My brick looks like battery acid is leaking inside and 3 of my capacitators is bulge should I still try to replace them

Don’t know why you pulled the battery out. I did this procedure easily with battery still plugged in.

I have a current problem .. similar.. the direction arrows aren't recognised on the controller. O X and ps buttons all ok but after installing a new hdd I can't select OK to run the stick drive with the update pup on it. The controller works fine when paired.

Why can't it be as easy as xbox 360 you just take out the hard drive put it in your new xbox done nope ps3 it has to be difficult what if your ps3 is broken and won't turn on you can't transfer the day smh

i got mine ps3 fat since 2008 , i have ps4 and ps5 , and ps3 still my favourite console , i love the fat model but unfortnally is constently shutting down mid game , i added new capacitors but is still shuts down , not so reguraly but it still, does , so after 16 years i bought a ps3 slim and will transfer all the data from my old buddy to this new model

18:13 is the point I'm stuck at. I'm not able to connect my controller via cable. I've tried other cables, but I only have one controller. My other thought is maybe the bluetooth module. I've tried switching out wifi antennas just to see and nothin. Any thoughts?

I need your help really bad I have a small slim gym PS3 When I hook my controller To the console it will not charge my remote I had BOUGHT A original PS3 cable that didn't work I even bought 2 PS3 controllers on eBay They are doing the same thing. I can even take a block and the cord Plug it into a wall receptacle It still will not charge the remotes. When you plug it up all 4 lights are flashing. When you unplug the cord and push the PS3 button in the middle all 4 lights will flash for awhile but remote will not come on. I have even pushed the reset button on the back of the controller it still will not charge. Now as long as you got the cable plugged into the console and the controller you can play games. I did not play it for a while and I think my Controller went dead. And I cannot seem to get it to charge the controllers. Please I need your help I do not want to have to buy a new console. The video here that I just watched is the same 2 consoles I have I really love the small slim gym PS3. The small slim is the one I have all my games and data in i have checked update and upgrade and everything seems to be update it acts like my console will not charge my remotes.

Thank you! This video walked me through replacing the left joystick assembly for my GamePad. I think it had been worked on before I got it, because I had no problem unplugging the cable from the old one.

Had my Lite since 7/2024....left stick stopped working yesterday.....only play Pokemon Unite on it. Never would have bought this console if I knew it couldn't handle 5-6 hours of use a day on my days off (which is sometimes just 1 day a week) or 1-2 hours on days I work. Wanted to get this so I could play on the road since I travel for work.

The torx fits in the hole, so I just unscrew it to lift the foot out.

The PS2 came to me in a dead state (outwardly), well, it seemed to be working, the reset button was broken (just 2 wires were sticking out), untwisted it, the cable from the power-up board was chewed up, there was half a bucket of dust, well, in general, I cleaned everything, put it in order, turned it on, a couple of times (I closed the reset contacts with a screwdriver, because as I already said, there is no button), and the third time I apparently poked it somewhere in the wrong place, in general The set-top box went out completely, even the red light in standby mode does not light up.

So I got the code but I looked at the port and nothing looks wrong. I haven't touched my switch in a while and plugged in using the Nintendo charging cord and this code showed up. The last time I used it it worked fine and was charging. Is there any other reason this code would show up. It been 2 maybe 3 weeks.

Hey when you fix nintendo switch's do you have to put new parts or replace the same parts

If you’re going to soilder new hardware just do an rgb mod, there should be a way to run the video out an a/v Jack with one of those kits.
