    Well as I just managed to get ths Nightmare box, this video was very useful , especially the skin capes and the lightening bolts which frankly at this scale scared me .

    Alternatives for tempest blue?
    This will improve my future Night lord units (right now paint mainly Chaos Legionaries)

      It's a colour match for Kantor Blue, although with highlighting you may be able to get away with any dark blue spray

    looks really cool ive never thoguht about using balthazar instead of retributor on my night lords trim, one thing i do though is instead of a wash of nuln on the armour panels i use drakenhoff and it gets a really nice dark blue when used on the kantor blue.

      Most of the time yes - if it is a larger area or not quite shaken enough it can take two

      Thanks - it's vallejo red texture paste, agrax earthshade wash and then a loght orange dry brush

    It looks amazing, but the thought of painting an army like this is scary!

      Yeah I get that! I'm going to spray the other 5 I have woth Runelord Brass and see if that speeds things up a bit - and son't forget you can always paint the base colours first and keep adding to them :)

    So when you did the highlight of runelord brass on the trim did you paint it on all the flatter areas? Or did you just paint it on the very edges. Kind of hard to tell. Thank you!

      Runelird brass was on most of the trim areas

    Fantastic job on the NL dude. Was your paintbrush the Rosemary and Co size 4? If so did you use for the whole model? I just picked one up and keen to use it on these guys

      I use a series 33 size 1for pretty much everything

      I twist the brush into a point as I take it off the palette 👍🏻

      I haven't painted it yet - if it's the white mask then it will be corax white - soulblight grey - titanium white highlight

    Dumb question but are you glazing the other blue colours? I ask because I just thinned down as usual and my example doesn't have smooth transitions like yours, which I wouldn't expect as I didn't glaze, but I just don't recall you mentioning it explicitly :)

      No I didn't glaze it per se - mayne my paint was a bit thinner so the transitions were a little smoother

      @@ThePaintingCoach thank you. Your tutorial is one of a few where I have specifically bought all the paints because I like the scheme so much. I guess I didn't thin my paints as much as I perhaps thought. Then again I've just contradicted myself because I also use night lords blue not Kantor on this occasion.

      @@Sourlife. I think it's mostly taste. Haven't tried it myself but I can say that Kantor Blue is a good paint.

    You should try liquitex paints they have matches for gw paint like mephiston red and kantor blue, one tube is atleat 30+ pots of gw paint.

    I personally perfer it in the mid stage. Kinda grim dark and simple really suits it well.

    I prime my World Eaters in Retributor armor then fill in the armor panels with Khorne red. Not sure how well the blue would cover gold though (red covers very well).

    *Screams in give me upgrade sprues* Man I hope the wait on the sprues themselves isnt too long, I plan on getting 3-4 or even more of these once they do come out.
