Thank you so much. My 11 year old daughter came down from her room upset because she accidentally broke her screen. I'm in the U.K and the only guy who could fix it in my town was charging £90. So I bought a replacement screen from Amazon and with your help, my daughter got her Switch back and I saved some money.

Yes... it should. We are finding that new digitizers don't like some controllers. so they may need a harder press... or will only work around the edges.
Generally, you know it's damaged if you can see it (like the bail broke off) or if you just cant get the cable in anymore. But, if you have a magnifying glass, you can look into the edge, and see if there are any pins bent. They are fragile, and can be damaged by using too much force, or if you try to put the cable in and it's not straight.

Right. So I'm a little confused with your comment. The video is about changing the LCD and not the digitizer. But, it's showing a safe method of removing the digitizer to get to the LCD. I'm guessing you didn't watch the vid since it's doing exactly what your comment is saying.
I do accept mail-in's. A screen with digitizer would be $75 plus shipping. If the digitizer is good, it will be less, but needless to say, final price will depend on exactly what needs fixed.
The parts are generally $35 for the LCD. With labor, I generally charge $55. If the Digitizer is also bad, then it would just be a parts cost. (another $20)
I may not understand correctly... but I've never seen tearing on an LCD. AND, when there is an issue with that, it is normally caused by the controller chip going bad.

Yes... but you have to be careful as the switch lite's housing is plastic.
Ok sorry to correct you here but the digitizer allows you to have touch but then the lcd is the thing that is glitched so if you can still tap on the screen but the screen is glitched you have to replace the lcd not the digitizer.
Thanks for taking your time to read this i would appreciate it if you replied back to me.
Right. So I'm a little confused with your comment. The video is about changing the LCD and not the digitizer. But, it's showing a safe method of removing the digitizer to get to the LCD. I'm guessing you didn't watch the vid since it's doing exactly what your comment is saying.
Ok sorry 😞 my mistake i kinda fudged up i will try not to make that mistake again.
@@Jamie_idkrlly No Problem. I'm often wrong. LOL
Is there anyway i can send my switch to you and you can fix it for me if so how much will it cost
I do accept mail-in's. A screen with digitizer would be $75 plus shipping. If the digitizer is good, it will be less, but needless to say, final price will depend on exactly what needs fixed.
He seems so annoyed through the repair lol
How much do u think it would cost to get it fixed
The parts are generally $35 for the LCD. With labor, I generally charge $55. If the Digitizer is also bad, then it would just be a parts cost. (another $20)
@@PghGameFix how much would you charge if i send it there bc we don’t have a lot of money and my switch is broken badly 🥺
@@stealth6973 It depends on what is broken exactly. But for the screen, the prices are in the last comment. Plus shipping.
Do you think replacing the screen will do the fix if your Switch has screen tearing?
I may not understand correctly... but I've never seen tearing on an LCD. AND, when there is an issue with that, it is normally caused by the controller chip going bad.
Would this fix it not connecting to the tv
No... probably not. There is a chip that switches to the HDMI.
@@PghGameFix do you know how to fix it as I have a switch that has a damaged screen and it also doesn't connect to the tv
Do we got to get special tools
In the video, you can see all the tools you will need
@@PghGameFix mydad say i need special tools i dont have the tools
I just got my switch back from my mom and I drop my phone on it and it look like urs
Sorry to hear that. But, if you follow the vid, you should be able to change your screen without an issue.
Thank you so much bc I just raged
The screen was broken in my switch
I need this vid cause I accidentally did something to my screen when I raged at my splatoon game :( and plus I'm quite young so this might be a problem wait nvm I have a backup switch
Glad it helped.
Is this a v1 switch or a v2 because I need to fix my v1 switch
That's a v1... but a V2 is the same. The new OLD may be different. I haven't opened one of those yet.
Thank you
Can I contact u on how to do this please in haven trouble
You can send me a message via email or on FaceBook.
I broke it and I throw my controller at it and it was cracked so yeah I this might help
I did the same thing ._.
@@cheeesey3 same
Same…My mother will kill me when if she discovers that I broke it
pleas tell me you can fix mine PLEAS TELL ME YOU CAN
Just depends what's wrong with it. There are a few cases where the CPU or memory go bad.
I really need Nintendo fix
If you can't do it yourself, and you send it into Nintendo... I'm sure they will fix it for you.
I can’t tell my mom because my mom will get mad so yeah
Dont worry about it. I also was scared. I had to hide it. I had anxiety and I was worrying that my mom would yell at me. Until today she was knowing I was hiding something, so she saw the broken screen but she didnt scream at me. "Its not your fault'" she said as i cried then she let the room and I felt better. the anxiety was gone. i felt free. Free from hiding it. so even if you think your parent will yell at you just tell the truth.
@@twinsbarnesfamily9479 I told my mom and told her it was a common thing and that I didn’t hit it or anything and when I get home ima show her this video now I’m just hoping she won’t be pissed when I get home but we have a toolbox at our house and we have a hairdryer we could use. Even if my mom gets mad at me she’ll probably buy me a new switch and I can just sign into the new switch. (Also I wrote a whole ass paragraph😂😂😂)
