What a neat shop. I love learning about LYS's and their stories. When I need yarn, I will always reach out to them first. I just added Around the Table to my my go to list.
Thanks Mark. I learned more from around the table yarns through this video and I’ve been with Beth through the inception. Love this place and the peps ❤
I find your podcast refreshing and creative. You are doing something different which is both informative and entertaining. thanks heaps 😊You are a natural!
Loved this video! So interesting to hear about the shop and so generous of them to offer a discount. You truly are lucky to have access to the community they have created.
This was such a nice, warm and genuine video. I am tuning in from Italy, while sewing a pair of pants. But I love to crochet, and would call myself a crocheter. Sadly I haven't really seen shops like yours around were I life, but it fills me with joy to follow you. Mark, lovely video and Pam and Beth, I absolutely love your energy. Greetings from Italy.
Mark, this interview was so much fun. This LYS is definitely a place that I will check out when I am in the Midwest again. Thank you for sharing. ❤ Now let me go take a peek at what they have to offer…😉
Thank you for highlighting Around the Table! Loved the interview, but also the yarn "summary" of the common and unique yarns they have! From Pittsburgh, so I don't get out there as often as I would like, but love the community there!
I’m only part way through this great video, and have to say I am blessed with a very similar yarn store. It is such a blessing and a joy to knit in community, to know someone has an answer and as was said, we all level up when in that environment. Even I, who is not super experienced, have been able to help others. It is truly a gift to be in such an environment. Finished the video now - great job Mark, thank you for sharing your crafting 2nd home with us. I enjoy you/your channel so much. 🇨🇦
This is also my LYS. I found them soon after they opened. Pam and Beth have created a wonderful community of fiber friends. I’m very lucky to have this shop in walking distance.
This was such a great episode! I feel like I want to go on vacation and spend it at their shop! What a great on line resource as well. Thank you SO much for sharing your local treasure with us!
I have been known to stock up on Scheepjes yarn when I go visit family in Holland. Nice to know that it's available here and I can save precious luggage space for other treasures! This was a great video. What a wonderful local yarn shop! Thanks for introducing it to us.
What a great couple of ladies, thanks Mark for introducing us - a great store! Will order from them, for sure, Im in SC so, ot close, but in this new world , always available. ❤
So excited you filmed this. I am local. I do shop here. The shop is amazing and always so helpful and the yarn selection is awesome. I had no idea about all the other amazing things, especially the community aspect! Would love to meet like minded knitters, crocheters and makers.
Although this store is not the closest to me, I travel to it when I’m able due to the welcoming and lovely atmosphere when I walk in! Pam, Beth, and all of the staff there always greet me when I walk in and they offer help if needed, but allow me to shop unhindered if that’s what I want also. I really just love this store and I can’t wait to come in and expand my sock yarn colors soon. I’m thinking I need to join one of the clubs as well!
My yarn store & Fiber Family 💖. Thanks for another great podcast, and thanks to Pam & Beth for their love, energy and talents (comedy!). Your skills in video production, music, humor and grace all come together in a "product" that is genuine. The outtakes at the end with the "blooming onion" hairdo were perfect.
I love Around the Table. My first experience was during the pandemic, and wanting to support local businesses, I called them. They were doing a KAL for a Joji Locatelli shawl and I said just pick something for me. They were so friendly and the shawl turned out absolutely beautiful. I've visited their store during the Yarn Discovery Tours, met the pooch when he was a puppy, and have really felt welcomed. I don't get there as often as I'd like but even living on the west side of Cleveland, it is an easy store to get to and I highly recommend going! :)
Great tribute. Great video. I wish I still lived in Ohio. Inspirational and I hope others will be inspired as clients and shop owners and maybe potential shop owners….and appreciate how motivated and creative these owners are…..we need more and I go to every yarn store in any area I visit….always gave and always will.
Your LYS is amazing and seems so welcoming. The closest LYS to me is more than 30 minutes away. It's a nice shop, but the few times I've been into the shop I did not feel comfortable or especially welcome. I didn't know there was such a thing as a double sock blank. That is awesome!
I am definitely going to order from Around the Table yarn. My aunt lives in Shaker Heights. I can’t wait to visit in person. I saw so many lovely colors in the video! Happy Knitting 🧶
Hi Mark: Wowza, another awesome podcast! You are so lucky to have an amazing LYS. I had a horrible yarn shop by me that closed during the pandemic. The staff were not very friendly. I bought yarns a couple of times. The last time I bought yarn, I ran into a problem understanding it. So, I asked them and they said they charge for help. They did not even look at the question, but said they charge for help. This was when I was a relatively newbie knitter. Needless to say, I did not pay for the help. It was the last time I patronized that store. I went home and figured it out myself. No wonder they didn’t survive the pandemic, they were not friendly or helpful! Thanks for sharing your wonderful, lovely LYS with us. I will definitely go to their website to check it out. ❤
Enjoyed meeting these lively ladies, Mark. I miss having a local yarn shop and will definitely be keeping their local hand-dyed wool in mind for future projects. Please keep doing these types of podcasts! So very wonderful to meet everyone.
It was so kind of you, and your great friends, to share your local yarn shop. I am very jealous that I do not have one but look forward to "joining" Around the table yarns. Thank you all for all you do.
I love this!! Cleveland is my hometown; born and raised! It left Ohio years & years ago and now live in Jacksonville Florida. Very sadly , the only LYS ( which was more a cross stitch shop that carried a small selection of yarn) in our area closed to in store shopping during Covid. So now other than big box stores, there are no LYS in our area. 😭 I can’t wait to go visit home ( & some of these amazing small shops!) 🧶🧶🧶💖💖💖💖🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸💖💖🧶🧶🧶🧶🌷
Such a good viewpoint. I remember stopping in a yarn shop as I traveled across the state. There was an open knitting group happening and as I perused the yarn, the owner was openly disparaging another customer to the group. I had some small talk about a pattern that she had a display of. She took that as I should buy the pattern from her and got peeved when I said I wasn’t ready at this point. I bought my yarn and left as quickly as I could and haven’t stopped there since.
Gah, Stashables! This must be newer. I need to come shop these! I am always looking for stuff like this for socks and scrappy projects! These would make a stunning Juniper Cowl!
WOW~! I love this place and wished I lived close! Such NICE humans! Definitely sighing up for that email! WELL I ordered the T*T mouse bird kit...and when I went to start an account I HAD ONE! OMGOSH!~ I live in VA & must have discovered them somewhere/sometime before BUT wasn't following them on insta! TY for showing me them again! BRAH I adore your YT!
I’ve just moved back to the Midwest from Berlin where I had a terrific little yarn shop and was missing it. So nice to hear the inspiration for your local store was from a store in Indy, which is not too far from me. I hope to check it out soon! Thanks for this content!! I wonder if you could do more of these? When you travel, maybe find out from a viewer ahead of time what their favorite shop is and visit it? That would be fun.
Wow I would love to visit this yarn shop! Mark, do they ship internationally as you know I am in the UK? What a beautiful store, we sadly have less and less stores like this in the UK, and those we do have seem to be moving away from luxury fibres to more mass market synthetic fibres which I don’t enjoy knitting with. But we do have a lot of online independent companies, but I do miss being able to physically see and feel the yarns and have the option to join social elements of a proper yarn store. Wonderful video, love as always, Pippa xxx
I remember a LSY when I was very young and dabbled in knitting. I was a super newbie and asked her a question about a free pattern I had obtained. Even though I bought the yarn from her, she wasn’t willing to help me problem solve with the pattern, just saying “ that is what u get with free patterns.” Looking back at that, it wouldn’t have taken her much to help me, as it was a baby sweater and not that difficult of a pattern. I don’t think i returned to her store after that, as there were options back then.
I met Beth at River Colors on the other side of town, so I try to get down to visit Around at least once a year. :) They are also pretty close to the rapid and bus stops, if you're local and carless
All my love, but next time remember to send your audio to both sides for your individual asides 😅 I was out here thinking my new buds went and broke. I'm not local, but I'm close enough to take a day trip! I'll have to check them out!
Hey amazing Maker Mark! I wanted to get your take on something that happened in one of my local yarn shops & in another yarn community it was participating in. ❤ So since your so great at being real & tackling the hard topics, what is your take on this below? 🙏 So this happened: I was participating in Hobbii Bingo a few weeks ago and one of the prizes was knitting needles. Then a few people were saying stuff like; crocheters leave the game this needs to be won by a knitter. It was more than one person. Plus, I would have loved to win them and learn to knit too! (I know not ALL knitters feel or act this way, just asking cause of my personal experiences.) Another example, When I first stared crocheting I went to a local yarn shop and the ladies were really nice and helpful. There was a lady, that didn't work there, sitting in the shop knitting. So as I look around the ladies asked me what my craft was, I told them I am a crocheter. Almost instantly the atmosphere in the shop changed. My husband even noticed it 😢. They still answered my questions if I asked a direct question, but no kindness or smiles or offering to tell me about some of the yarn, like they did when I first arrived. I felt so unwelcome that we left and didnt buy anything. It breaks my heart too cause I don't have a lot of people to talk to about crochet. I also wanted to thank you for your real and honest opinions as well as you very tactful and kind ways of tackling so harder topics! Sending love & hugs to you & your sweet hubby! ❤️❤️❤️ The trip videos of the UK were so amazing! We would love to be able to afford going someday! 🎉 Thank you times a million ❤❤❤!!!
Would y'all be interested in opening a shop in Murfreesboro TN? It's outside Nashville, largest growing city now for decades and we don't have a LYS! Please help!
You are so lucky to have such a vibrant and nice LYS. Thanks for sharing.
What a neat shop. I love learning about LYS's and their stories. When I need yarn, I will always reach out to them first. I just added Around the Table to my my go to list.
Loved this episode! You are so very lucky to have such a wonderful yarn store near by! So glad I found your podcast!!

What a beautiful yarn shop! I’m in Colorado, so if I’m ever in Ohio, I’m coming to this shop 😄❤️🧶🧶🧶🧶

Loved this video! So interesting to hear about the shop and so generous of them to offer a discount. You truly are lucky to have access to the community they have created.
I really enjoyed this. Thank you.
I really loved this. Informative, and I always appreciate hearing about what shop owners (and crafters) recommend.
Love LYS tours! None of us can ever make it to stores around the country so it’s so fun to hear and see all about them!
Enjoying your podcasts very much. You're doing something different from the usual formats and it's good!
Guess I'll have to update my westside passport and come visit! 😄
Beautiful store. I enjoyed the interview. A little jealous that I don’t live in Ohio.
Thank you Mark very pleasurable to watch and have to agree with you beautiful yarn store
This is like my local yarn craft store it’s so amazing x
Mark, this interview was so much fun. This LYS is definitely a place that I will check out when I am in the Midwest again.

Such a great vid of your LYS - how lucky you are to have it on your doorstep.

Great video!
Thank you so much, Mark! This was absolutely wonderful!
Thank you for highlighting Around the Table! Loved the interview, but also the yarn "summary" of the common and unique yarns they have!
From Pittsburgh, so I don't get out there as often as I would like, but love the community there!
Yay! Love the lys trip ❤
What a nice surprise to see a new video from you today!
Around the Table Yarns is the BEST! Enjoyed the episode for sure. They’re my not local LYS for sure!

How lucky you are to have such an active LYS. I am envious for sure! I hope to shop online the next time I'm looking to buy for a project...!
I love that they have a shop dog!❤️🇨🇦
I think a shop cat would have been more problematic...
This is also my LYS. I found them soon after they opened. Pam and Beth have created a wonderful community of fiber friends. I’m very lucky to have this shop in walking distance.
Walking distance? Oh man I’d be in trouble! Lol
What a great LYS! I’m new to your podcast, love it, keep going with it!
This was such a great episode! I feel like I want to go on vacation and spend it at their shop! What a great on line resource as well. Thank you SO much for sharing your local treasure with us!
Great video.
We love scheepjes xx
What a fantastic yarn shop. Makes me wish I had one like this near me. Having me a little Shaker Heights envy. 😊
Wow! Great place...maybe I'll move to Ohio...❤

Those Sweet Georgia yarns make a gorgeous display. I don't knit socks but I sure am tempted by those colors. I will make something else, though.
Thanks for another great video. I hope to visit the store during a road trip to Buffalo in August.

We need to work on our failed knitting animals together. I may or may not have given the yarn away 😮
Nice format. Reminds me of Fruity Knitting (that's a compliment)!

Gah, Stashables! This must be newer. I need to come shop these! I am always looking for stuff like this for socks and scrappy projects! These would make a stunning Juniper Cowl!
Another great video! Thank you for sharing!! I love Sweet Georgia! I’m on a yarn diet but one skein won’t hurt right?!

Ohhhh…..I miss such a shop in my town Lier / Antwerp / Belgium. We don’t have any yarnshop and buying online is not the same.😢
Would be nice to have a local yarn store, but I'm grateful for Hobby Lobby, Michael's, JoAnn's, and Walmart.
Susan from Mass Ave Knit Shop is a graduate of Notre Dame! Did you know?
All my love, but next time remember to send your audio to both sides for your individual asides 😅 I was out here thinking my new buds went and broke.

Are you familiar with the podcast called “The knitters are here “ I believe they live in the Ohio area.
I am from India
