I'm really starting to like these guys!!! I'm a sucker for history in my music. It's one of the things that got me into Iron Maiden so fervently. GREAT reaction Dom!!! So great to see you. Hope the little ones are well. Can't wait for next!!! CHEERS...🍻🤟👏
Now... Just want to mention... this have been my go to song since it was released in 2005, so I have been listening to this song for almost 20 years by this time.... oh god im old -.-
I know yours is a music reaction but seeing as you are a history buff , may i suggest two Jeremy Clarkson documentaries from a few years ago, one about the Victoria Cross, the other titled "The Greatest raid of all" about a ww2 commando raid on the port at St Nazaire
Funnily enough stumbled across this band number of years ago on RUclips and recently your reviews of them. Brilliant and yet an educational metal band 🤘🎸
Yep, tanks, Joakim likes tanks, they have more songs, I believe, about tanks than any thing else. This music video was released in 2018, but the song is much older. Title track to the debut album released in 2005. (2nd album recorded, Metalizer was 1st recorded but was 3rd released due to issues with their first label). If you remember the music video for Bismarck, Primo Victoria was the name painted on the boat the band went out in. What should you do next from them? Suggest another song about tanks, lol, "Ghost Division", live from the 2012 Polish Woodstock festival.
I sent a clip from the crowd of this song to my friend who was already jealous that I was seeing them live. It didn't help her feel any better... Awesome.
D-Day, which took place on June 6, 1944, was the code name for the Allied invasion of Normandy in France during World War II. It was one of the largest amphibious invasions in history and marked the beginning of an extensive offensive by the Allies against Nazi Germany in Western Europe. The invasion involved a massive landing of troops from the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other Allied nations, who landed on five beaches in Normandy known as Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. D-Day was critical for establishing a stronghold in Europe, which later led to the liberation of France and ultimately the defeat of Nazi Germany. The operation was carefully planned and involved extensive logistical and military preparations, including false information to mislead the German military about the invasion site. D-Day is considered a turning point in the war and had significant consequences for the outcome of the conflict.
@@themetalmuse I want to give you a little tip, check out Tommy J's channel, choose which cover you want! You will find the best that has happened to the world there! TBH I think it’s scarier tho if you’re hiding in a trench likely to get crushed. Having read a lot of primary sources during my history degree I can’t get that horrible idea out my head when I hear it. Just cold and mechanical death. Similar when I think of war horses and how many of them died and those in the trenches could hear them dying. Jesus I am tearing up just typing this. Don’t need these thoughts in my head so early in the morning.
World of Tanks also did the video for Steel Commander and added a Sabaton themed tank into their World of Tanks Games. Their World of Ships Division also did the non fishing boat & dockside bits of Bismark.
this song in it´s first release version in 2005 brought me to metal. great song :) if you want some heartbreaking songs then try "price of a mile" or "angels calling" (ft apocalyptica)
If you want two really fun Sabaton songs that gives you more energy than you'll know what to do with you should listen to Devil Dogs and 82:nd all the way. EDIT: Oh and if you want another that really slaps you in the face you should go with "Defence of Moscow".
@@themetalmuse i mean the Sabaton music video. The sound for the tanks and so on is louder than the music. Nothing wrong at all with your reaction video 😊
Not criticizing, but do your really find it so hard to understand what Joakim is singing? I mean, I can tell he sings with a Swedish accent, but it is very intelligible to me at least. I'm Swedish, so maybe that helps.
"Great guitar, great vocals, it had tanks" recipe for a great song
😋😋😋
This song is what Joakim called the birth of the "Sabaton sound" that we are all familiar with today.
I can see why!
"aiming for heaven, though serving in hell." is an absolute bar
I know right!!!
From Sabaton I so learned history through their music and lyrics, the band that raised songs from the history of warfare, Sabaton's best
I love this song and I love your reactions so win/win with this video
Thank you 🙏
🖤🖤🖤🖤 Lest we forget! All the love from Germany!
Greetings also from Germany 🇩🇪
@@themetalmuse what a surprise! Well, have you ever heard of the Band "Umbra et Imago"? check out "Sweat Gwendoline" ;)
This song got me into Sabaton.
Defo a gate way song! Mine was The Last Stand
me too 🙂
Same here like 13 years ago!
Seeing women connect so solidly with heavy metal, especially with such an in-your-face serious and sobering message. It is something.
Yes. They are very good.
🥳🥳🥳

This song is so under the radar with Sabaton and to me its my favorite song by them.
It’s damn brillant!

Fun fact: the Swedish Army used to have British Centurion tanks, and Sabaton is shown as driving one of those in the video.
I love a good fun fact!

I will 🙏 I’m seeing Apocalyptica this year.
@@themetalmuse awsome, it will be a hell of a show
I'm a huge fan of Sabaton... You did't cry at En Livstid I Krig :(
You should react to Sabaton’s cover of “1916”. Make sure you have tissues on standby for it.
I’ve already done that and yes….. I sobbed all the way….
Sabaton final solution
Far From the Fame - Sabaton. Karel Janoušek next please.

Great song, but the sound editor must have been on vacation when they recorded this videos 😆
What sound editor? This ain’t a pro channel with helpers. It’s me figuring it out.

Oh it’s just I’ve been having sound troubles so I was worried it was off.
Sabaton admits the war sounds are too loud. Future videos have a better balance.

It’s PVC and why not? 😎
Check girly band from Korea named Rolling Quartz. They make some good tunes.
