She's great and very informative! Her list of Chinese food are all my faves! I could use a warm bowl of rice porridge in this cold weather!

Ditto. She must be an honorary member of the local restaurant mafia to have all that insider knowledge. That crispy skin pork looks delicious beyond words - no wonder she had to cut away. Looking at that close up shot makes me want to devour the entire leg section.

Juk is actually the word and pronounciation for porridge in Korean. I believe Congee is the Chinese version (although don't hold a bullet to my head, I'm not Chinese - I'm Korean). I like this lady, she's not all talk. Not only does she have a respectable palette for food, she's great at presenting/hosting.

Wow there's actually meat in the pork bun. Where I live I have to get a loop to find the meat. So stingy in Holland.

I m Chinese and congee is the english word for chinese porridge. The chinese transcription/pronounciation is also juk.

    Hey guys!
The juk is the saying from Cantonese and also Maderin! It is just the same pronunciation.

Lol she said the juk was with pork and egg than she said "you can really taste the chicken" lol but anyway. I love SF Chinatown! I remember when I would visit my mom I would walk 20+ blocks just to go to Chinatown! Although I was only 10 then so I didn't know much about the food there. I would always order kung pow chicken wherever I went lol

Filipino lechon actually has more natural and balanced flavor than Chinese version. the minimal ingredients allows the natural flavor of the pork to speak for itself. don't get me wrong I like the Chinese version, I have eaten it in the past, but it can be a bit dry and the meat can get overwhelmed by all the seasonings unless it's served hot or reheated

I saw this video and went to gourmet delight. I tried their pork. Not even that great. There were flies flying around the room. And it smelled awful. I don't recommend this place.
