I remember being at a packed NBA basketball game and still hit 1,000 on the upload not making this up. Yes this year I tested it last month at the game. My experience with visible has been awful. Extremely slow, data speeds, text, not going through. And customer support that takes forever. After two weeks, I wanted to port my number out and visible is making it extremely difficult. They keep coming up with excuses why they cannot do that. Had to file a complaint with the FCC yesterday, and now they are finally working on it. I would avoid this company, even as cheap as they are.

    I just had to ditch visible for botching my upgrade. Been a loyal customer on the legacy plan for a long time. Attempted to upgrade to visible + and it was just a nightmare. Their chat support is awful, redirected so many times and never seeing a resolution. Then when I finally get somebody who probably has the leverage to make it work, they just reply we fixed it you now need to reboot your device and all will be well. It never was. Was without my primary phone line for 1 week. Would have been longer had I not told them to revert my plan to the non + and put my old sim back in. Off to find a new carrier. Cheers

      Yes...same here. Been loyal customer of Visible few years now and "upgrade process" has been incompetent. Recvd new sim for required upgrade of Visible phone that is just now little over 3 years old. After 2 days of upgrade not processing properly and having No hotspot, Visible supervisor called (with condescending tone)and states the iemi of this Visible phone is no longer compatible with network upgrade and I would need to purchase another Visible phone?? Appears as unscrupulous marketing ploy to sell more phones. Where is tech, existing Visible phones/ iemi compatibility should have been given priority with any upgrade?? Have 4 phones with Visible yet now considering other options given poor resolutions with this "upgrade"..??

    First of all thanks for letting us join up with your party plan, I was on it for just over a year, and was quite happy with the service. However, I moved, and Verizon's service was terrible in my new location. I thought I'd try the "new" network and see if it was any better, but Visible doesn't support my brand new unlocked Galaxy S21 FE that worked on the old network, so I had to leave them for greener T-Mobile fields. Porting out was dead ass easy though, and I would still tell people to give them a try, if their phone is supported.

And forced to pay the $30. Also I had my Apple Watch for $5. I stopped paying because I lost my watch. Now it’s $10 a month. Also every new customer you brought into the visible service your plan would drop $5 per customer. That is no longer there.

    I have been a happy customer of Visible for more than five years now. I'm on the party pay plan and I love it! Now I have Visible texting me and emailing me over and over and over again trying to get me to upgrade to their newer plan. The way I see it, this is visible harassing me into upgrading to their newer plan. In the last text that I received from visible it said; "Hi Robert, Visible again. Upgrading isn't recommended. It's required". This is nothing more than plain and simple harassment! Visible Chief Commercial Officer Jeremy Bolton in this video said NOTHING about harassing their customers into upgrading to a newer plan. I can see now that this is gonna piss off a lot of Visible's long time customers Like Me! I personally don't understand why big businesses like Visible take something that works very well and change it.

    • @MichaelSaves
      @MichaelSaves  Год назад +1

      Visible launched the new plans in August 2022. That's when people began upgrading. Jeremy said in the video there would be a time when it doesn't make sense to continue operating the old network. Our interview was in November. It's now April. That time appears to be coming fairly soon -- perhaps several months -- so I encourage you to take advantage of the upgrade offer or consider another carrier. I would not recommend being the last person on the old network and scrambling to switch at the last minute whenever that time comes.

    The $30 doesn't mention the 50gb limit and its speed is capped at 5mbps. I switched to the $45 with an iPhone 13 Pro Max and saw no signal improvement. Then I go to the other side of Phoenix and Verizon is outstanding but when I had ATT it was unusable. If you are always in the same area I would try to figure out which carrier works the best where you are and go with them.

I have never had a phone service with speeds like that. I switched to Tello and get between 30 - 40 mbps. And they use T-Mobile which is normally pretty crappy in my area. We purchased these phones in the last year and for the price to performance I will not be letting them go just to keep Visible. Though my phone is the 8T my wife's is the new flagship model so I feal there is no reason for hers to no longer be compatible. Verizon still supports them so I see no reason to suddenly remove their compatibility from Visibles network. Just wrong to do to existing customers but makes it easy to leave them.

      Verizon's old plans used CDMA LTE which is old technology. T-Mobile, Sprint (now owned by T-Mobile), and some of the other carriers used GSM. T-Mobile and Verizon phones can't be ported to each other. They are scurrying to make it all 5G. Now Verizon is switching over to GSM too with the 5G, but very slowly. I used to be on Straight Talk on an old CDMA LTE 3 phone. Verizon bought Straight Talk several back. Verizon put on their website they are hoping by the end of Dec to be mainly on 5G and turn the LTE 3 off. I bought an unlocked 5G phone on Amazon that works on T-Mobile and switched (Straight Talk sucked). Your phone is not going to be compatible because it can't move to the upgraded, faster network.
      Anyone who stays on the cheapest plans with Visible probably won't get fast speeds without a new 4/5G phone and paying more. If you pay less, you get less. You're also going to probably be at the bottom of the tier. Verizon's customers get the data first, then it goes out to other companies like Visible that buy from them. Then Visible cuts it down more, giving more to those who pay more. If the network gets congested, good luck getting data. I'm done with middlemen like Visible and Straight Talk. I'm going to try to stay with the big cell phone companies. Not only that, but I'm on the top tier now, and I pay $50 a month!

    The BIG hidden gotcha is that the new plans limit your hotspot network to just one device - so your wireless printer won't work any longer, and it is COMPLICATED to move from one computer to another. Make a mistake and your network just stops working, with NO message indicating what is wrong or how to fix it. This new one-device limit makes it impossible for non-gurus to use this service. I finally gave up and bought a tethered router where I could switch things around without having to run from machine to machine shutting things down and bringing them back up. What a royal mess they have made of their otherwise nice service. Sad.

    • @SteveRichfield
      @SteveRichfield Год назад

      @@MichaelSaves Notice here that printers don't utilize the Internet. Visible CLAIMS to limit to one Internet device, but the way they implement it they limit YOU to one device in total, Internet or not, in the process of limiting THEM to one device.
      Since I posted my comment I picked up a cheap router that handles the printer without involving anything Visible can see, and I discovered that leaving a looping video running in low resolution with volume off in an unused tab holds my connection forever.
      Also, there are hacks to overcome the one-devise limit, using NetShare or PdaNet+.
