What a fun video! Truth be told, I wish there was an entire Hannah & Julia channel. :) I am enamored of my own nuuly subscription and I can't even tell you how excited I was that you were wearing the dress in the opening that I've rented three times and lived in all summer (so comfy, and I wouldn't have imagined I would love it so much either), and I am also on my second go-round with the black poplin one - to me, it being warmer is a selling point because it seems boho dresses like that are usually *too* summery if that makes sense, and to me it's great for fall/witchy looks right now. At any rate, I really resonated with what you were saying about shopping online - of course, now that I'm a renter, I can't imagine committing to a garment for more than a month, haha. (How did we get so lucky to get two fashion videos in a row? I LIVE.)

I really loved the friends giving advice aspect of this video. Also seeing the same clothes on different bodies is quite helpful. Sometimes I try things on and blame my body that it doesn’t make it look good when really it is the clothes fault.
The floral dress that neither of you liked didn't seem like your style at all but is absolutely the piece that's most up my alley! When you mentioned the movie version of Cinderella that clinched it because the live action Disney remake is my favourite movie and is the vibe to which I aspire.
I'm also curious if spending time with a baby affects your style at all. You wear so many beautiful designer pieces, do you find yourself wearing them any less because your life has more baby mess now? I worked with kids for years and had a hard time wearing my favourite pieces for fear that they'd be stained or damaged by the washing necessary to clean out the spit up and sticky fingerprints.

yay!!!! I've previously commented about really loving Nuuly for my work wardrobe and I've had it paused for a lot of the pandemic, but it unpauses in a few days and I am very excited. I have a couple of things I have been considering buying (and rented multiple times last winter and spring) but want to rent again to try and I also just have enough in person travel and zoom calls and meetings that I want to freshen it up without committing to an investment item or resorting to fast fashion.
So glad that you’re doing more fashion content, I’m here for it! The black dress is stunning, I thought it was from Zara, so disappointing that it’s not 100% cotton. The dark floral dress was the first one that caught my eye, love the print but it’d have to be a midi to work for me, it’s too overwhelming as a maxi.

I love this video. Im heading into my late 20’s and a lot of people keep telling me that as I get older my friendships will fall apart or won’t be the same in a negative way. I expect them to change and grow but it’s nice to see women that aren’t in their teens or early 20’s still having fun together and acting silly ❤️

Whenever your friends are in your videos, I find myself grinning from ear to ear all the way through - I think it's just lovely to see the dynamics of a deep friendship play out in mundane situations.
Julia being a runway model and giving the most hilarious commentary, as well as your delightfully silly transitions, are all excellent too.
I actually *would* wear the yellow floral top with Julia's stripy trousers and feel like a fashionable clown. Also perhaps because it would still follow the rules of print-mixing, being that both are small, both have graphic lines (the floral top has vertical stripes too!) and muted colours close to each other in the colour wheel (grey-green and yellow).
The principal reason I feel like I could never rent clothes is that I spill stuff on myself all the time. This is also the reason that 95% of my wardrobe is black, navy or forest green.
I saw someone else suggest that you do a similar thing again, but this time have Julia select the garments - if you and she are up for it, I think that would be SO fun.
Finally, I'm relieved to note that I'm not alone in making jokes about having birthed my cats from my own womb. 😂

Okay the first try on... the blue dress looks like something miss frizzle would wear on magic school bus! Hahaha it looks all sciencey and like mitochondria lol. I love it on Hannah but think it overwhelmed/was too long on Julia. The ruffle white and green dress looks amazing on both of you! I really love it on Julia! It’s not a style I would expect you (Hannah) to wear but it looks great on you too!
The number one dress is beautiful, and I would agree it’s not your usual style - a bit too plain fabric or a bit too loose form, something else here. But hey, its seems comfortable, it has pockets and you look good in it! And you wanted more casual dresses))

I recently watched an old video from Vested Interests a minimalist here on RUclips taking about cool VS warm clothing styles. Your choices are very warm (lots of prints, texture and a loose style) I am the complete opposite in dressing style, very cool with clean lines, more body skimming outfits in plain solid colours.
This was still interesting to watch though.
I feel like I wanted to hear more about the designers / styles. That said, based on your love of that blue dress, if you are able you should check out 'Gorman' (Australian designer) 🙂
Hannah, both you and Julia are great, and I enjoyed watching you! I'm not convinced about the dresses though. I must say, the first two gave me all the wrong prairie / 80's vibes. Also the flowery black one wasn't really to my taste. In general I wouldn't pick any of these, but in the end it's your video and your choice.

yes, Julia does know a good bit about the history of the house! It was built in the 19-teens. We didn't mention in in the video but the construction is all redwood, which is just crazy to think of, it would be impossible these days!

@@HannahLouisePoston Wow. It sounds like an amazing place full of history. We live in a cream city brick farmhouse built in 1883. Some of the details that it has are crazy..and it's a farm house so it's not even fancy. We have pocket doors that are rounded at the top and if you look closely at the trim is is all hand cut and refitted to make those curves. Our basement ceiling is plastered and we have 5 foot thick basement walls with a window on the inside AND the outside. They just don't build things like they used to.
