A bit delayed but I also revised them after 15h of playtime. Next will be a review. Now the steam rating is a bit low but thats because of all the preorder and twitch drops stuff. The game as a whole is a solid 8-9/10. Animations are a bit wonky but charming, the voiceacting is really great and the game mechanics combine the goods of XCOM with a more aggresive approach to the genre. I sadly do not qualify for review copies or any early access stuff, but I am working on it!
8-9 is a bit too much IMHO. It is more like a solid 6-7. graphisms and artistic direction are on the upper average, but gameplay, game mechanics and UI is underaverage. Not even mentionning the numerous bugs and non working features. It is a decent indie game, but far from a good one. You'll have forgotten it in a few weeks.
@@etienne8110 I think it all comes down to the quality and speed that they release their first DLC. If it gets no further support, then I agree, but if it gets 2-3 solid DLCs I think this game could be legendary.
@@MercytheMad Will depend on the price asked for those DLCs. Base game is already 45euros, which is a lot for an A/AA indie game. For the same price you can get Mechanicus+DoW2 for ex. But i agree they need patches, they already put out one fixing the weapons' bugs and some balancing, but the mines are still buggy. I can hardly see this going legendary, there are too many game design flaws to make this legendary. (we are talking XCOM2 or Dawn of War 2 as competition) But I would be happy to be wrong.
Tip number 21 - upgrade your ship's battle capabilities and geller field - navigating around warp storms and enemy ships is a huge pain otherwise. Tip number 22 - big bosses can be attacked from different sides - and it affects what parts you can cut off on a critical hit. Tip number 23 - you can watch the details of a mission before you fly there, so prioritize rewards you currently need, like servitors. Tip number 24 - a turn passes when there is your turn and enemy turn - so if you discover new enemies and wipe them out before they act, your action points will refresh, but the turn will not pass - this is important for timed objectives. Tip number 25 - servo skulls can only be used when you have action points, but they don't use an action point to use - as long as you have ammo, you can walk up to the enemies and rip them to shreds with disruptor skull (especially good against high armor/low life mechanical targets.) Tip number 26 - falling columns ignore enemy armor and go straight to their HP. Tip number 27 - if your build relies on chaining executions, kill the bell dude first - he grants massive stun resistance to nearby enemies. Tip number 28 - your intereptor can't be parried - he's your guy for killing plaguebearers in melee.
I believe healing at the end of a mission won't stop your knights from being wounded. I think it is based on the total damage a knight took during the mission. Visible by the blood on their armor at the end of a mission
This game is great but needs some QoL like Deployment Loadouts(a saved combo of 4 knights and their weapons) to quickly change which Knights are in your squad. I was thinking like "Blitz Squad" 3 Justicars and 1 Interceptor using "Honor the Chapter to push your Interceptor to the goal Lure enemies away from the goal with 1 of the Justicars then Warp everyone to the goal. Another one I like is 1 Interceptor and 2 Apothecaries for "win the mission with 3 knights"
chain linking execution is such a satisfaction and saved my GK at critical times when they were severely outgunned, outmaneuvered and outnumbered. conversely, it made me hate the ability that triggers teammate shots.....could've started an execution chain link just for the enemy to be shot to pieces....
The only tip thats really important and nobody tells you that.. Build 2! Teams, you will need it at the end. If you dont have 2 good teams, you're fucked.
Best tip I can give you is do more missions before you go on the final one. Get 2 teams juiced up with gear and levels! Hope all the other tips also help!
Had more but didn´t want to make it too long. f.e. you can check the reward types you get for requisition at the start of a mission. The icons represent the reward type and hovering over them in the overworld tells more about them.
Constructive criticism: English may not be your first language, I respect that. But speak more slowly and pronounce better (think about how voice actors do it). I have trouble undersrtanding a lot what you are trying to say. You sound like the Swedish chef from the muppet show. Don't be insulted.
I think the real problem here is that some neanderthals have to understand not everyone speaks perfect english i for once had no problem understanding him and i speak three languages

Great Tips guide and well presented, Kudos on getting it out so fast and being so thorough.
Thank you!

That is correct, should have tested this one better!
"crush filth" - still my favourite quote xD
This was a very helpful video as i dive into this for the first time on Ps5 😊 Thanks! 🙏
Just bought this, thank you for the great tips!
I absolutely loved this game! Enjoy!

There's a video idea "Squad Compositions for Clearing Glorious Deeds"
*Valor Deeds
I think you are right. The game is fun but would have benefited from a feature like this. Especially for later missions.

Won't ever be not funny

I felt like a handycap for the interceptor. Wanted to prep executes all the time but couldn´t because of it.
What are grimoires used for

Thats a mighty good tip!
Will Smith does always crit
Thats his special move
Dude. That right click instead of back button... I've been playing this game wrong this WHOLE TIME!!!
I always try to kill at least 2 enemies a turn and always avoid fighting multiple squads.
Watching this after i defeat the final mission. just to be better in second run hahahaha

Really stretching to get to 20, ehj?

I will try but that will probably take some time and a lot of practise. XQc noises
As a native English speaker I had no problems understanding anything he said.
