Can someone please help me? I might lose my job and be homeless. I got clean from heroin, crack, coke, pills, and alcohol with the help of methadone. Recently I took a random drug test from work, and when the results come back, it’ll show that I’m on methadone. Which I am being prescribed the medication “methadone” from my doctor assigned to me at the clinic I go to. However they’re going to make me get off if it before I can return. The problem is I’ve been addicted to heroin for 12 years, got clean from that, and been on methadone for a year.. meaning I’m not ready to get off methadone l cold turkey.. even if they have me time, I’m not ready to gradually lower my dose to eventually getting off.. plus I won’t have enough time to get off that way since when my test results come back, next week, I’d have to be off by then.. I’ve been feeling depressed because I could lose my job, and become homeless.. I just want to go to work, go home, support my family and stay clean.. I’m 29.. why is this happening to me? I’ve been so good
