This is a tedious repair so please watch the entire video before attempting this yourself. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this repair.
Tedious procedure indeed. So thank you for not fast forwarding your actions so that we can’t keep up with what’s going on and double thank you for not having house music playing like all the other similar videos have. Yours is a perfect video. Perfect speed. Helpful tips and no annoying music. 10/10
I seen another video where the guy uses a sausage shaped microwavable heat pad to get the same results. You can make your own with a sock filled with dry rice or beans and just lay it along the the edges, pry one side slowly and repeat@@cbk12
Thankfully, I got the entire digitizer screen panel replacement so the only thing I need to do is take it apart swap out the entire front panel, put the buttons over and put it back together but this was excruciatingly helpful. I will be saving this video in my archives cause I know I’ll need it again.
thank u, i just bought a lite and the digitizer was scratched as hell so i buy an entire new case and new digitizer from aliexpress and follow ur tutorial and with care and patience i have a like new nintendo switch lite, thanks u again!
I got a switch lite for 80 on Facebook and gonna do a shell swap and change the digitizer thank for the tutorial I’m gonna be 115 all in for a new switch 🙏
I'm going to need to replace my screen, not the LCD. Luckily this video exists taking it slow. Appreciate it man. New subscriber Update: I broke it and now I got nothing I'm pretty depressed
Oof. 😅 I keep prying off the plastic face on my lite and thought it was a screen protector. Good thing i watched your video. I thought i installed a glare inducing screen protector
Thanks for this was wanting to get my yellow lite fix but the local place I found on line has it costing 120$ so I'll just deal with the scratches on it cause it seems really high
Just got a broken switch lite for $20 today. It turns on and works, but looks like the previous owner had some anger issues if you know what I mean. screen is scratched to hell. Looking to buy a third party Extremerate shell and buttons, some Gulikit sticks, and then I plan on replacing the digitizer, then smacking a screen protector on.
No need to detach the speakers from the boards. Honestly removing those connectors from the board might be the worst part of disassembly. Just unscrew the gold speaker screw and gently set the whole assembly to the side.
I'm not sure if I have a screen protected on cause when my mom gave it so me she already set it up and she live in Houston and I don't and my grand parent dont have her number so I can't ask her
Every video I've seen removes the fan and the battery separate. It's great to know that less disassembly is possible! Edit: how do I know if new thermal paste is needed?
@@sodapopjam Well yeah something I always do. I take great care of my things which is a pain because naturally I am so picky about buying used things lol. Say I wanted to buy a used limited edition switch lite. 90% of people don't use screen protectors so I will have to either deal with scratches or do this annoying repair.
@@TheFixTech like I’ve done phone repairs and stuff and I got a switch like with jus a few cracks on the edges and thought it’d be worth it to fix it up myself but gotdamn lol it’s like they purposely made it inconvenient for the common man, even more so lol it’s so excessive smh lol you made a great video, I don’t think I’m gonna try it tho 😂

My 3ds has a fuzzy black tint with rainbow colors on it. When you put it at a certain angle, you can see the regular screen. How can i fix this
What a great video!! Thank you.
What low heat temp did you use. Thx

Hi! What temperature are you using on the heating gun?
Minimum heat, 200 degrees
Awesome job! I'd have to wipe off the fingerprints though 😅
Oof. 😅 I keep prying off the plastic face on my lite and thought it was a screen protector.
Good thing i watched your video.
I thought i installed a glare inducing screen protector
Great!!, any technique without the heat gun?
You can use a blow dryer, any heat source that is not a direct flame work work. You only need to warm the adhesive
My Switch's screen was a little tilted. Do you have any tips on how to glue it so it stays in a good position?
Thabks for this. Attempting a shell and digitiser swap. Wish me luck 😂
Very helpful. Thank you very much for your time and efforts
You are welcome!
I don't have any repair kit do you recommend any on aliexpress for me to order along with the touch screen? I don't have the air blower either.
Thank you so much!!!!
8:01 Nope, wrong. Do the R trigger first, otherwise you might break the rubber button for the R.
This is more detailed video thanks.
You're welcome

10/10 what screw driver do you use?
Link to that tool you used? Automatic screwdriver
mine broke and i replaced it but broke again after only 3 weeks. what do you think is the problem?
What the size of the adhesive tape?
Id rather try to defuse a nuclear bomb than attempt this. I'll buy a new switch f*** it.
this video is great
Great video.
All screw only 00. Answer plz
Hopefully i will fix it😅
Do you know anywhere that would do this for me?
Should i turn of the switch first
My switch not turn on .help. .i fallow this video

Edit: how do I know if new thermal paste is needed?
Attempting this tn ill update:)
edit: tore a giant hole in the LCD kms
Wow this seems more complicated than doing a trace repair. You would think if they made the lens so scratchable it would at least be easy to replace.

I agree, it is definitely more time consuming than the regular switch.

That's way too much hassle 🥲 not worth it if it isn't a special edition. They're cheap AF second hand
