Not so fun fact about Professional mode: The reason why the dodge prompts kept appearing and disappearing for milliseconds is because on Professional mode if you press the wrong button you actually fail the prompt/QTE. Some of you might say “You don’t say, that’s common knowledge. Of course if I press the wrong button the prompt/QTE will fail”. And you’d be right, except on all the other difficulties you can easily cheese it by just pressing every button (example a prompt asking to push X, you can just push both X and A). This can be a huge pain especially during the Irving, Jill, and giant Urorboros fight.
@ That’s not really a viable option unless you’re playing single player. These guys and the majority of people that play RE5 don’t because of the awful AI the partner has.

Sheva at least can fight back unlike Ashley (I refer to 4make because og Ashley wasn’t all that bad to escort) but Sheva can still have idiotic AI moments. Plus from a player viewpoint, it’s better to play professional with another human than take your chances with the AI.

You can do the entire game without her screaming for your help. Theres some exceptions when doing no merchant (my now intended way of playing re4 og) but she really doesn’t have much problem when compare to re4r ai
I'm almost 100% sure, this 8 frame prompt wasn't an intended game mechanic. As I remember, those dodge prompts will disappear as soon, as you leave the attack area and you will get hit, with no warning, or that dodge prompt will show up for a really short period of time when you get to the zone again. In this case, Chris propably was in attack range for 8 frames and then gets out of it, because of turret spin which causes his model to move and then, when he leaves the turret aim mode, he gets to the zone again and gets hit
You can actually pull the device off Jill without shooting it, but shooting does like 1500 damage while each button press while mashing only does about 30 each button press
@TheActionAsk that's right, and you don't need to use a high-powered weapon to deal decent damage. I've played with people saving magnums for that part on professional and it was anxiety inducing. One shot and Jill is GONE.
Indeed there are different ways to remove the device, from throwing her to shot + throw. The achievement however needs one to restrain Jill and the other to try ripping it off. About ten shots is instant success.
Tbh, hitting his ear at that range was hella impressive, completely missing the body, however, was not 😂 For reference, at that range with that crappy weapon you can easily expect a 4-5 inch deviation from the target you are shooting at. I don't need to tell you that if you are aiming at center mass, you are still going to hit your target. That means dude had to be aiming at his head because reasons?!?!?
Hey man it wasn’t the shooter it was just that trump was moving so fast that trump moved his head at light speed which is why we didn’t see his body move but in the 0000000.1 percent chance it hit his ear.

They're a little more annoying to get then the base game trophies and achievements. Are there anyone that's online for the versus mode? I discovered 1 person on the switch version last month, blew my mind but was nice to see

This game is really fun but Professional mode is for masochists because why would you want to die just for getting slapped by a guy who has no weapon (not literally), you constantly has to stay point blank close to your partner because you only 2 seconds to revive each other before either one of you die after taking almost any damage
I was beyond broke at the time. This and Ninja Gaiden 2 were basically all I had so yeah. Professional mode and master ninja difficulty were the goal. I still look back at master ninja and wonder wtf they were thinking.

I did it easy with AI partner both first tries, with Jill + Wesker, just side step Weskers melee and focus on where Jill's shooting and focus on knocking her out. Super easy. Solo fight Wesker is easy to make the players bitch. Just stand at 6 and 12 and stun and pummel. You can also use the areas rpg to do massive damage, once he's ready for injection both players stand by him one restrains other spams interact leaving no time for Wesker to retaliate.

Just finished this game for the first time today. I really loved this one. the controls were fucky and painfully at times but I chose to keep action commands on so thats my own fault lmao
The memories of playing this game with my best friend easily makes RE5 my favorite Resident Evil game, I hope they remake this game soon and keep the coop gameplay so my bff and I can play it again lol. (I also blame this game for making me badly attracted to Albert Wesker, especially in the DLC in the mansion. I'm in love with that man.)
I can see why they lock it behind beating any difficulty.. the difference between using infinite guns and the bow or Gatling gun and playing it like a regular play-through is insane. Ive done it since I love the game so much being one of my top 10’s ever. and it was very fun but very frustrating LOL. And the damage and balance gap from re4 too is crazy in re4 pro mode things do hit harder but the difficulty change isn’t there anymore. For example in normal if you die three times in a row in the same area enemies will cut you slack and not be super aggressive and drop you more ammo sometimes too. I guess pro mode is either for very skilled players or just somebody with a good friend :D. Nonetheless I really enjoyed the video, I love seeing cool RUclipsrs play my favorite RE especially in 2024. EDIT: also forgot to mention 13:25 I didn’t actually know this, I guess I learned something new. Thanks
5:00 your supposed to break the stands near the door that gets blown up. There's like 6 or 7 stands and some of the stands have fruits that if you disturb will reveal an item.
The biggest mistake is running past weak enemies since you can kill them with 1 bullet + melee (or with a knife if you are willing to use it) so killing them will increase your ammo count.
Debatable on Professional considering a massive majority of drops are changed to cash… but that cash could be used for weapon upgrades so you’re not necessarily giving bad advice.

I remember doing this in highschool with a random person who just joined my game. The jill and wesker fight was so painful we had to have the other person on standby with a first aid spray in case we messed up the Jill quicktime to remove the device on her since the window was incredibly short

I had to beat Profesh in single player, and Sheva is a pro at catching those one-shot hatchets.... in fact, it was one of her favorite activities, catching hatchets with her face! The second would be her sandbagging me. ...There was also a third one which was to run off and die so far away I couldn't get anywhere near her in time. To do this as a blind playthrough is insane, and how relieved I was when I saw you playing co-op 😂

the game shipped on 30fps, unfortunately playing on higher fps makes the quick times faster and have smaller reaction windows, the higher the fps the worse it is, i learned this on my own professional run same issue for re6 btw
100% Professional mode single player is infuriating especially on Chapter 5-3. I was on PS4 and I thought there was an achievement to get all S-Ranks on all 4 difficulties. So I manage to try and get all S ranks on Amateur, Normal, and Veteran. Then the amount of times I had to restart Professional difficulty because I didnt want to die and lose my ranking. Until I found out that I really didnt need to S rank all difficulties. I just needed to beat Professional mode as my final trophy.
I'm so hyped to see how the heck they'll remake this game. Ain't no way they're gonna be able to turn it into a survival horror like the other remakes. Been talking with my uncle about what they might change or remove and I think the car turret section and all the quicktimes are going to get cut or changed, the quicktimes just being actual cutscenes and the turret probably being removed imo. They're gonna have to do a LOT of changing the whole breaking-into-native-land-and-massacring-them-all I feel. 😅 Those new graphics with Uroburos are gonna be awesome tho, Excella's mutation too?? Can't wait to see that thing!
So crazy tips, you can get ammo from weapons in the store menu when you sell them from your 9-slot inventory, I figured this out after a while and it helped, but is expensive for ammo farming eventually
First of, -rely on the realistic feedback with your guns against enemies (shoot them while running to make the fall, shoot literally anywhere to stun them) Sheva’s ai is great especially in professional, because enemies rarely prioritize her and instead goes for you. So use that to your advantage -shotgun is great for crowd control but im sure everyone knows that -in qte sequence, pause the game right as the prompts appear. In the jill fight, I’d advise you to shoot her device until your ai tells you to stop which should allow you to remove the device without having to worry about the qte. (This is all with no store in mind btw)
Real talk, I honestly loved RE 5. It was bad, I acknowledge that, but I still had a lot of fun with it. It was chaotic and relied a lot on the buddy system, having two players. I always liked the idea of a co-op game where you both split up at multiple points. A game that has you relying on each other, then forces independence on both of you. Although I don't have friends, so I can't play it co-op, it is still my favourite RE game. Part of it is because Chris is just a much cooler Captain America. And I prefer Leon more, but I still love Chris. Plus, Wesker was the best villain the franchise had in my opinion. You got a guy that can dodge bullets and tank missile explosions, of course he's the best
One of my favourite games. Platinumed it back on PS3 at launch and recently on the PS4 version. There was an easy way to do the Jill bit where you just mash a button and pull the device off easily. The only other hard bit was the on rails section, was nails on PRO
I remember when i played professional with a friend of mine, you litelly had to stay back-to-back otherwise any attack puts you on danger and on prefessional that lasts maybe 2s Completting that with AI must be a nightmare. And Wesker has that low kick that instantly kills you on professional, as the time it takes for you to get up is more than enough to end the danger time. so your ally can't heal you
I managed to get past Wesker on Pro because my teammate ran straight at him and kicked the hell out of him with QTEs. Dude did it 3-4 times and Wesker was gone. Then he did the same thing to Jill. I basically stood there and watched the guy solo them both. Turns out you can pull that parasite off of Jill by nailing several QTEs in a row and just shooting the damn thing when she takes enough damage. Then the guy left as the final cutscene played. I was happy, but underwhelmed. I'd been saving up ammo for that encounter and didn't fire a shot.
i tackled professional solo and even with infinite ammo it was hell. i tried co-op with a friend on the x-box 360 but it didn't go well, he couldn't follow the plan. i went solo the rest of the way. i platinum the ps3 and the ps4 versions solo. the ps3 version was my very 1st platinum trophy, the ps4 version was my 67th platinum trophy. to this day this is the only Resident Evil game I've ever platinum. for the weapons i used the S&W M500 magnum, the M3 shotgun, the semiauto sniper, and the infinite rocket launcher in the up, left, right, and down on the d-pad quick select.
In Professional Mode, Scripted Placed Ammo Will NOT Be There. They Will Only Spawn In Causal - Veteran. I Died NEARLY 60 Times By The Stupid El Gigante The Main Focus Is Being In Sync With Each Other, Especially When It Throws The Rock And You Have 3 Hits To Work With Before You Die

i played on pro mode and the hardest part was handling the ai partner. the one part i couldn't get past with ai was the jill boss fight. i made my little brother play as sheva and id tell him exactly what buttons to press and where to move. cant believe i went through all that haha.
As someone who has platinums for RE4&5 on 360… Don’t Co-Op if you wanna love yourself. Your partner has infinite ammo on all difficulties and has more health on all difficulties than a normal player. Absolute congrats for this challenge btw! But for anyone soloing this; you technologically have more hope!
As a long time re player, usually 2-3 is the hardest chapter on professional (if you go the normal route of new game plus and have infinite l hawk and any other guns you want) but in a completely new playthrough i can see how it would be one of the easiest lol
I got the platinum trophy for both PS3 and PS4. The only parts I struggled with on professional were the Ndesu boss fight and Jill’s fight. Man both of those were a pain in the ass..
One of the fun ways I play the game is professional with no treasures. The end of the game is beyond hard From selling your only guns just to re-buy it and use the ammo agian. Killing wesker I had no guns and 500 or less dollars, had to buy a rpg and rod him to finish the game

as a longtime RE5 and speedrun fan... i cringed at 4:05. there's a much easier way. after the radio message with Kirk, once you pass the gate threshold to the public square, it triggers a timer for something like 5-10 minutes before the cutscene plays/level ends. you can avoid fighting and conserve ammo in this section by doing a very... very stupid trick of having both players fence hop the little railing in the first building. you have invincibility frames as you're hopping fences, and enemies will be put into stun if you collide with them as you're hopping. as long as you're careful and time your fence hop just as an enemy does a melee attack, you can complete that entire section without spawning new enemies or wasting ammo. then as soon as the executioner smashes the gate, run, get the skorpion vz61 smg, and then basically run counter-clockwise laps around the map. the executioner can't climb ladders, so each lap you can bait him to locked gate at the end, and then going up the L-building stairs, hopping onto the bus, jumping down, hugging the right wall, and then climbing the first ladder. when things get too crowded, you then jump down the hole in the ceiling. rinse repeat. re5's scales the difficulty with player skill -- the more shots you hit, and more melees you do, the more enemies spawn. you can manipulate the spawnrate by wasting ammo missing intentionally, always skating by with a relatively low inventory.

Ive platinumed this game 7 times, 3 on ps3 2 on ps4 and 2 on switch. I love this game.

I can see why they lock it behind beating any difficulty.. the difference between using infinite guns and the bow or Gatling gun and playing it like a regular play-through is insane. Ive done it since I love the game so much being one of my top 10’s ever. and it was very fun but very frustrating LOL. And the damage and balance gap from re4 too is crazy in re4 pro mode things do hit harder but the difficulty change isn’t there anymore. For example in normal if you die three times in a row in the same area enemies will cut you slack and not be super aggressive and drop you more ammo sometimes too. I guess pro mode is either for very skilled players or just somebody with a good friend :D. Nonetheless I really enjoyed the video, I love seeing cool RUclipsrs play my favorite RE especially in 2024.

5:00 your supposed to break the stands near the door that gets blown up. There's like 6 or 7 stands and some of the stands have fruits that if you disturb will reveal an item.

The biggest mistake is running past weak enemies since you can kill them with 1 bullet + melee (or with a knife if you are willing to use it) so killing them will increase your ammo count.
Debatable on Professional considering a massive majority of drops are changed to cash… but that cash could be used for weapon upgrades so you’re not necessarily giving bad advice.
It just feels so sureal bonkers af to me seeing new faces just get so wow'd or intimidated by this after i've been playing this game since OG release date XD.

I had to beat Profesh in single player, and Sheva is a pro at catching those one-shot hatchets.... in fact, it was one of her favorite activities, catching hatchets with her face! The second would be her sandbagging me. ...There was also a third one which was to run off and die so far away I couldn't get anywhere near her in time.
To do this as a blind playthrough is insane, and how relieved I was when I saw you playing co-op 😂

the game shipped on 30fps, unfortunately playing on higher fps makes the quick times faster and have smaller reaction windows, the higher the fps the worse it is, i learned this on my own professional run

100% Professional mode single player is infuriating especially on Chapter 5-3. I was on PS4 and I thought there was an achievement to get all S-Ranks on all 4 difficulties. So I manage to try and get all S ranks on Amateur, Normal, and Veteran. Then the amount of times I had to restart Professional difficulty because I didnt want to die and lose my ranking. Until I found out that I really didnt need to S rank all difficulties. I just needed to beat Professional mode as my final trophy.

I'm so hyped to see how the heck they'll remake this game. Ain't no way they're gonna be able to turn it into a survival horror like the other remakes. Been talking with my uncle about what they might change or remove and I think the car turret section and all the quicktimes are going to get cut or changed, the quicktimes just being actual cutscenes and the turret probably being removed imo. They're gonna have to do a LOT of changing the whole breaking-into-native-land-and-massacring-them-all I feel. 😅

So crazy tips, you can get ammo from weapons in the store menu when you sell them from your 9-slot inventory, I figured this out after a while and it helped, but is expensive for ammo farming eventually
First of,
-rely on the realistic feedback with your guns against enemies (shoot them while running to make the fall, shoot literally anywhere to stun them)
Sheva’s ai is great especially in professional, because enemies rarely prioritize her and instead goes for you. So use that to your advantage
-shotgun is great for crowd control but im sure everyone knows that
-in qte sequence, pause the game right as the prompts appear. In the jill fight, I’d advise you to shoot her device until your ai tells you to stop which should allow you to remove the device without having to worry about the qte.
(This is all with no store in mind btw)

Real talk, I honestly loved RE 5.
It was bad, I acknowledge that, but I still had a lot of fun with it. It was chaotic and relied a lot on the buddy system, having two players.
I always liked the idea of a co-op game where you both split up at multiple points. A game that has you relying on each other, then forces independence on both of you.
Although I don't have friends, so I can't play it co-op, it is still my favourite RE game. Part of it is because Chris is just a much cooler Captain America.
And I prefer Leon more, but I still love Chris.
Plus, Wesker was the best villain the franchise had in my opinion.

One of my favourite games. Platinumed it back on PS3 at launch and recently on the PS4 version. There was an easy way to do the Jill bit where you just mash a button and pull the device off easily. The only other hard bit was the on rails section, was nails on PRO

I remember when i played professional with a friend of mine, you litelly had to stay back-to-back otherwise any attack puts you on danger and on prefessional that lasts maybe 2s
Completting that with AI must be a nightmare.
And Wesker has that low kick that instantly kills you on professional, as the time it takes for you to get up is more than enough to end the danger time. so your ally can't heal you
I managed to get past Wesker on Pro because my teammate ran straight at him and kicked the hell out of him with QTEs. Dude did it 3-4 times and Wesker was gone. Then he did the same thing to Jill. I basically stood there and watched the guy solo them both. Turns out you can pull that parasite off of Jill by nailing several QTEs in a row and just shooting the damn thing when she takes enough damage. Then the guy left as the final cutscene played. I was happy, but underwhelmed. I'd been saving up ammo for that encounter and didn't fire a shot.

i tackled professional solo and even with infinite ammo it was hell. i tried co-op with a friend on the x-box 360 but it didn't go well, he couldn't follow the plan. i went solo the rest of the way. i platinum the ps3 and the ps4 versions solo. the ps3 version was my very 1st platinum trophy, the ps4 version was my 67th platinum trophy. to this day this is the only Resident Evil game I've ever platinum. for the weapons i used the S&W M500 magnum, the M3 shotgun, the semiauto sniper, and the infinite rocket launcher in the up, left, right, and down on the d-pad quick select.

i played on pro mode and the hardest part was handling the ai partner. the one part i couldn't get past with ai was the jill boss fight. i made my little brother play as sheva and id tell him exactly what buttons to press and where to move. cant believe i went through all that haha.
The hardest part was Proffesional fight with Wesker/Jil, sole Jill or Wesker on the ship.
Took my brother and me forever to beat professional. I think we died over 70 times on the Wesker/Jill fight

Don’t Co-Op if you wanna love yourself. Your partner has infinite ammo on all difficulties and has more health on all difficulties than a normal player.

As a long time re player, usually 2-3 is the hardest chapter on professional (if you go the normal route of new game plus and have infinite l hawk and any other guns you want) but in a completely new playthrough i can see how it would be one of the easiest lol

I got the platinum trophy for both PS3 and PS4. The only parts I struggled with on professional were the Ndesu boss fight and Jill’s fight. Man both of those were a pain in the ass..

Nowhere near that hard. I've done Professional on 360, ps3 and 4, solo everytime. Didn't struggle nearly as much as doing Akuma on ps3 and 4.
One of the fun ways I play the game is professional with no treasures. The end of the game is beyond hard

as a longtime RE5 and speedrun fan... i cringed at 4:05. there's a much easier way.
after the radio message with Kirk, once you pass the gate threshold to the public square, it triggers a timer for something like 5-10 minutes before the cutscene plays/level ends. you can avoid fighting and conserve ammo in this section by doing a very... very stupid trick of having both players fence hop the little railing in the first building. you have invincibility frames as you're hopping fences, and enemies will be put into stun if you collide with them as you're hopping.
as long as you're careful and time your fence hop just as an enemy does a melee attack, you can complete that entire section without spawning new enemies or wasting ammo. then as soon as the executioner smashes the gate, run, get the skorpion vz61 smg, and then basically run counter-clockwise laps around the map. the executioner can't climb ladders, so each lap you can bait him to locked gate at the end, and then going up the L-building stairs, hopping onto the bus, jumping down, hugging the right wall, and then climbing the first ladder. when things get too crowded, you then jump down the hole in the ceiling. rinse repeat.
re5's scales the difficulty with player skill -- the more shots you hit, and more melees you do, the more enemies spawn. you can manipulate the spawnrate by wasting ammo missing intentionally, always skating by with a relatively low inventory.
