal training or vocal coaching. If you do that, then you'll have an easier time determining your voice type.
Can someone explain to me how it's possible that I am a male alto? I don't force the range, it's what's comfortable for me, but I'm being told it's impossible for me to be an alto because im male
In my school choir i was placed in the bass but i can also reach some parts at tenor i think the reason i was placed in bass cos there were only 4 in bass while there was 6 at tenor
Then you have a well-developed range. It’s easier to have that if you’re a Baritone since you have vocal chords long enough to hit the low bass notes but a high enough range to catch up with the tenors.
