    Great video. When i replaced my door speakers 5yrs ago i added 1/4 foam tape to the adaptor to minimize any rattles or buzzing.
    I’m actually watching this vid to get a refresher course because i am planning on replacing my door speakers again and adding new 6x9’s.
    Saved for reference.

    I had some 6x5s and 6x9 Kicker speakers and subs installed by a professional in my 2016 Altima SR 4 yrs ago. Stock speakers were trash. Total night and day sound wise. The installer did a great job, and I tipped him well. Wiring wasn't sloppy, no scratches from tools, and the amp was mounted behind the back passenger seat on the drivers side, that had easy access to folding the seat down. I have a 2024 Sentra SR Premium with 8 Bose speakers , and somewhat nervous about getting an amp and sub installed with factory speakers due to so many electronics in the car.

    I will say it makes a world of difference to put sound deadening material in and behind the plastic and on the metal of the car i did that for just my trunk and rear deck tonight because i’m getting new front speakers and it already sounds so much better. Before there was so much rattle in the back i thought my 6x9 speakers were blown but it was just vibration caused by not enough insulation.

    Guess it was too much for Nissan to make easy access soeaker panels instead of having to take half the car apart

      Luckily, it's not a job that needs to be done regularly.

    Can you use the old brackets for door speakers

  • @ChrisG-ph7yf

    The three screws holding in the door lock and handle cables did not need to be removed. The cable ends can be detached and reattached easily. Much less work than unscrewing the whole assembly.

    All you have to do is pop out the cables for the door handle, not the whole assembly.

      The ease of changing parts out seems to take the back burner with some car designers.

    For the rear speakers you could just use some self tappers and make new holes instead of cutting the speaker housing.

    • @mcgurrentertainment
      @mcgurrentertainment  Год назад +4

      It's likely the new holes would overlap with some of the OEM holes. Hints why we didn't need to trim much off the speakers.
