Hi Mechanic Man, you went the vortec route, awesome!! I will hopefully get back to this project soon. Trying to get my Duster finished so I can bring this one in the garage. Good luck with your 68!
Thanks Moparnut62! I believe it is a Ford 9". The parts in the bed are for a bucket T kit my dad picked up. The fiberglass body and frame should be in the storage shed. I do want to build a classic hotrod one day, but am less interested in building this one because it would be titled as a kit car.
LOOOOVE love love the NAME and LOGO! --- Cool Ride but please DO NOT let this CAR take you away from your Duster Project man! This CAR is Cool but a Car like this will swallow a mans Soul in a second flat and most don't come out the other end to tell about it! You are moving and grooving with the Duster keep that flow going then tackle this project your gonna need the Duster to do burnouts in when this thing pisses you off building it lol
Thanks buddy! I thought you would approve. Taking some inspiration from you and Mr. Hyde. 😃 Sorry I missed the Duster part last night. Yeah, wise advice. This could take focus in a hurry. I am going to do as much as I can for the next 2 months on the Duster. Once I get Guapo up here I will do my best to park it so that it does not become a distraction from the Duster.
Hey Full Throttle! Yeah, I am hoping most of the mechanical systems are not too bad. From what I can tell the rust is actually not bad, just a whole lot of cosmetic issues. Either way, time and money, but should be fun!
Awesome, just takes getting er done!!!!
Yes sir! Just fix one thing, then another, then another. 👍
Definitely a Wicked car that deserves a second life. Ambitious! Seeing this makes me Soooo glad I’m out of the project car game.
Thanks Bigfoot!! Yeah, it will be a challenge for sure. At this point in my life I think I am up for it, but projects can get overwhelming for sure.
Keep me posted. I’m doin a 68 el Camino.
1/2 way done with its vortec 350

Looks like a fun project, but better be ready to roll up your sleeves. El Gaupo sounds like a cool name, but gonna be like Mucho Dinero.
