I love all of these pokemon and what they are based also I kinda like how the pokemon company(for the most part) don't really come out and this stuff and let the community figure it out ourselves, lore videos on all the pokemon games are always popular cuz of it

Lucario will always be my favorite Pokémon. As a kid I loved Ancient Egypt and Anubis was my favorite Egyptian God. I’m just so glad the made a Pokémon of Anubis and it’s one of the greatest of all time.
I always thought it was interesting that Sinnoh (a region based on northern Japan) has 3 pokémon either based on, or with Egyptian features. Luxray (Lynx/Sphinx) Weavile (Egyptian headwear) and ofc Lucario who is based on Anubis. Which really fits well with Sinnohs theme of mythology.

The mythologies are always fun to name Pokemon after. I’ve called my Lucario Anubis a few times, Garchomp is called Bahamut, and I started calling Bloodmoon Ursaluna Kim-un-Kamuy.

Annihilape easily became my #1 favorite Paldean pokemon without even expecting it to. When I started using it in my playthrough I was so happy with its performance that I tried using him competitively. He is still used in my vgc team to this day because I absolutely love his Rage Fist attack, combined with how surprisingly bulky he is + his Defiant ability.

Hydrogen is cool because not only is it based off of creatures of various mythologies, it’s also a reference to King Ghidorah, a large three headed golden scaled wings dragon kaiju that is always enemies with Godzilla, a dinosaurian kaiju that inspired the creation of various pokemon in his own right.
I think Terrapaggo was the number 1 Pokemon based of Mythodgy and my Favourite Gen 9 Pokemon is Meowscarada since I like cats and their should be honerey mentioned to Infernape who is based on the monkey king Sun Woking/ Son Goku and Empoleon who are based off the Gods of the Seas Netune/ Poseidon.
the yamata-no-orochi has 9 or more heads, in one piece, theres an ancient zoan type called a dragon dragon no mi devil fruit model yamata no orochi and he's got 15 heads.....but of course oda likes to play with mythology XD

Korrina and Marley had the best matches in there season I mean Ash didn't even win his match against Marley and her unstoppable Lucario best he could do was draw but she gave him the badge anyways cause it was that good of a battle honestly would recommend I don't like eri's voice 😭😭 she just sounded like Ash
Things like this made me have a love-hate relationship with Pokemon. Love it because of the cuteness and the lore of the series, and the good valuable lessons they have taught me. Hate it cause these mythos behind the creatures got them banned in my region for almost 11 years. Not to mention that devout Christians and Muslims that would happily cancel the shows and forbid the games and merchandise. All happily supported by stingy parents who don't want to spend some money for the happiness of their children.
