Stryper is the ONLY band from the 80s still putting out great music. Not Bon Jovi, not the Crue, not Priest nor Maiden, not even AcDc. I saw them on tour promoting this album in Edinburgh TX and they are coming back to promote their newest release and I can't wait. Seeing current concert footage from bands like Kiss ( who I love ), Ratt, Def Leppard, Dokken (who is my 2nd favorite band sandwiched by Kiss at 3 and Keel at 1) and even Vince Neil; Stryper blows them all away live. Michael Sweet can still hit those high notes. I was left in awe when he hit that note at the end of the song The Rock. I said WOW! They were awesome!
I regard Stryper as my first love and introduction into metal music, way back in the eighties. I can even pin it down to one song that got me hooked on the entire Soldiers Under Command album. That song is “Battle Hymn of the Republic”. I was Christian then, not anymore now. I still have a weak spot for Stryper though and they’ll always remain my first musical love 💛🖤💛🖤.
Stryper is a great band period. I’m a Metal Head myself. But on the real people love satanic music , death metal , gothic , rap rock but as soon as you say Christian Band people primarily respond negatively. Judge a band by the music not there beliefs.
they are banging their music with ex-Firehouse bassist Perry Richardson, who is doing a damned good job on the music. But definitely, miss the good ole pounding bass of Mr. Tim Gaines.
i think they are using a bit of 'play on words' with the song title. But, i see it as a definition of what we are going through right now, which is GOD DAMN EVIL.

The track Sorry from Stryper's God Damn Evil album is by far my personal favorite. Check it out.
Hopefully you gave a listen to the rest of the album.

sepultura - desperate cry
Hey, buddy, you should do "Cry Thunder" by Dragonforce - the official video! You'll love it! Great video, by the way, and I appreciate your respect.
Go back a few albums and listen to Rock The Hell Out Of You
