The AF Museum is a go to spot the family and we still learn something new every time.
So funny we just literally left Ohio yesterday. Campground choices were slim and we settled upon American wilderness campground . No sewer, tons of potholes, muddy and terrible when it rained (which was everyday) no dog park, beach wasn’t dog friendly, WiFi was non existent and cellphone service was so spotty. We spent 14 nights there because we paid in advance and I was literally counting down the days till we left!
We are currently at the same campground counting the days til we can leave as well.
Oh no, that’s no fun at all
You missed a visit to Young's Jersey Dairy. Great ice cream and lots of activities there for all ages. As a retired AF aviation maintainer, the AF museum is great. It's free and a great way to pass a rainy day. I have two aircraft in there that I worked on and a few friends that work there restoring the A/C that come in.
@4:00 You've never had a last-minute "everything drops into place" experience. I'm of the belief that "Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous". When everything falls into place at the exact time I need it to I don't thank my lucky stars, I thank my living God.
Glad everything worked out for you.
If your still in Ohio your kids may love kings island amusement park..
Noticed your AR sticker is missing May i recommend try Crater of diamonds state park in Arkansas where the diamonds you find you get to keep.
Just get a camp site on the higher ground lvl, cause we only had one bar of cell service for our hot spot at the time.

Great episode and most importantly a beautiful sentiment when describing those that have fought for the freedoms we enjoy today. Looking forward to your EAA experience! It was also funny with the Ice cream, Lori walked by and said hey that’s Bill !
It was an amazing place! Hopefully you can meet up with us next year
My daughter went to the Museum of the air force several years ago and loved it. So much history! I hope to go there one day.
we live about 20 minutes from the air force museum. I wish I knew you were in town, we watch all your videos and would love to meet you. The next time you make it to the buckeye state let me know, dinner will be on us! safe travels and God Bless!
Hey there, thanks so much! We don’t always make our location known to the general public (for safety reasons) until after the fact, but we do share our itinerary with our insiders. We do love being able to meet others on the road!
Camp Cedar is a beautiful campground! We stayed there their opening year (we were patiently waiting for it to open). The late afternoon thunderstorms were awful, however. One actually put the final nail in the coffin for our poor pop up. But the campground is close enough for day trips to Kings Island, the Airforce Museum, the Newport Aquarium, and more. Glad you got a chance to stay there, and it was fun to see it again on your video.
Thanks for watching
Awww! I love that you’re here in Ohio! This is where we live and all the stomping grounds we do every year. We definitely need to do a meet up soon!! Be safe on your travels 💕
Fun times! Looking forward to next time ✌️
Can't wait!
Super job as always.
I was born in Dayton, Ohio, Aug. 4, 1944. My Dad was training at Wright-Patterson AFB to be a carrier flight maintenance engineer while my pregnant Mom was the driver for military brass. My Dad left for the Japan Sea (WWII) the day after my birth and was gone for 13 months. When I was 3 months old I went with my Mom to San Francisco to stay with my Grandma until my Dad's return which he did after his ship was damaged by a Kamikaze and Japan surrendered.
I was 50 years old when I went back to Dayton and we also spent a day going through the air museum. We couldn't go through AF1 then, so it was nice to see that you could now. Good memories of that trip. All three of our kids were getting married in various states (one week apart) so we were on the road for a month. Nice video. Thanks for the memories!
Thanks for sharing your memories- best wishes.
Loved the intro music. I have got to go see this museum!
I grew up outside an AFB in NM in the 60’s, so we had B52’s and various fighters flying around all the time. The fighters would often break the sound barrier and rattle every window in town. It was pretty cool, and thanks for the memories!
That is cool - thanks for watching and sharing
Oh wow!! From Ohio. Who knew you are here or was here!!! We have been to this museum!! It is absolutely beautiful!!!!!
👍🏻
Welcome to Ohio!!!! My husband and I met you at the Tampa RV show. Glad you enjoyed the Air Force museum.
I felt that balcony goodness. I love Ohio! I'm in MI and go there a lot. I was in Toledo this morning! It's a fun state. Hocking Hills is gorgeous.
It was an amazing game! We had so much fun in Ohio :) Thanks so much for watching.
Oh my.. your in my hometown of 53years! Greaters choc chip rocks!! And your eating larosas pizza oh how I miss there pizza .. we moved to Georgia to be near grandkids last year but some of those simple things are missed
Glad to see you in Ohio. Grew up in the big town of Xenia.
I enjoy your videos and going along on your travels 😊… the museum was awesome!……Lisa
We have recommended this wonderful museum to others. It's great. Don't miss it.
100%
Roy Utah where I live has an Air Force museum at the base
So glad your kids enjoyed the museum in the ways you intended. Smart move. ^5 My late aunt was in the Air Force. Much love from Louisiana. 💖
Thanks! It was such a great experience. Thanks for watching.
Best ice cream is Young's Jersey Dairy, Springfield/Yellow Springs Ohio.
Good to know! 💙🍦
I grew up in the Cincinnati/Dayton area. What great trip down memory lane! We plan to go back there when we retie in a couple of years
Awesome, thanks for coming along in watching this video!
Happy Sunday ❤☀️
Same to you
Can't wait to see what else you explored in Ohio!
Next weeks video will be a fun one ;)
We are on stadium 9 in our quest for all of the stadiums. We hope to get to a Cubs game this year to get #10. What a fun quest!
Awesome! 💙⚾️
My oldest grandson served 4 years in the AF. He was a crew member for the F-35. What an awesome piece of fire power!!
I like the suggestions for grandparents to think of what interests grandkids have and build on that to go on vacation with them. ( baseball, football, aviation, etc.)
Great video. I would like to see the air force museum. Safe travels. God Bless and I love y'all 💕💕💕
Thanks!
Best ever yet! thank you.
You're very welcome! Thank you for watching
Hey Glamper family. I hope you all are doing great. Be safe and take care of yourself’s
You too!
We arrived at Camp Cedar the day y’all left! We found the park nice but the service at the bar/restaurant was terrible! Over an hour wait for overpriced wrap and the whole time at the bar by adult pool, the mgr and others were taking priority service from the only bar tender. Extremely unprofessional. Also, our camp spot was on an end of aisle and most people had no respect for proper camp etiquette. Majority cut right through our yard and even beside our rig! We have a small 25ft pulling a two door Jeep wrangler so we are not talking a huge footprint. Super disappointed. So much so we only stayed one night. Had things been better, we would have stayed longer. Sadly, the resort has great potential if only the staff were equally as impressive.
What a coincidence! We actually stayed at that KOA… I guess a week or two after you were going as about 50% of the campground had power (30A) when we were there. Went to the Museum of the USAF as well (with our adult son) and you are so right… it was phenomenal!
Small world!
Love seeing you in Ohio! My husband and I just visited the Dayton Air Force museum last year! And I grew up in Sandusky so can’t wait to see your video next week of Cedar Point! Love your videos! Tofts ice cream is the best btw in Sandusky
Good to know - thanks for watching
We sure wish we'd known you'd be in Cincinnati!
We live in Ohio and we go south to the camp cedar probably twice a year Love the area and a lot of things to do!
“ I stay away from the amusement park LoL “ love the videos thanks
Look up wright bits home , yiu coukd spend days in Dayton
That's awesome you came right through my home town Cincinnati.
We had so much fun in Cincinnati! We love your home town :)
@@GratefulGlamper Lots to do in downtown , and right across the bridge in Northern Kentucky. Great river fronts on both sides of the river.
You weren’t very far from me. And Graeters is a hands down winner. Glad you got to enjoy some Larosa’s, hope you make it to skyline as well.
Very cool! We had so much fun in your state. The ice cream was soooo good 👍🏻
@@GratefulGlamper if you come back you need to try the black raspberry chip flavor
Welcome to Ohio!!!
You have no idea how much you have helped us with these videos. I have to ask you one more question. I can hold a snake in my hand but even the thought of a rodent puts me over the edge. Have you ever had that issue in your RV and if you did, what did you do about it?
We've had several issues with our RV (you can find some of them in the videos on our channel and what we did to resolve it) ruclips.net/channel/UCFuE6zYaSBoN3jDDgxuVRgw
Lots of good e bike trails in Ohio , try Mitchell’s ice cream , dairy in yellow springs
60 years in Ohio, NE Ohio Pav’s creamery in Portage Lakes Ohio has awesome ice cream. 👍
😋
Camp Cedar had sites available probably because they had such a terrible opening last summer. They had to postpone their opening several times and just cancelled reservations at the last minute. Campers like me had to scramble last minute to find a place in order to keep our plans. This year, when it came time to make our campsite reservations, I decided to go to the place that accommodated us last year. I have a very bad feelings for Camp Cedar after what they did to us and many others last year.
Oh wow! Very interesting. Sorry to hear about what they did to you and everyone else. That would have been a big bummer.
You have got to try Skyline chili and gold star chili. Cincinnati is so famous for!!! Cheese conies are the best!!!! Dayton has them also!!
What song did you say se? I love it!
We too have that goal-all the baseball stadiums, but sorry we're Brewers fans! But we typically root for the home team too!
Love your shirt, when we were driving back to Nevada from Florida, we saw Bucees and did not know who they were, WE KNOW NOW
Thank you! Hope you had a chance to stop in to check it out
@@GratefulGlamper Not yet however instead of going north from Vegas to Morryde, we are taking the southern route to go to the big Texan roadhouse and onward to Bucees
I like visiting the Museum of Flight in South Seattle which is down the road from me! I also enjoy Viking all the National Parks and mountains in Washington! I grew up staring at Mount Rainier every morning while waiting for my school bus! And my dad used to take my sisters and I hiking in the mountains a lot! Besides Mount Rainier there is Olympic National Park and North Cascades National Park. Then there is also The Olympic Game Farm in Sequim (pronounced Squim), WA which has Bison walking around and the sell cheap bread at the gate for you to feed to the animals! I would go without a top on your vehicle though! The bison come up and lick your car and it’s a drive through park. Then there’s also Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Eatonville, WA. Both places are fun!
Sounds amazing!
We might have been there the same time you were. We were at Cincinnati NE KOA. 7/17-7/20. Than on to Cleveland. That museum is amazing. Lots to do in Ohio, said the Pennsylvanian. Enjoy your time there.
Haha I grew up in Pittsburgh and if you told me I'd be happy in ohio I'd of said you were crazy but it is nice. Though the rock and roll hall of fame is expensive. There are nice museums and the zoo is great
I believe so! Too bad we didn't run into each other. It was such a great experience. Hope you had fun as well :)
Enjoyed it. Home for a couple weeks than off to 1000 Islands. Stay safe out there.
We have been to that museum 3 times, still haven't seen everything. Excellent place to visit and the presidential planes are definitely claustrophobic even if you aren't!😂
You went right past my home in Kentucky if you saw the Florence Y’all water tower. I’m less than a mile away.
👍🏻
Good afternoon from San Antonio Tx
Good afternoon! I hope you are having a great day :) Thanks for watching
Pavs creamery in portage lakes (Akron/canton area) is the best.
Good to know!
Graters rocks ice cream
The best ice cream in Ohio is from Handels!
Oh, good to know!
Michael scott approves of the massive opening
😂
If you were impressed by the B-52 keep an eye out for a USAF base with an open house going. Look for a C-5 Galaxy on display, your rv and seveeral more can be carried with no problem what so ever.
😲
At the Pima Air Museum in Tucson, they have a B-36 Peacemaker bomber. It was made during the Cold War, before the advent of in-air refueling, and was made to fly from Minot ND to Moscow, drop it's payload, and return - one one tank of fuel! It has ten engines - two jet engines, and eight propeller engines, and it DWARFS the B-52.
Also, the B-52 is nicknamed the BUF, for Big Ugly . When the B-52s came online, Air Force bases quickly installed car ports on base housing, because the rich fuel mixtures ate the paint from the cars of enlisted families.
Sounds like a very cool place! Thanks for sharing!
@@GratefulGlamper Wear VERY comfortable shoes. When you buy a ticket, it's for two days....
yea u were n my area live in ky by the airport and greaters is bes ice cram yea museum is great but like u found out lots of walking
Very cool! We were Grateful for lots of walking after eating all that ice cream ;)
What happens if dog eats salty food?
Excessive salt ingestion can pose dangerous health risks to your pet, including: Dehydration: Excessive salt can cause a dog's cells to dehydrate rapidly. Severe dehydration can lead to visible lethargy, confusion, and other detrimental neurological effects as a result of brain swelling.
My husband and I are both retired from the Air Force. My husband is a pilot and CFI. We have a water/electric hookup at our house if you are ever in the Oklahoma City area you are welcome to stay with us and he will take Dakota up in our Long EZ airplane.
30 yrs in Ohio which has way more than you even visited. You missed a ton so maybe you should make a second trip. Now you know Ohio is amazing.
We will be back for sure!
Graeter’s is the best but you missed the second best Ohio ice cream - Handel’s out of Youngstown. Beats Jenny’s hands down.
Oh, good to know!
Another bucket list item is former presidents homes and libraries
Great idea!
@@GratefulGlamper if yiu go to President Roosevelt home in Poughkeepsie New York , visit culinary institute of America , especially the bakery
After Ohio what state are you exploring next ?
We are making our way around eventually to the 1 state we haven’t been to in the lower 48 states :)
How do you get a site long enough for your rig
We put in the length when making reservations on the campground websites
I have a Granddaughter named Trinity
It's a beautiful name :)
@@GratefulGlamper i totally agree
Y'all doing something with your audio? Sounds like your in a can. Until Charity started talking about mattresses.
We had a few issues with the mic on the camera when we filmed this episode. All fixed now for the next episodes
wheres the fire or was it click bait
It’s explained in the video 😉
How do you afford to do this?
We prioritize experiences over things. We prioritize our spending to afford travel.
