This was really informative not just for my altima but installs for cars in general. Very underappreciated video, the youtube algorithm needs to find your way. Thanks!
This video was a PERFECT tutorial to get me through the job. No problems other than trying to plug in new speaker because I was sold the wrong one by the junkyard.
I would add that you should test your speaker before putting it all back together. I can’t wait to change mine out. It’s crackling big time!! Thank you for your top notch instruction! I’m also having an issue where passenger window won’t roll down, but it’s the driver side button I think is out/rust whatever
Great Vid but just a disclaimer for anyone with a 2010 altima 2.5 S Coupe... The arm rest on the door panel of my coupe can not be removed without breaking the studs holding it on.. It doesn't need to be removed because there are no screws behind it.. There is a thin trim piece on the handle of the door panel that will pop off to give access to 1 screw. Also there is a screw behind the window and door lock control panel once you remove it.. Every vid I have seen is just like this one.. But I found out the hard way that I didn't need to take off the arm rest so if you have a coupe model Please don't remove the arm rest or it will be broken because it isn't made to be removed.
If you're having trouble unplugging the power cables, pop the panel with the window switches off instead, it's just clipped on like the armrest. Much easier access to the cable connectors. When reassembling, put the door panel on first with the cables poking through the hole, then reattach them and clip the panel back in
You do not need to take the whole door panel off you just pop the right side of it. Squeeze your hand in there while you hold up the door panel with bungee so that you can unscrew the speaker over in the right corner. Taking all that stuff office absolutely unnecessary. Best of luck to you all.
(commenting at 8:40 in the video) I didn't see it a lot but try not to use the wires to pull out connectors unless you really need to. Try to grab into the plastic connector itself if possible. It's usually won't hurt unless you tug really hard or too much on on wire/set of wires
They didn't show what speakers are compatible cause 6.5 don't fit .... You need a plastic mount that fits your door or be ready to drill through the metal and stick some screws in

Thank you for making me realize I could do this but I don't want to lol, I think I'll leave this job to the professionals.

+Scott Tucker Jr. We appreciate the feedback. Sometimes there are multiple ways to accomplish the same repair.
I love pulling on the wires when removing the electrical clips. Makes it much easier.

Very helpful thanks. Think you can do a video for 2011 Nissan Altima 2.5 s front dash aftermarket speaker install?

What are the positive and negative wires, the light green or orange?
Did you ever find out which wire is positive or negative
The green is positive.. orange is negative

What size are the speakers
Do all replacement speakers need a bracket?
Just took mine apart cause people from the company I bought my speakers from said mounting bracket’s aren’t needed.. yes they’re definitely needed
What size are the speakers
@@drxgxnnn what kinda bracket and what's it for?
So is the green power?

Assuming it would be the same for a coupe as it is the 4 door sedan.
That's what I'm thinking I have a coupe but I dont know if its the same
@@erickandrade1921 was it the same?
