- The Forty Three is a total song machine and I could not put it down. Based on Buddy Holly's Gibson J-45, Atkin Guitars have produced nothing less than a miracle guitar.

You're singing brought a lot of very positive vibes out of you, and so thanks to Atkin and Klangfarbe for helping it happen.
Thank you.
This video was such a treat to watch!!!! Thank you Andy! Oh! and YES! More music please!!!!
Best sounding demo of this guitar I've heard.... perfectly mic'd up. Think I found my 43rd birthday present!
Came for the gear, stayed for the original music
I can’t claim the songs, only the performance ❤️
It's The JCB Song by Nizlopi.
It was great hearing you sing while playing. I've listen a few times!
Thanks! Was a bit nervous about posting this but I had so much fun
I have finally caught up on videos, this is the last one and so glad I got to see it, you sounded wonderful!
You sweeten up my evening with you singing Andy! 🥰
Great video. I had no idea you had such a nice clear voice. Really good singing as well as playing. God bless you and your family!! Jimmy in NC....
Delicious singing and playing! Just lovely!
I love this video, nice to see someone else attempt to put into words the feeling of playing an Atkin! My wife just rolled her eyes overhearing me watching it and I said “SEE!! It’s not just me!!” 😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it! It's totally true
Great voice and playing, Andy, that 2nd song was very moving. Cheers from Paris!
Thanks Brislee. I’ll get more music on the channel
Didn't expect you to sing like that... Damn that's nice! Give us more of your music!
Thank you! Happy to do that
Man, you should sing more often!
Andy! More singing! More original songs! You've got a great voice and my wife and I really liked hearing the songs scattered through the video 😃
Thanks so much. I’ll bring you more music for sure. It’s a step I’ve wanted to take for a long while.
@@TheGuitarGeek The perfect voice for an acoustic folk singer!
Good fun review and a great sounding guitar
What a lovely voice you have Andy and that guitar is one of the sweetest sounding I’ve heard in a long while. I reckon this would
InspIre you to write more. That was brilliant 😀👍
Ps the tractor song was a big hit here on Ireland
Dude, that guitar sounds amazing. 👌 Only ever seen Atkin in 'cross-the-pond videos, but they are stunning. The kinds of guitars you'd want to take to sing songs around a campfire but be afraid to take for fear of something happening to it. Stray cinder. Raccoon attack. Drunk brother stumbling into you. Trees not providing adequate acoustics...
Dude…grabbed me at the first 3 notes. Nice singing, too.
beautiful guitar! Wondering if you had a chance to compare this side by side with a new Banner J-45 and your thoughts between them? They're quite similar in price so it would be nice to know.
Fabulous.
Nizlopi seems to float in and out of my consciousness on a regular basis.
I love the “inside Llewyn Davis” intro ❤ loved that film and songs
Great performance Andy! Sweet gitfiddle too!
Thanks Dan! It’s a great song maker
I got me a j43 last week, awesome instrument, it's the one I'm keeping after having had 2 j45s
Lovely playing and singing Andy! It sounds like a great powerful guitar. I will definitely try one when i get to a guitar store!
Try one but be careful! Picking one up got me in a lot of trouble
Hahaha, I won't have that problem i think. I am looking for a serious acoustic and there is a lot in the market. Sadly you can only spend money once.
@@Buzzel-NL on the other hand, it’s only money…
Amazing guitar. I have a 2010 J45 and it used to sound like this. I couldn’t play it because the action was too high. So I sanded down the saddle. Now I can play it but it doesn’t have the same tone as it used to 😢
Wow I used play and sing this song to my son . Fantastic guitars
Love it! I recently bought a Gibson inspired Epiphone J-45 and love it. Then I heard the Eastman 10SS. My ears went crazy for it! Now this one has my ears all a flutter! So is the life of a guitar geek!! Really cool! 🤩😍
There is no end !
Who knew you had such a great voice - well done.
Thank you!
Sounds so nice
Love the look of the one second left top shelf
Yeah, what is that?
Dude, you have a great voice!!!!
what guitar is up there standing on the right with that floating pickup? just being curious ;)
Love the guitar and the music.
1943, midwar, was this still in the Banner Era of the big G?
I mean, there might be something like a banner on the headstock.
(the banner said something like "Only a big G is good enough")
Wow ! really nice vocals Andy, first time Id heard you sing
Thank you. I really love singing so I’m happy to share that with you. I’ll be doing more
@@TheGuitarGeek Really impressive mate, thumbs up
Love it. Please tell me you took it home. :-)
has a bit of a rosewood ring...very nice.....
Killer review. But for the record by measurement j45s are actually slightly bigger than dreadnaught size. The lower bout gets a lil wider and longer.
Lovely guitar, and you can carry a tune too Andy.
Hello - Discord server link is invalid or has expired!??
I have the Atkin 47 , best guitar I’ve ever played
Great looking guitar. I would love to see this compared to an Eastman E10SS.
I’ll see if i can make it happen
lmao no comparison
The Eastman is warmer across the mids and doesn’t have the J45 thump on the bottom or the sparkle on the top…different voicing.
Still, the Eastman sounds very, very good.
I thought they were good value when I played them. They are lively and fun to play and you don't have to go searching for a "good one" like with Martin or Gibson because they are all great
I can see how one can be enraptured by its tone.
Holy shit you have an incredible voice
Sounds nice. To expensive for me. Impressed with your singing. You use anything to help your singing?
It’s certainly an investment. Thanks for the kind words. What do you mean by help?
Do you use a pedal with pitch correction, harmony and such?
Your fro is epic man. You must be part poodle. And nice guitar!
Thank you! I think I’m mostly poodle
There can be only one.
Or a few
Ok there can be a bunch but only one favorite.
Edits after the podcast airs or I get my Pia which ever comes first.
How many One's can there be?
@@TheGuitarGeek how many stars are in the sky… cause it’s that many plus one.
I bet that +1 one is a PIa 🤘🏽
So what's it cost?
Internet tells me 3.500 euro's
Yes, this one is 3.5K it is a lot of money but it’s not a thing to look at. It’s a tool that helps bring out the best of ones creative side
If Howard Stern and Pat Metheny had a baby...
I'm not sure, I can't tell? 🤔 Did he like it?
😜
make more music, pleeeeeeaaase
Will do!
So true!!! Have 1 myself way better than the Gibson
yeah, it sounds great...totally balanced...favourite acoustic i've ever played was an atkins, should have bought it tbh......too much talking here though
Couldn't agree more!
did u buy it??? go for it
$4350
Yikes
Yes but what an instrument
Ouch, there is NO way i could justify that! For $1500 odd i can get an Eastman SS either 20 or 10, haven't made my mind up which yet, but they are very close to the J45, and a LOT less money. No way these prices can be justified under that sort of scrutiny.
Just waiting for my parents to die so I can afford to buy one with the will money.
