  • The Bullworker Steel Bow is a unique isometric exercise device that gives you quantitative feedback on how hard your muscles are working.
I was able to get my hands on their latest Steel Bow model and here's what I've found.

I had a bullworker in high school. I lifted weights after school and then at night I used the bullworker. I made significant gains in strength and size in my biceps and chest while using it in conjunction to weight training.

They can, sorry too disappointi ya, but if used right it will build size and strength, not lou ferric o, size, you need weights for that, but the bull worker will jack ya up.

A lot of people misunderstand the Bullworker .. it's purpose is not to compete with weight lifting. . . .I have used both in my life . . it does make you strong and gives strength in a different way to weights. . . . weights will make you bigger and stronger. . the downside to weights is hours of lifting which leave you exhausted with big showy muscles and sore of which you have to keep adding more weight to achieve a goal . . .to look big . . .there are different ways to use Bullworker . .it does give you strength and stamina .. weights are great for lifting .. Bullworker is great for holding an object for a period of time and makes muscle hard and firm with a lot less effort than straining to lift weights which you will probably not lift in a real life situation. . in what lifetime events would you be lifting heavy weights on a daily basis? None . . .Bullworker does more for sinews and tendons.

I owned the original Steel Bow. It had rust inside even though it was kept indoors. It was difficult to change the springs. The original had fewer and cost around $59 with $14.99 shipping. There were no handles on the cables. It was good but I gave it away. Why? I bought an Iso-Bow.
If you don't need to measure the resistance, get an Iso-Bow They're tiny and ultra portable. Mine cost $9.99 plus shipping when they first came out. I use a 2" X 4" X 14" board for pushing together movements between the arms. It was left over from some project I did years ago. So it was free. For the abdominal muscles I sometimes use an ab wheel when I don't use the board. Mine cost $9.99 plus tax, twenty years ago. For aerobic work I bought a bungee cord mini trampoline for $69 a few years ago. My under $100 exercise equipment does everything a body could need. The only one that will ever wear out and need to be replaced is the mini trampoline.
Today the same items might cost another $30. Still, what I've got is excellent for full body fitness. Some isometric gurus might say it would work for building big muscles too. That isn't my interest. The new Steel Bow costs more than double the price of my fitness items. Good luck with your fitness journey.

So Bullworker combines yielding isometrics (holds at less than 100% max), overcoming isometrics (holds at 100% max) and isotonic (ability to do reps). Do I have that right, Matt?

Thinking about these springs, I can't help but wonder why no one has created something like the iso-chain, but with lighter springs, so the bar actually moves like a barbell.

    • @cmoneytheman
      @cmoneytheman Год назад +2

From watching video looked to be like a medium difference in smoothness and a low recoil last week compared to s2 which I have
Thoughts before retrieving would work my muscles harder then the previous model which i have still
Using the s3 in person the smoothness is a big difference more then the medium I thought it was looking at the video
Even though I have been used to the black spring in the s2 since last year the s3 I have to get used to the first spring agian and working my way up to the last one cause the s3 works my muscles harder i knew that before getting the s3 that I would have to get used to all springs cause my muscles would be worked with no limits
The s3 not only has a small recoil but as I said the smoothness is a big difference from s2
i noticed to that I can stop the spring at any distance and push from there but with the s2 I cant cause it has that bad recoil so which ever point I stop at I usually just pushed from there
The s3 you can feel with each rep the muscles are being worked smoothly with a good amount of pressure even when using the first spring
      Each rep is fully controlled
      Get the s3 its amazing

Its good I never used it but have used the basic iso bow ver the advanced ver your talking on has set resistance
The iso bow which I have but stopped using since your using your own resistance when working out with it you can lose the pressure easy and its so called unlimited since it's your own but its no way to keep constant pressure by using your own strength so the advanced ver is way better cause it can keep it hope I made sense

Nothing that can't be done with a child's soccer ball and a towel. The meter is an advantage, I suppose. These are for people who don't really want to train. A gimmick that people think they need. I started with one of these and reached peak 'newby' gains in about a month but it got me into the habit of regular training at least and I went to weights and calisthenics from there. If you want serious progress with one of these you need to apply diet and gruelling training regimens as with anything else. There is no short cut.

This is mainly for isometrics training which helps build the muscle tendons rather than the muscle itself. This in turn helps lift bigger weights with less risk of injury. Maybe learn what each piece of equipment is for before dismissing it publically.
