    Very beautiful video, you kept the flow going throughout even when it could've easily been lost. The use of vaults was also really neat, well done!
    On another note, have you seen the video "unremarkable and odd places in assassin's creed"? It's a short but really interesting dive into the design and environmental storytelling of some of the regions in the game, I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of AC1

    How do you cancel the ledge grabs so quickly?

    • @animusdrifter
      @animusdrifter  7 месяцев назад +1

      So, to be able to quickly cancel from a grab like i do in the video, you need to perform a specific type of grab, which i like to call a Perfect Grab. This grab isn't anything special in how you trigger it, because it's just a normal, manual ledge grab, just performed in a specific context, in which the characters land/grab onto a handhold or ledge with both their hands and feet. You can actively recognize its execution through the very snappy and instantaneous transition into the grab animation as well

    • @sethmorton1856
      @sethmorton1856 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@animusdrifterah, so it's just a grab with a foothold. The game allows you to dismount much quicker from those?

    • @animusdrifter
      @animusdrifter  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@sethmorton1856 Indeed! It allows only for fast ejects and climb leaps, while drops have the same timing. Haven't experimented with tackles, though
