To this day, I've only built one Real Grade kit: the God Gundam. I've been very hesitant to get more due to horror stories I've heard about earlier ones, the Zeta especially. I've heard that supposedly the Mk. II and GPO1 Full Burnern are decent, but I'm not sure
@@TheNumberJuan45 I dunno about unicorn though. it's a good kit but, you need more time to fix some of it flaw like for example filling the gap under the shoulder joint. moving the arm up and down, that premade shoulder gonna get the stress mark and eventually break. I think I should make that video to make people understand what I'm talking about.
There are the odd outliers of the early RGs. But I'd still say if you're going in without an informed opinion, the ones post-RG Unicorn will be the safer bets
Okay I'll give it this though the colors for this version of the grand daddy looks really really good but man the fact that these skirt armor parts will just explode if you fiddle around with it too much, The weapon hands will also explode if you try to do more dynamic poses a lot of the time and the lack of certain weapons aside from the typical gundam loadout really makes this feel like it's good for the looks and not much else. Not to mention this version still has a lot of the old real grade issues so hopefully the 2.0 will take the more modern real grade standard and be more stable in comparison but still it's nice to know that this version of the grand daddy exists so once again solid job!
If this kit just had the Tactical Hammer, it'd have something that differentiates it from the normal version. But nope, it's just a right copy and paste. And the early RG issues don't help either. Glad you like the video though
I hear ya on the omission of the Tactical Hammer. That alone would've incentivised basically buying a recolored kit . And in my opinion, if Team Bright had those decals, it would've changed the tone of the whole damn show.
Like @reijigamer said it was only the Zaku-II and RX-78 that got actual kit releases. Everything else was either completely straight built or had simple instructions online for either kitbashes or painting.
Aye Bright Gramps the base kit was already pretty tough to sand with all the small bits now adding easier to nub colors certainly made it harder to work on.
Rg 2.0 rx-78-2 gonna be a great kit. Also, here are two model kits from rg line really needed rg 2.0 is sinanju and zeta gundam why both kits are none notorious being loose and Fragile after the rx-78-2
Oh, my! So you also have this Gunpla kit? COOL! While the kit itself is...well...not so good for beginners, as a collector's item, this is already a gem. Especially since a reissue of this kit is VERY UNLIKELY. (And it's not helping the series in which this one appeared on isn't...really...good as well. 😅)
Even if a reissue of this particular version is unlikely, nothing's stopping people from stealing the paint guide and making it themselves. Especially since there's no exclusive weapon taht makes you question forgoing this kit over the normal 1.0
It's mid at best to me. Hiro was an absolute nutcase that doesn't sincerely take fault for his actions, blames everyone for everything, and then somehow had hints of getting the girl despite the lack of chemistry and gets wins because he's the MC. I personally sympathize more with Takumi since he was the shy guy who had to fill in the large shoes Shota left behind, take the brunt of Hiro's anger, and wrongfully blamed for losing the 78 twice.
While it does have a double peg connection, the pegs are too small while the gap between them is too wide for HG compatibility. Keep in mind that the universal HG standard did not exist/become mainstream until the HGAC Wing Gundam.
honestly, there should've been a master grade version of this kit, not a real grade, cause I own the real grade version, and well, a few parts are loose, like the core fighter's wings, and the shield, and he beam rifle.
If the panels on the MG 3.0 are separated the way the RG's are, then you might just be able to paint it into the Team Bright one. Granted, it's still missing the hammer and tournament weapons, but still
The RG 2.0 is gonna be released this weekend, so Im looking forward to your review
Don't get your hopes up on my order being filled. We all know what HLJ is like
for a second there I thought you got the 2.0 already. the color look good on this one.
Yeah, I'd say it's characterful. But still I'm disappointed over the lack of the hammer

I would suggest going from unicorn Gundam forward tho the astrays and tallgeeseare still good kits

I still have to finish RG God myself. Wasn't a fan of the RG Unicorns.

That screams All Might color scheme I can't unsee.
Still missing the yellow hands, but I can see what you mean
Yeah I’m going to pick the new Ver 2.0 RG one and do my own custom color to it.
That's arguably the better choice overall, even if the looks aren't 100% for everyone
Never thought the classic colour will have better presentation than this one
To each their own. Gotta keep in mind that the paint scheme was concocted by outsiders of the hobby in lore
I hear ya on the omission of the Tactical Hammer. That alone would've incentivised basically buying a recolored kit .

I didn't know GBR has model kits.
I only knew they made a guide of kitbashing the RG Unicorn and Banshee.
there are only 2: this one and the Zaku
Like @reijigamer said it was only the Zaku-II and RX-78 that got actual kit releases. Everything else was either completely straight built or had simple instructions online for either kitbashes or painting.
They had 2 kits and the 7 manuals on their site
Aye Bright Gramps the base kit was already pretty tough to sand with all the small bits now adding easier to nub colors certainly made it harder to work on.
It is rather ridiculous to put bright colors on a kit that is hard to build and tough to clean up
Rg 2.0 rx-78-2 gonna be a great kit. Also, here are two model kits from rg line really needed rg 2.0 is sinanju and zeta gundam why both kits are none notorious being loose and Fragile after the rx-78-2
The looks might beg to differ, but mechanically the 2.0 is leaps and bounds above this one right here
More colors make it more interesting, I like this version.
Glad you like it
A nice decision to review the Nanahachi as the representation of the original RG RX-78 1.0.
It's my bottom line, as I don't want multiple different kits of the same design. This has its own identity, as shallow as it was.
The calibarns broom 6:16
They do look strikingly similar don't they?
RG Grandpa 2.0 coming out this weekend! I'm interested if they will make a RG Zaku 2.0
Not gonna get my hopes up. Neither for HLJ filling my order, nor for Bandai to take the RG 2.0 route long-term
Oh, my! So you also have this Gunpla kit? COOL!

This Will be good for comparison with the RG 2.0 Gundam with it 😉
Which is why I chose to release the video the time it did
I believe next Kit RG 2.0 is Zaku 2 Char Aznable Ver 2.0
That'll be years in the future if it does ever happen
Wow this came out of nowhere.
Topical, that's why it came out now
Gundam Build Real was pretty good imo.
Random question, I heard that rg backpack is using same double peg adapter like what normal hg, is it true?
While it does have a double peg connection, the pegs are too small while the gap between them is too wide for HG compatibility. Keep in mind that the universal HG standard did not exist/become mainstream until the HGAC Wing Gundam.
Menjelang RG mini PG pada 10 Agustus (Gundam 2.0)
Yeah, that's why I released this video at the time that it went up
How much of the armour is supplied on the blue runners? Could you make a full blue 78?
Sadly not. You don't get blue duplicates of the D1/E1 runners for parts like the head and shield
Wonder if team bright used the 2.0 as it came, how would it go hmm
The exact same, as Build Real didn't take product quality into account
How to fix loose skirt armor for rg RX78 gundam??
Thicken the ball-joints with glue or matte topcoat, and glue down the armor panels
@@mj2005gundam thank you
hey gunpla is freedom
It sure is.
Would the RG V2 RX-78-2 can handle the supposedly weapons?
I mean, they HAVE to have addressed the weapon gripping issue given their active avoidance of the articulate finger hands since RG Unicorn
honestly, there should've been a master grade version of this kit, not a real grade, cause I own the real grade version, and well, a few parts are loose, like the core fighter's wings, and the shield, and he beam rifle.
Well you’re in luck, because the MG 3.0 is the exact same design, but bigger and much more stable
@@williamsusanto8082 well, I happen to have the 3.0, and I see your point.
If the panels on the MG 3.0 are separated the way the RG's are, then you might just be able to paint it into the Team Bright one. Granted, it's still missing the hammer and tournament weapons, but still
@@mj2005gundam now that you mention it, it is missing the gundam hammer and beam javelin.
Its just me or this RG 2.0 is kinda weird?
Because of its PGU aesthetics. I personally grew off of it
This kit color looks so weird.
It was designed by outsiders of the hobby in canon, that's probably why
Impressive likes, love and care for you awe
