What do you guys think of Cricket's cell phone plans? I actually had them in 11th and 12th grade, and I was in a group with 4 random people I met on the internet 😂
Honestly, great! I sent $20 via PayPal each month to pay for my share of the bill. I ended up saving $15/month on the plan by being in a group discount. 👍🏻
If you can, spend $10 more for visible. It's only one plan. An unlimited plan on Verizon's network only for $40. You can bring your phone or buy one. Also, if you want to spend $25 use Party Pay. I'm pretty sure this RUclipsr has a party so yeah. Also, I'm absolutely late but oh well.
I’ll stick with visible. Truly unlimited data with no capped speeds. And truly unlimited Hotspot data at 5 mbps capped. For only $40 a month. And HD streaming

Dont trust cricket wireless! They charged me for a non existent 3rd line for years and wont reimburse me despite there not even being a phone connected to the line. I spent hours with customer service and they eventually just started hanging up and ignoring my calls! Yes, ignoring them! Ill wait on hold and as soon as it connects they disconnect immediately. This happened 4 times in a row after being hung up on multiple times. Do not use cricket! They charged me more than i would have paid with any other carrier, even verizon, and my service has always been somewhat bad and has gotten muuuch worse recently despite’s living in mesa, which is supposed to be one of cricket’s best areas.... they charged me 102-108$ per month for 2 lines and a hotspot for 2 years. The reason it was so expensive was because they were charging me for an entirely fictional (3rd) phone line, also for 2 roughly years, and refuse to even give me store credit for the money they stole! Theres no excuse for their business practices. Look them up on better business bureau and see for yourself. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Literally anywhere else is better than cricket! Ps: if anyone from cricket is reading this, i can waste a WHOLE lot of your paid customer service hours, or you can do the right thing and give me what you stole! I can promise you that if people knew how bad your customer service really was, you’d lose a hell of a lot more money that what you owe me! Just be an honest company for god sakes! Your customer service reps even knew it was wrong!
I have the unlimited everything and I own the Moto Supra 7. Since I have only had it a week, it seems to work fine. I also have a work phone with Metro $30 plan and I have my own tablet with Metro for $15 a month. I had to mix it up to accommodate my needs.

SizzTv since cricket runs on AT&T towers , AT&T customers are prioritized over cricket customers and than some AT&T plans offer even more prioritization over other AT&T plans which essentially means they prioritize you to get the best speeds when the network is congested.
Except wificalling and volte will not work on unlocked android devices because the dont support unlocked android devices unless it's a Google pixel or iPhone.. so cricket wireless is a no go for me, they only have full support for cricket branded phones and sum at&t branded phones.. I always buy factory unlocked phones
Obviously, your target audience is competent and interested enough to find the best online deal, but I have to disagree about the $30 plan not being worth it: My mother-in-law isn't techy at all, but we keep her on that alone since it allows her to get help with a B&M store and have a relatively low bill without having an online-only MVNO; it's definitely not the best value but is nice for her needs. It also allows me to port-in some dummy numbers to get her a cheap new phone (~$10 for Moto G7 Power, recently). My sister is also on the $30 plan, and while she's techy enough to use PureTalk or others, I think she feels more comfortable with a provider with physical locations (though she did use Page Plus in the past). Lastly, we have my wife on the $300/year AT&T Prepaid plan, which is great, but I'm surprised how bad the AT&T Prepaid website is (super barebones) and disappointed they don't have a chat feature. I suppose you could go into the store (post-covid), but I can see some benefits of Cricket over AT&T Prepaid. On the other hand, AT&T Prepaid has a very slightly better Wifi-Calling and VoLTE list than Cricket: Cricket only allowing iPhones and Cricket-branded android phones (lame). I'm able to get Wifi Calling and VoLTE on an unlocked LG v35 and Pixel 3a XL on AT&T Prepaid and Wing Wireless. Keep up the helpful videos!

Im on a cricket group right now! Nothing beats unlimited more for $32.50/month. Also if you have a samsung phone and flash the cricket rom onto it (the s8 and up that are the u models, not the u1 models do this automatically) will get wifi calling
Cricket More had everything I wanted (family plan) except....no volte or wifi calling I'm using an ATT Note 9...so I switched to Wing unlimited (even with the 30GB hard stop) where volte and wificallig works. Family still with cricket and theirs works. We'll test it out for a while. Or should I switch back 🤔 Decisions.

We have the 4lines/$100 for our family. It's really good! The only thing that would be an issue is that it's capped at 3mbps. Although I do speed tests and get more than that many times and I play games online, watch RUclips on the go, Snapchat and Instagram just fine. I guess it depends on where u live and how fast you want things. But for us it's fine

I'm a 5GB $35 Cricket customer and they sent me a text that said I can go into a Cricket store and upgrade to the Unlimited More plan for just $45 a month. I've been debating about doing that or trying the $40 Visible unlimited plan.
What a waste. They gave everyone 20gb for the Corona relief. Not everyone uses even 2 gigs... Now my bill is due, and I have over 20 gigs that will go to waste.
It means when the network is busy (when there are a lot of people connected to a cell tower all using their phones at once) your data speeds will be slower than the data speeds of other users who are not deprioritized.

@Ray all day long.. I switched to At&t prepaid on the same network with cricket, and the issue is non existent. I was with cricket for 2 months. I tried 3 iPhones with cricket, and the same issue persisted.
@Ray not high traffic. Everything else data wise worked fine besides iMessage. I spoke with the store reps, they told that’s jus how cricket is, it does that with iMessage. Hopefully it works for you.

For the hotspot you need to buy a phone inside the store or have an iPhone you can't buy an unlocked phone from other stores for the hotspot witch sucks since I can no longer use it on my samsung not 10

Hi, I don’t know if you ever got an answer, but if you would like to switch your plan, you will only be charged the difference between the plans. You have the option of changing your plan immediately (and being charged) or effective next billing cycle.
It worked fine when I had my factory unlocked note9 on cricket, except the don't support volte or wifi calling on unlocked android devices.. I actually had unlimited hotspot data when using my unlocked tmobile note4. I switched to metro and everything works and my speeds are consistently 150mbps download and 50mbps upload any time of day, even during this virus. I stream 1080-1440p no issues and haven't really noticed any congestion in my area
The only plan that may be better is the AT&T Prepaid Unlimited Plus plan. It’s $50 right now with a promo. 22GB priority. 10GB hotspot. And the big feature? 4K video streaming. Cricket’s plan is limited to 480p video (1.5Mbps) right now.
You need to mention the terrible fact that you won't even be allowed to purchase hotspot (or use the alloted hotspot) if you aren't using a phone on their white list - basically any iPhone and then only the Androids that they sell. I'm on cricket core (with four others) and was about to purchase hotspot for when my kids had to come home for schooling due to C19 and found out I couldn't even buy it because my android isn't on their list 😠😠 Its got me looking for another carrier... So salty about that. No reason at all to not allow a customer to purchase a feature that their phone is perfectly capable of doing 😒

When the network is busy in your area (cell tower your connected to at the time) your speed will be slowed down. People on post paid plans have higher priority (Verizon, T Mobile, At&t) over people on (Boost Mobile, Cricket, Visible, etc).

Cricket wireless doesn’t play well with iMessage. There’s a lot of unnecessary throttling.
@Ray you don’t need speed for iMessage at all. But when iMessages are taking 5 to 7 minutes to send, then there something is wrong.

Stay with AT&T Elite plan. Cricket is deprioritized and they don't have roaming.

For the hotspot you need to buy a phone inside the store or have an iPhone you can't buy an unlocked phone from other stores for the hotspot witch sucks since I can no longer use it on my samsung not 10

That seems weird to me. I used Cricket myself for a couple of years in high school on my iPhone 5, and I never had problems with iMessage.

Yes but do yourself a favor and pay $5 more for 10 gigs. After you run out of the 2 gigs you are throttled to snail speeds of 2g

Hi, I don’t know if you ever got an answer, but if you would like to switch your plan, you will only be charged the difference between the plans. You have the option of changing your plan immediately (and being charged) or effective next billing cycle.

Cricket hotspot is only for limited devices and my note 9 is not supported device for hotspot
It worked fine when I had my factory unlocked note9 on cricket, except the don't support volte or wifi calling on unlocked android devices.. I actually had unlimited hotspot data when using my unlocked tmobile note4. I switched to metro and everything works and my speeds are consistently 150mbps download and 50mbps upload any time of day, even during this virus. I stream 1080-1440p no issues and haven't really noticed any congestion in my area

Yes, that’s correct. $55 with auto pay. Taxes and fees included. It’s awesome.
The only plan that may be better is the AT&T Prepaid Unlimited Plus plan. It’s $50 right now with a promo. 22GB priority. 10GB hotspot. And the big feature? 4K video streaming. Cricket’s plan is limited to 480p video (1.5Mbps) right now.

You need to mention the terrible fact that you won't even be allowed to purchase hotspot (or use the alloted hotspot) if you aren't using a phone on their white list - basically any iPhone and then only the Androids that they sell. I'm on cricket core (with four others) and was about to purchase hotspot for when my kids had to come home for schooling due to C19 and found out I couldn't even buy it because my android isn't on their list 😠😠 Its got me looking for another carrier... So salty about that. No reason at all to not allow a customer to purchase a feature that their phone is perfectly capable of doing 😒

Your speeds are SLOW
When the network is busy in your area (cell tower your connected to at the time) your speed will be slowed down. People on post paid plans have higher priority (Verizon, T Mobile, At&t) over people on (Boost Mobile, Cricket, Visible, etc).
