    Very helpful Mr. Matt Abrahams. I usually do salestalk in some places and presentation. And something bothering me about my hand gestures. But then you clarify the Dos and Don'ts when speaking. Thank you for that! Godbless!

    Sorry...I strongly disagree with his comment on keeping your hands together near your navel. When your hands are together, your inclination is NOT to gesture. Additionally, when people are nervous, and hello, we are talking about public speaking (so they are going to be nervous), again, the propensity is to keep their hands together. Simply relax your hands to your side until your able to effectively gesture. Finally, Matt's comments about gesturing around the chest area and not staying in that area long. We refer to that type of gesturing as "being small". Your gestures want to be big and above the waist area (as he later mentions).
