I've been a pro groomer for 29 years. I am horrified at the lack of sweet talk you gave. Sweet talk can provide a huge amount of comfort for the dog and make a situation like this oh so much better. Also, this little guy should have had some sort of restraint to prevent him from falling off the table if he snapped when too close to the edge. I prefer a large grooming loop that one front leg steps into and then goes over the head so that the dog is not strangled if it should fall.
I feel like they abused this dog off camera.. Notice when the dog gets super sensitive she pulls on the back of the tie that controls the dogs breathing and than the camera comes back on.. what a shitty thing to do. I can see cuts all through out this video!!!! Don't do it if you don't have the patience...
@@denisefelty3290 No. This groomer is very patient. You can see the dog is just reactive because it is in pain, scared, and has never been groomed before. She didn't abuse him. Many youtube groomers have cuts. He could've been unable to be touched for a little bit and they let him calm down, but because that would make the video too long it was edited out. She grabbed the back because he can't whip around and bite her there. Anywhere else he can. He is just fine. She didn't choke him by doing that at all. I love videos like this that show what is needed when a dog is misbehaving. I think it's just as important to understand when a dog is nervous, or anxious, or temperamental. They are all indications of fear. Not necessarily aggression. The fact this dog stood still for the majority of their treatment shows they were capable of behavior training. It's all up to the owner to raise their pet proper. Always remember: When giving commands, while walking or training, Eye Contact, and Positive Reinforcement are key. That dog was in so much pain and scared to death! People who let their dogs get like that need JAIL TIME, BIG FINE AND NOT ALLIWED TO EVER HAVE ANOTHER DOG! I pray they don’t have children!!!🙏
Bless it. He's terrified. My dog is also terrified of the groomer and vet. When he was little, on his first groom, the groomer cut his ear badly, then did not tell me it was cut. It got infected quickly and smelled like a horrible rotten sock, I could smell it across the room, and it took me a while to find the cut, I thought his ear was infected inside. I took him back to the vet where the groomer worked and they denied it. I took him to another vet, and the treatment for the cut ear, the change and the pain of it all freaked him out and now he has PTSD. He is very aggressive at the vet's office. I have to give him to them and leave because he will attack them as long as I am there, then he does better once I'm out of sight...I guess he's protecting me. I groom my dog myself now, he's a Havanese by the way, and I scissor him and use clippers. Now when he goes to the vet, I have to drug him with prescription medication the vet gave him for his nerves. I hate that he has to go through this, and I pity this little dog, too.
He was so much better towards the end. I think he understood that you were helping him feel better. You did a wonderful job on him. Now I hope his owners can do better as well. It’s not his fault. He’s seems like a sweet boy. Thank you for not giving up on him. 🥰
God bless you for your kindness. If I had any $$ I would definitely share it with you in appreciation of your thoughtfulness. God bless and keep the faith.....
Well done guys not only does he look like a different dog, he was acting like it too. He would have been so so scared and maybe in some pain too from the matts. My cockerpoo is petrified of being groomed from having a bad experience as a puppy. It’s so difficult, if only they could understand what we’re saying!!
I remember grooming dog's w/ My Mom, we spoke soothing and praised to help them to relax. Positive reinforcement worked most of the time. ❤ Great Groomer👍
Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely patient video. Seeing his condition before grooming was so pitiful. but at the end was so happy for the dog and he looks so handsome and calm...Thank you once again.
I feel for this dog. I adopted my dog (eskimo/chihuahua mix) from a shelter 8 years ago at the age of 1 and he used to be a stray. Super skinny. He loses his mind when he sees other dogs, he can’t be tamed at the vet (they have to put a muzzle on him) and he flunked dog training class (unteachable they said). Other than that he’s a sweet boy who loves belly rubs and sleeping. I’ve brought up this concern to my vet and he said he just has a “loose screw” which to me was very offensive. Yes, my dog has issues, and yes it may apart of him because of his past trauma, but he’s still a loving dog. I’ve tried giving him things to relax but it doesn’t work. I’ve just accepted that’s how he is. Whenever I take him on walks I take him at a time where it’s more lonely and no other dogs around, but the trips to the vet are a nightmare every time. I think I hate visits more than he does. Still, I love him so much and try to help him as much as I can. He might seem neglected from outsiders but he’s the most spoiled dog ever.
Very, Very difficult groom! Difficult for both of you! Thank you for keeping patient and calm. You got him through this beautifully! He will be able to move without the painful mats.
OMG....I have that little guy's sister, I swear! Thank you for this video. So Helpful!!! I have been unable to find a groomer who will be willing to take on my little mean Chipoo, who I adopted last year. She is a holy terror! I can't even brush her without her attacking. It's sad to see her like this as I can't even imaging how her life was before being found alone in an abandon shed, looking like a dirty old mop! Breaks my heart, but with patience and lots of love and treats, we are going to get through this together!
Poor baby was absolutely petrified but once he realised he was in safe hands he calmed down. I can never understand why people have pets and then neglect them. Hopefully he will be looked after better in future. Thank you for your patience. 😘💕🐶🇦🇺
Wow, you did so well through that groom. You must've had a lot of adrenalin flowing! Am sure the little dog must feel much better after that and more comfortable. Good job! 👍💫
Awww poor baby. I bet the matted/tangled fur hurt a lot when cut and pulled. Glad you were so patient and stuck with it. I'm sure the puppy was appreciative afterwards in his own way.❤️
I’m a new groomer and I have been getting so many dogs like these it almost made me want to quit. But then I know I can help them feel better and it makes it all worth it 🥰🥺
You have the patience of an angel! That poor little guy! You did such a great job, thank you for helping him to feel so much better! I can't imagine how all those mats must have hurt and pulled!
I have no idea what you would charge for a difficult groom such as this one, but your talent and expertise are worth 10 times that amount! Great video...
Ive been grooming difficult dogs for about 10 years now and in my experience its better to use the wahl bravura 5 in 1 blades on the scared dogs. It is alot less noise and vibration. Also you should start with an e-collar and he should 100% be leaded while working on him. Theres alot of stigma around grooming these difficult dogs bc alot of people dont understand what it takes. But i do, and im truly just trying to give you my best advice. Best of luck, i hope they continue to keep up with his grooming.
You did a great job on a challenging doggo. I don’t think he meant to be a bad boy; he was scared and also it may have caused him pain at times cuz he was so terribly matted. Hopefully, his owner(s) will see what a pretty boy they’d have if they get him groomed regularly.
Still trembling didn,t know who is standing behind me, then he realized this very nice person trying to help and relaxation all over and a little more trust. Looks how beautiful! 😇
May have been because she was using the scissors instead of the buzzer. Regardless the groomer did a fantastic job and the puppy was relaxed in the end 🐶👍
Beautiful grooming, I’m in school to be a vet tech and this is what I would’ve done too. The minimal restraint at the beginning, the gloves, the scrubs, the gauze muzzle. Idk it’s calming watching someone who knows what they’re doing. Deffo trained as a vet in some way, shape, or form.
You did a great job! He was looking great at the end and not so scared. Calm, patient and firm. Poor dog, I hope he’ll be looked after better from now on. Sad to see the mats, ticks and dried feces stuck in his hair. 😕
He did real good in the end and she was amazing sticking with it, but some of his "doing good at end" maybe down to he was too tired to care anymore. Who knows but she is certainly the star of this show. ✨️ 💯❤ love your channel ❤️ have a great day.
My dog is a rescue terrier mix around 6 years old that has been bullied by his first owners;I can tell they beat him up with different objects, from my experiences I saw that he overreacts to the working machines such as the shaving razors and vacuum cleaners. He also got matted because how agressive he is.I am not saying the job the groomer have done here is easy but imagine my dog being more nervous and 5 times bigger than this poor dog in the video. No groomers accepted to groom and trim his nails;the vets called me over when they were about to do the nail clipping and showed me he is not letting them. Now I do the grooming and nail clipping all by myself as good as dog groomer quality at home and this all happened because I was patient enough to take breaks, got him used to his paws being touched. Also when he overreacted,I stopped the job and gave him treats and made him calm.If you have a dog like this;it's all because of the wrong treatment and not understanding his fear and what he is feeling. It can be a very calm and friendly dog if you treat it right.
A vets office groom is needed as 1) Anti anxiety medicine is needed 2) The severity of the mats require immediate attention 3) The highly aggressive behavior creates a danger to the groomer. You did a great job under very difficult circumstances.

I bet he had EPIC zoomies after his first wash and cut! 😆 He'll be back for more after that 🐩 Lucky for him his bits weren't mistaken for a matted lump like his tail tho 😲
Great job. Poor baby, his skin probably hurts. So glad he is getting the needed grooming. He seems fine at the end of the video. Warms my heart. I have an aggressive dog that I have to groom myself. He was in a near fatal accident at 3 months old and suffers from some brain damage. He will be 1 year old in October. He has improved dramatically. I love him so much.

The parts of the guideare divided: part i know your dog part ii the seven commands part iii cures for 7 behavior problems. Each chapter presents a topic, a dog's story, and a "what to do". It was written simply and you can jump from chapter to chapter to review anything as needed.

🥰❤️
God bless you for your kindness. If I had any $$ I would definitely share it with you in appreciation of your thoughtfulness. God bless and keep the faith.....
Well done guys not only does he look like a different dog, he was acting like it too. He would have been so so scared and maybe in some pain too from the matts. My cockerpoo is petrified of being groomed from having a bad experience as a puppy. It’s so difficult, if only they could understand what we’re saying!!
❤️
I remember grooming dog's w/ My Mom, we spoke soothing and praised to help them to relax. Positive reinforcement worked most of the time. ❤ Great Groomer👍
Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely patient video. Seeing his condition before grooming was so pitiful. but at the end was so happy for the dog and he looks so handsome and calm...Thank you once again.
I love her patience and kindness to this little dog 🐶
😁🥰
Did we watch the same video?
How confident and patient you are it must have taken hours. He looks like a champ.
Такая бубочка-милый малыш!! Как можно довести до такого состояния бедного пса??!! Грумер умница, спасибо за видео!!
Very, Very difficult groom! Difficult for both of you! Thank you for keeping patient and calm. You got him through this beautifully! He will be able to move without the painful mats.
Oh, definitely very difficult but we made it! 😊
The groomer is very good, very calm. I am sure the dog sensed that and it helped him calm down. Thank you to the groomer.
Groomer did a wonderful job, very patient and kind. Beautiful puppy after well done job!
I know there were some close calls, but thank-you for not giving up on this precious dog.❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍
😃👍
Poor baby was absolutely petrified but once he realised he was in safe hands he calmed down. I can never understand why people have pets and then neglect them. Hopefully he will be looked after better in future. Thank you for your patience. 😘💕🐶🇦🇺
Wow, you did so well through that groom. You must've had a lot of adrenalin flowing! Am sure the little dog must feel much better after that and more comfortable. Good job! 👍💫
😃❤️
Awww poor baby. I bet the matted/tangled fur hurt a lot when cut and pulled. Glad you were so patient and stuck with it. I'm sure the puppy was appreciative afterwards in his own way.❤️
Thank you for being so kind and patient with this dog. It’s a shame he hast to go home to people who don’t seem to really care about him.
You are gentle and consistent. Good job
Going deep!!!! I hope the owners appreciate and from now will take care of their 🐩
É muito profissional mas procure outro modo de ele não lhe morder essa boquinha atada não gosto de ver ok obrigado 😍
I’m a new groomer and I have been getting so many dogs like these it almost made me want to quit. But then I know I can help them feel better and it makes it all worth it 🥰🥺
He wasn’t used to being groomed and he was terrified. She did a great job on him. My nerves were gone just watching! lol
I think some dogs just get narky after being touched too much
You have the patience of an angel! That poor little guy! You did such a great job, thank you for helping him to feel so much better! I can't imagine how all those mats must have hurt and pulled!
That was very, very impressive!!! Awesome work. Appreciate you filming this; was very educational.
Thank you very much! 😃👍
Thank you so much for your kindness. He really needed that love and patience . Great job 👏🏾
I have no idea what you would charge for a difficult groom such as this one, but your talent and expertise are worth 10 times that amount! Great video...
Thank you! ❤
Thanks a lot for that advice!
E-collars we don't use, thats not our practice, but 5in1 we will try. :)
You did a great job on a challenging doggo. I don’t think he meant to be a bad boy; he was scared and also it may have caused him pain at times cuz he was so terribly matted. Hopefully, his owner(s) will see what a pretty boy they’d have if they get him groomed regularly.
Ya
Hopefully they can afford this regularly for him. She's a super groomer and doggie will learn and trust her.
Still trembling didn,t know who is standing behind me, then he realized this very nice person trying to help and relaxation all over and a little more trust. Looks how beautiful! 😇
Kudos to the groomer who had great and consistent caring hands on this dog! He should return to this groomer for continued care and training!
So gentle....so kindly n so heartily....thank you. May Allah bless you ol rescuers team. Ameen.
He was SOOO good for his face despite being so scared in the beginning 🥰
May have been because she was using the scissors instead of the buzzer. Regardless the groomer did a fantastic job and the puppy was relaxed in the end 🐶👍
Beautiful grooming, I’m in school to be a vet tech and this is what I would’ve done too. The minimal restraint at the beginning, the gloves, the scrubs, the gauze muzzle. Idk it’s calming watching someone who knows what they’re doing. Deffo trained as a vet in some way, shape, or form.
What an amazing job! 👏
Thanks!
Excellent job, I think you're the best I've seen, patience and firm handling of the pooch, he looked gorgeous and very pleased 👍😉🌹❤️💯
You did a great job! He was looking great at the end and not so scared. Calm, patient and firm. Poor dog, I hope he’ll be looked after better from now on. Sad to see the mats, ticks and dried feces stuck in his hair. 😕
He was in soo much pain for so long. I bet he took a well earned nap that night. Thank you for loving these guys
He did real good in the end and she was amazing sticking with it, but some of his "doing good at end" maybe down to he was too tired to care anymore. Who knows but she is certainly the star of this show. ✨️ 💯❤ love your channel ❤️ have a great day.

Wow! You did such a great job🥰 Seeing the dog calm down towards the end was so beautiful…it was a testament of your kind touch and love 🥰
I honestly believe he or she has a look of gratitude in the end 🥰😁❤️😁❤️🥰…..
😃👨🎓
Wow, what a change. He looks much better AND seems to feel better, too.
Poor guy. Thank you for helping this pup!!!
Poor dog without grooming. Great job and patience!💕👍
Thanks!
@@GroomHousedog breed name????
What a beautiful little dog a maltese I think 🤔 good grooming I hope the little chap is happy and being cared for properly
Don't forget that matting pulls his skin which makes him react. It's like having your hair pulled. Beautiful job!! You are a great groomer!
You are so kind, loving, and patient with the dogs❤️
A vets office groom is needed as 1) Anti anxiety medicine is needed 2) The severity of the mats require immediate attention 3) The highly aggressive behavior creates a danger to the groomer. You did a great job under very difficult circumstances.
Omg the dog groomer, she’s so gentle and patience. You have such a warm heart ❤❤❤❤❤
I know that the comments are about the dog and the groom but I really love the groomer’s hair design 😀
Haha 😃 thanks a lot! That was made just for this video! 😁
@@GroomHouse well I still think it was a nice design and it looked nice and kept the hair out of your face and away from the dog
Нелёгкая работа с агрессивными собачками.На самом деле это рефлекс защиты,она хорошая,жалко,что о ней никто не заботился надлежащим образом.Красатулька стала и добрая❤🐕🌷
I bet he had EPIC zoomies after his first wash and cut! 😆 He'll be back for more after that 🐩 Lucky for him his bits weren't mistaken for a matted lump like his tail tho 😲
He looks amazing at the end. Well done and such patience with him.
Love how this groomer is so nice to the dog. The dog is relaxed... Great job.
She's not a groomer, but an ANGEL instead... May God bless both of you ever!
Why do people wait until the dog gets like that before they decide they probably should get groomed 🤦🏼♀️😢 Poor boy was so scared.
You are a good groomer, patient, and doing your best to help your client. I know some days are difficult than others. Keep up the excellent work. Wow! Your client is so beautiful AFTER the fur cut. Wow!
He presents training in 7 days. Each of 7 items are commands that he believes a dog should know. They are presented in part ii of the book ruclips.net/user/postUgkxK8-VQWpYThx4IC6MiIvb6VS1ebTzzdxq . The parts of the guideare divided: part i know your dog part ii the seven commands part iii cures for 7 behavior problems. Each chapter presents a topic, a dog's story, and a "what to do". It was written simply and you can jump from chapter to chapter to review anything as needed.
Bravo!!! You did so great! You’re a wonderful person to help this little doggy!❤
Parabéns pelo cuidado, pelo amor, pelo carinho e paciência com o animalzinho, no final ele ficou até calminho!Era disso que ele precisava. 👏👏👏😘❤🐶🐾🙌
This is actually defined as "learned helplessness".
Heartwarming to see such an improvement in appearance and confidence in the little guy.. Also I learned a lot... Many thanks.
This dog looks so much like my Bichon, Annie, who spent 5 years in a puppy mill. Annie is so afraid of everything and practically everyone (except me) because she had never had any interaction with humans. I could see her being reactive like this. I need to get her groomed and I dread it for her.
We have my FIL'S Bichon. She behaves like this ANY time you do something she doesn't like. She is a challenge, to say the least. Best of luck to you!
My Monty had been with a hoarder...so he was worse than this fella and needed a full shave in the beginning...was petrified of EVERYTHING, and was just not even clear on how to be a dog.
He's a totally different pooch now...does tricks and everything; plus he's so adorably cute, people often think he is a girl!
@@michellehunter-robinson3041 how long have you had Monty? My Annie has made great progress every week. Still doesn't like my husband though.
God bless you for the love you showed this poor baby
Awww. He’s a sweetie. Just asserting boundaries. Those long scissors moving quickly around his face and ears had me on edge. But he looks great and amazing! Hope he’s taken care of 🙏🏼
I'm so happy to see another groomer like myself that takes the time to work with these scared and frightened babies I'm known for doing dogs noone else can or will so thank you
❤️🙏
Here is a brand new dog and a very happy and beautiful one! ❤Thank you. Helene
After you finished with his feet, he sat still, was calm, did not nip and seemed to enjoy the process. He's a good dog, God bless him.
