I love visible+. I had boost mobile, but they took the cell tower down so I had to switch to something. I'm glad I picked visible. Cheaper and faster than boost ever was. Plus having unlimited hotspot is a bonus.
I've used visible for a couple of years now. I spend about 50% of my time working remotely from an off-grid cabin in the woods with my only form of internet access being my visible hotspot. I use about 30 - 60 gigs per month. Zero complaints. Hard to believe I'm only paying $25.
It’s only been 2 days, but Visible+ has been an absolute game changer for me. After years I’ve being on T-Mobile’s network, (I’m in a great T-Mobile market btw). I’ve learned a few things, T-Mobile needs to still build out more in rural parts of southwest Michigan, and while T-Mobile has faster data speeds, Verizon’s LTE and UW (CBand) is robustly built out here too.
Our family has been on the legacy Visible Unlimited plan for the past 2-3 years. No complaints or problems. In early Feb of 2023 I switched to the new Visible plan. The transition went smoothly and took perhaps 15 minutes. I can’t say that I have noticed a dramatic change from the old plan but I continue to have no complaints.

I just started using Visible and seems like a good service, did have some hiccups with activation but it was partly my fault. The service and coverage seem to be a lot more stable here in NYC compared to Mint.
I have never been able to call Japan from my phone and have chatted endlessly trying to remedy it. Doesnt work. Could you try calling. Japan and see if it works. Call a hotel or something to test it? Also I cannot receive calls from Japan. 😢😢😢😢
You definitely get what you pay for. I got it for the no data cap issue. The speed is pretty....average at best. It is rare for me to play any video over 480p without significantly buffering times. The speed varies wildly throughout the day with no real logic. The hotspot is very hot and miss. Honestly I feel like Verizon is planning on killing it off by making it worse and worse
I been running on visible for a year and I am pretty happy with it, It gives me reliable service for my work and I can even hook the hot spot to play computer game at a low rate but payable none the less. I like the unlimited hot spot feature because I can run 2 or more phones on a single hot spot. Obviously there is nothing premium about it but it's literally half the price than any other service with everything unlimited. The only way you can beat this deal is if you're willing to pony the 80 bucks the big stores ask for a single line
To be honest I had issues with making calls and sending messages through standard text, because I had an initially thought that by inserting my new SIM card that there wouldn't be any hiccups, but turns out I had to reactivate my service
Thank you for making this video, Stetson! Your videos are what prompted me to get Visible in the first place, and I even joined your visible party. I upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro max today and couldn't figure out why I didn't have data. After an hour of waiting in the queue, it turns out it's because the old unlimited plan and party pay aren't available on new devices. I had no clue that there were new plans that came out, so I came to your channel to see if I could get some info on the new plans and you did not disappoint! Thank you so much for all of your great videos and plan comparisons!
Another excellent job explaining the new Visible plans and features. Keep up the great work! I currently have the old Visible plan running on my new Pixel 6a with e-sim for all data usage and kept my original phone number with Xfinity Mobile in the physical sim slot on the same phone. I use it for all calls and texting. Been working great.
Haha, nice. I was doing the same thing on my pixel 6a. 👏 I started off with $30 visible, but found depriotization too frustrating in my area so I upgraded to visible plus. The process was a little glitchy like in the video, but worked fine after turning airplane mode on and off a couple times. I decided to check out t-mobile in my area, so now I'm on their 3 month trial right now.
@@huangnator If you are over 55 years old, try the TMobile Magenta 55plus plan, I would stayed with it, except the reception in my office wasn’t that good
I've been testing the US Mobile $50 plan Vs. Visible+ (new $45 Plan) in Seattle and I'm getting mixed results. I get similar speeds and priority on both plans when I'm in range of band NR77 Ultra Wideband but when I'm outside that coverage area, the US Mobile appears to be deprioritized on Nationwide 5G & LTE while Visible+ maintains priority data on these bands. I also notice that on my Galaxy S21, the US Mobile SIM blocks access to the engineering screen (*#0011#), removing my ability to view what band the phone has selected. This further raises my suspicion that LTE service on US Mobile does not get premium data. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
@@Bryan-Hensley Sorry, I'm referring to the US Mobile $45 plan where taxes fees are extra. Here in WA, that comes to $50. The Visible+ $45 plan includes the taxes & fees.
@@Bryan-Hensley I just double checked and I don't see a "$50 taxes included plan" on the US Mobile site. If that's what Stetson was talking about, I don't think I can get it. The best that was offered to me was the $45 Plus taxes and fees plan which equals $50.. I'm guessing that's the best offered to anyone else as well.
Visible had too many issues: phone not ringing, late txt, and the worst, dropped calls. US Mobile data speeds are inconsistent. You may get 90 - 220Mbps or .4 - 7Mbps in the same geographical area, two streets away. However, to their credit never a drop call. Better than paying Vzw $90/ month + taxes
One of the big disadvantage of USM is the hard 100 GB limit. Say you make a mistake and sync 100 GB of photos, video and streaming. Your service becomes unusable. Could be a disaster if you are traveling. Makes one monitor usage.
I currently am on Mint mobile in my paid trial period but too many places my 4G LTE drops to 2G if I get any service at all. This is why I am considering Visible. This video is three weeks old now so likely the kinks has been worked out, even if it has not been a full month.
@@johnny-becker There may be slow down after 50GB but for me as a heavy user, always outside with video and audio streaming plus gps 12 hours a day I never exceed 50GB. You can always try for a month, no contract no hidden fees and see if it works for you. For me the alternative from Verizon cost $80 plus fees and taxes. So it’s visible+ for me. Edit: Other providers usually always slow down too unless maybe if you go for the most expensive plan. You may need to read the fine prints of those other providers. I don’t think it will be lower than 5mbps.
I had a disastrous time trying to port my Verizon phone to Visible. Mint took seconds to correct the issue when I ported to them. I am constantly tempted to switch to visible to get the Apple Watch connected and because of the network. But the clunky visible app and terrible service scares me. You can use both Mint and Visible on an IPhone 12 simultaneously if one of the lines is not an esim. So my recommendation would be to get both when you need both and rely on Mint when you need one.
I've given Visible TWO chances, and both times regretted it. First time, 2 years ago, every time I was speaking with a woman it sounded like someone was pressing numbers like they were dialing, apparently the pitch of a woman's voice was triggering some kind of odd translation into dialing tones. Second time, just a month ago, had numerous issues with missed texts, like I wouldn't get a text for days, but when I restarted my phone they all came in at the same time. Visible only got 2 chances with me. I switched to Mint, and have ZERO complaints with them.
You can most likely use both when you need Verizon’s network or you need unlimited data by buying a visible phone number for a month. It may be beneficial if you choose to buy a cheaper Mint Plan if you are on Wi-Fi 90% of the time.
@@nursssss775 My mint plan was 10gb - for 12 months. This was sufficient for an average day to day use. The draw-back is that if I had to port my phone number, I’d loose the minutes I locked in at the lower rate. So you could always try a 3 month plan to see what works for you and then lock it in for a year. As a back up, you can buy a separate phone number on visible for the unlimited data - the months you need it. I think I will go that route this time. Protect my number with a cheap - stable mint plan and pay extra with visible when I go on vacation.
@@thomasreedy4751 Why would I want to try Visible again, when I had TWO horrible experiences with that company? Not gonna happen. I use WiFi only at home, the rest of the time I'm out and about and generally have perfect service with Mint, including 5G service that blows Verizon's service out of the water. (T-Mobile has gotten a LOT better in the past few years, our entire region is blanketed with 5G service, whereas the CLOSEST 5G service with Verizon or Visible is 90 miles away.) There is absolutely NO valid reason for me to ever try Visible, or even Verizon, again. Should I need a different service, I'd rather use AT&T with my dual SIM phone, keep my Mint service active and use the AT&T as a secondary line. Simply put, Visible and Verizon kinda suck.

And when I have visible before I had no coverage and that was bad for me I was still with Verizon post paid and I got visible e sim and was going to try it again. So I set it up online and within 30 minutes I had my account activated and working with no major issues at all I then went and drove through those areas that I would be roaming and I still had full coverage I am on the visible plus plan though They did concern me about the statement about that. 2G but I am on roaming towers in some areas and I still get full LTE spades so that's just for you guys to know my experience
Switched over to Visible+ from the legacy plan for the priority. Also have you thought about doing a refresh of your cheapest plans videos from 2 years ago? I'm actually looking to turn a spare phone into an emergency phone with it's own number and would like to see current low data plans.
I live in Kentucky and tested the visible new plan in those extended network areas the speeds are the same on Verizon postpaid and Visible and on the regional carrier on LTE and there almost the same speeds. Speeds averaged between 10 to 50 Mb.
I think the Visible Plus would work for us while camping, so 4-5 months of the year. We have Spectrum that uses also Verizon and the coverage is good. But would like to use it in addition to Spectrum only as a hotspot with a cellular router, the problem is to make sure the router and Visible SIM card are compatible.

I just ported my number to Visible for AT&T post-paid. It was not smooth at all. I started on Friday around 6 pm and it took until Monday (9/13/22) at 5 pm before it was working. I will say that customer service was helpful and kept me informed by email. I'm just glad I did lose my number. I've had it for 18 years. Everything seems to work as it should.
I ported my number yesterday but to far it was from total wireless to visible +. Took maybe 20 minutes only because I had to enter the billing zip code again and put in the transfer pin
I signed up for Visible +. Porting my number took several days, until finally a Visible assistant suggested that I call my cell provider and request that they grant the phone number porting. Once this occurred, the process was completed pretty quickly. The second number that I ported to Visible took only 20 minutes because I called my cell carrier right away, to approve the porting.
Also be aware of switching to the visible+ may make your device incompatible. I was on the original discounted plan with party pay and switched to the visible+ plan and made my Verizon GSM unlock Samsung Galaxy s20 FE unusable. Call, text and date not working. Did all the necessary troubleshooting (Sim removal and insertion, network reset and factory reset) and the device still didn't work. Pop in my brother's sim card that's on the party pay and it work. Reinstalled the visible+ and again it didn't work. But I did learn that an GSM unlock T-mobile Oneplus 9 Pro will work on visible and would allow all bands work including the mmwave.
@@robertf6523 The thing is Visible only uses the LTE and the 5G network It does not use any 3G network. Only certain band frequencies work on Visible. You can have a phone that receives only two frequency bands that Visible is using and the phone will work but how good depends on how close you are to that tower. The best thing to do is get you a phone that receives all of the band frequencies that Visible is using. Some the outer Verizon phones only got those frequencies for 4G and 3G. You need to throw those phones in the garbage can. iPhones 10 up works good most Motorola phones work not all of them. There's a few Samsung phones. People have had problems with Google. Pixel 6 works great with visible. I used to know which band frequencies that Visible is using but I no longer have that information and I don't feel like looking it up. But if you are thinking about buying you a phone to use on Visible, you can buy one from Best buy unlock, but you need to make sure that it is capable of receiving all of the band frequencies that Visible uses not just one or two.
@@llengford verizon has never been GSM. It's CDMA. Or was CDMA until 3g was shut down. & what even are you on about with that two bands stuff lol. I can think of 7 bands that are available around here (only because there's at least one tower equipped with 'em).
As of May 2023, the unlimited premium+ plan is on sale for $35! I just switched yesterday, 5/25, and had no issues using eSIM with my iPhone. I switched from Verizon.
I've noticed my ping has been fluctuating. Sometimes it'll be at 110-150 like it was before, but if I reboot my phone it'll periodically drop down to 50-65 for a day, then jump back. Have you noticed these fluctuations? I'm also curious how I can request or upgrade to a 5g sim like you mentioned. I currently use a pixel 4a 4g phone and when I go into the visible app and explore plans, it's saying your phone is not compatible with our new network, but all is not lost..??
I just got back from a Alaska cruise that left Vancouver BC. Mint was working after I spent $25 in international funds. I went through that $25 in about 5 hours with little use. No streaming! The visible phone was useless. When we arrived in Alaska, the visible phone worked here and there. The Mint phone was out of service every place I tried. I'll be leaving Mint at the end of this 3 month period. Either visible+ or US Mobile.
I still pay 5 dollars a month with visible. Going on 3 years. 1 year plan is like 1 month with my old metro plan. Party pay plus sharing referral code. You can't beat that.
I just upgraded to the + from regular because I went I kept buffering with the reg one so I want to see if theirs a difference if I get the same I’ll switch to mint or something
I just signed up in early November and had a hard time getting activated. The bad was waiting for hours on the support chat. Not too bad as I could keep working while in line. The good was that the agent was able to fix the activation in about 10 minutes. Since then it has been great.
I think so, too. I got their service a backup to my current service and for the hotspot. I’m not looking forward to being forced into a new plan and possibly getting a new device.

But...if you Upgrade to Visible Plus $45 a Month...then it goes up to 600+mps...even then it takes several seconds to connect to websites where as Verizon its Instant !
Today as I'm writing this comment, visible now has 2f authentication and I had no problem activating the plan on my phone. I have love the service so far for my first month and feels like I have a less of a delay trying to watch and use the internet than my att service which at times doesnt even work at times.

I constantly had my calls dropped and data was sooo slow. I left Visible and tried them a year later with the same results. I use Metro, $40 tax included with unlimited premium data. I even have home internet with them.
While Visible's new plans use the same network core as Verizon for data and internet, it does not use the same voice core for calls. This is also why Visible's voicemail system and error recordings are different than Verizon's, and your calls on Visible are a lower priority on the network than calls of other Verizon customers which means a higher chance of dropped and failed calls
Hi there, hows visible now? I have never heard of them but there was an offer through my job, Ive had straight talk for a long time but willing to switch to something new, straight talk was $45 plus tax, but doesn't include calls to Mexico or Canada.

I got a promotional price for 35 a month for visible plus, I really don’t think there is a better offer out there by anyone.
I use the Visible as a hotspot to upload large files to RUclips when I’m traveling. But upload speeds are always abysmal. Is there any provider that is substantially better with upload hotspots?? Thanks!!
US Mobile will have faster upload speeds, but you’ll be limited to only 50GB of hotspot data. That’s plenty for most people, but I’m unsure how much you will need for your use case.

Question! Is there any difference in SIGNAL STRENGTH on visible plus vs normal? I like the price. Mainly considering them because they allow me to use my apple watch on their plan. ( mint doesn't ) If the signal strength is the same just lower speeds since I'm capped I'm ok with that But I don't want to give up signal reliability at cost. Is this the case?

THIS is the "gotcha" I've experienced when switching from AT&T to Visible. The signal strength in my area (which is a VERY strong Verizon area) is spotty at best. Just driving from my place to somewhere 5 minutes away, I'll completely drop signal and it won't come back until I cycle airplane mode. Dropped and missed calls aplenty. Looks like the new plans have some domestic roaming in the rocky mt areas, but not all that post paid does. My post paid roams on both att and usc in trout lake Washington, new visible still a paperweight
I have a question concerning the old party plan and the new $30 plan. On the party (cloud) plan, roaming was not available. So if you were not in Verizons coverage area, then you had no coverage. Verizon plans do have roaming and therefore do have coverage. Is there roaming with the $30 plan? If not, is there roaming with the $45 plan?
Normally when your on a mvno you are limited to that company’s native networks only. Or very little text/talk only. I know some mvnos used to do 60 mins a month of roaming
They need to fix their eSim issues first. Twice I ran into issues where I could t get the download and was told it would be days before it would be fixed. No service while this is going on. Switched to Metro which has a nice eSim management capability in the app and on the website that doesn’t require customer service.

I'm thinking of switching to visible. Is video decent on the basic plan?
@@daakrolb I've been on it 2 to 3 years. I ran a RUclips channel with it. It was way better than 55 month Verizon tower straight talk. I moved from at the time. Way faster. Anyway it is area dependent. If you have towers near you and not many on Verizon you will have the fastest speeds.
I just started using Visible and seems like a good service, did have some hiccups with activation but it was partly my fault. The service and coverage seem to be a lot more stable here in NYC compared to Mint.
Best visible review on RUclips. Thank you for explaining everything so clearly
US Mobile allows multiple lines on one account unlike Visible. That’s huge IMO.
But unfortunately doesn’t support Apple Watch. If they did I’d switch instantly.
Leaving US Mobile after 52 months. After data throttle down to 400kbps. Took the hotspot too.

Sounds like a great combination, Robert!
Haha, nice. I was doing the same thing on my pixel 6a. 👏
I started off with $30 visible, but found depriotization too frustrating in my area so I upgraded to visible plus. The process was a little glitchy like in the video, but worked fine after turning airplane mode on and off a couple times.
I decided to check out t-mobile in my area, so now I'm on their 3 month trial right now.

Switched from ATT to Visible today! Porting my number was no problem at all and took less than 10 minutes to complete!
How do you port a number? Do you do it or does the carrier you switch over to do it?
Are you happy with the switch? I’m currently in AT&T prepaid and considering Visible.
I have the US mobile unlimited premium plan in the Bay Area and I have priority data on LTE.
I don't see a $50 plan.
@@Bryan-Hensley Sorry, I'm referring to the US Mobile $45 plan where taxes fees are extra. Here in WA, that comes to $50.
The Visible+ $45 plan includes the taxes & fees.
@@bobf.7238 Yeah but he's talking about the $50 taxes included plan on this video. I assumed you were too.
US mobile has the same issues too, they shun you if you do have issues and there are lot of stans/employees downvoting their issues
I currently am on Mint mobile in my paid trial period but too many places my 4G LTE drops to 2G if I get any service at all. This is why I am considering Visible. This video is three weeks old now so likely the kinks has been worked out, even if it has not been a full month.
Yeah I’ve switch from T mobile which is the network mint is using. Zero regret, amazing coverage, amazing price.
@@ctgaming168 Awesome but my one major question is... is there a data cap where data will go lower than 5GBPS if too much data is used?
@@johnny-becker There may be slow down after 50GB but for me as a heavy user, always outside with video and audio streaming plus gps 12 hours a day I never exceed 50GB. You can always try for a month, no contract no hidden fees and see if it works for you. For me the alternative from Verizon cost $80 plus fees and taxes. So it’s visible+ for me.
Edit: Other providers usually always slow down too unless maybe if you go for the most expensive plan. You may need to read the fine prints of those other providers. I don’t think it will be lower than 5mbps.
Same I’m on mint mobile & I get no service in some areas while on the road visible is essentially Verizon whole network 😅
What a minute, boost mobile now is on AT&T Network?
I've given Visible TWO chances, and both times regretted it. First time, 2 years ago, every time I was speaking with a woman it sounded like someone was pressing numbers like they were dialing, apparently the pitch of a woman's voice was triggering some kind of odd translation into dialing tones. Second time, just a month ago, had numerous issues with missed texts, like I wouldn't get a text for days, but when I restarted my phone they all came in at the same time. Visible only got 2 chances with me. I switched to Mint, and have ZERO complaints with them.
Which plan do you have with mint?
You can most likely use both when you need Verizon’s network or you need unlimited data by buying a visible phone number for a month.
It may be beneficial if you choose to buy a cheaper Mint Plan if you are on Wi-Fi 90% of the time.
@@nursssss775
My mint plan was 10gb - for 12 months.

Stories like yours abound on the visible reddit.
Can you make an updated comparison of visible vs us mobile ? sice us mobile updated their plans
Stetson could you do a review of the cricket more plan?
Hope you get it figured out....👍🇺🇲
'cept verizon isn't GSM
While Visible's new plans use the same network core as Verizon for data and internet, it does not use the same voice core for calls.
