    Thanks so much .. I bled my radiators then got in the shower !!! No hot water ... you have saved me . The F22 fault has been solved. Amazing as I am a 58 year old female with no tech knowledge at all ! Getting back in the shower now!

    Thank you so much Mark for perfectly demonstrating and clearly explaining. As a single 60 plus female, your videos are exactly what I needed after having a new Vaillant ecofit 830 boiler installed a year ago. I have already confidently adjusted my hot water and radiator temperatures and can repressurize the boiler when needed. Again with confidence! I've now subscribed to your channel and will happily make a financial contribution 😊.

    Thank You, thank you, thank you 💖 I'm clueless when it comes to boilers. My previous one was simplified. I have a Vaillant Eco Plus now. It is so much easier to get around, thanks to you and your easy to follow instructions. My main concern was the bar (water pressure), and it was lower than I thought. After watching your video, I thought, "I can do that!" And so I did. Thank you so much.

    Thank you for this video. It's so well explained and covers exactly the points that I needed. I've just bled a radiator, which brought the pressure down to 1.1 but I couldn't work out from the manual what to do. You've helped me to get the pressure back up to 1.6 and I've also changed both radiator temp and water temp by a couple of degrees. Thanks for the help!

    Really helpful video. I had a new Vailant combi installed back in the summer, but had no idea how to drive the menus, and I'm an engineer! Who knew that the gate icon was supposed to represent a radiator, or that the rad temperature could be adjusted. It all makes great sense now - thank you so much for this, and for your other video explaining leaks and the need to re-pressurise the system ocasionally.

    If you have an electronic timer you have comfort or program mode. In comfort mode it allows the room stat to control when the heati g comes on. If you use programme mode you have to set each days time to come on. Well if you can predict days when you want the heating on thats fine. So if you want to save energy you needcomfort on.

    You have helped demystify some elements of my boiler for me in this video and hopefully it will also save me some money long term (by reducing my hot water temperature/the amount of cold water I use... and save my fingers from being scorched and then reaching for the cold tap).

    Super - nicely explained with additional information (ideal temperatures & topping up, which is what I was looking for).😃
    From some previous googling, I thought I the highest temperature for efficiency was 55 because it meant it was condensing most efficiently. I am going to look around and try to understand this aspect better (perhaps a video from you in the future about this would be a good entry in you collection) 🤨

I've gone to place the heating to on (I'm a cold person) turned up the Honeywell thermostat and the heating symbol and flame haven't appeared in the screen like in your video at 3:47. No sound to say the boiler is on. Is there anything I can check before I have to call someone out please? I've turned it on and off and tried again but still nothing, they didn't really show me how to use it properly or leave a user guide which is why I searched for your video. The boiler is just like the one in the video with the turning 24hr clock (Baffled why the whole thing isn't digital)

    hi
    i need your advice
    my ecofit pure only heats the hotwater for taps via the centrel heating
    if i turn of the heating (summer mode) even with the hot water temp set (50+ degrees) the boiler wont turn on to heat water either manually or via (old)honeywell control program , it wil only turn on to heat water when the radiator temp is set and then the radiator symbol flashes when it turns on
    i also dont have that comfy option when i press the hotwater settings
    is my boiler faulty?

The pre-set temperature was set 75 C, I've lowered it to 65 C for hot water and radiator just save a bit of gas and see if it helps the efficiency. I don't want to really go below 60 C that may create harmful Legion's bacteria in the cylinder tank. Can you tell me this is ok? Thanks

    I’ve put mine in for the first time today so on the boiler my radiator setting is set at 45 given we are in today’s climate and prices are sky high. My thermostat on the wall in my hallway is set at 15. Why can we just not have 1 setting to warm up our homes. I’m a little confused as to why the boiler has its own radiator setting and then there is another setting on the wall in the hallway. I’m just watching my boiler temperature for my radiator. I have it set on 45 as I’ve mentioned but yet I have the radiator symbol flashing and it says 48 is this temperature going up because I have my water on the boiler set at 50 and it’s getting upto the 50 before it switches off, it’s hit 50 and now I have a flashing sand timer ⏳ flashing and my temperature has gone from 50 down to 42 and is dropping but my boiler is still making a noise it’s as tho is still operating it’s now on 41

    Excellent helpful video thanks you. I will check the comfort setting and temperature settings as you explained. My problem is the pressure keep going up to about 3.8 bar and then next day after the heating has been off all night it has only dropped down to 3.1 bar when cold
    I bleed a radiator and got the pressure down to 1.6bar then after the heating was used, it done the same again🙈 any idea what would cause this?
    I already had the service done and the plumber is useless, doesn’t seem to check anything and actually left us with a leaking magma filter which has now been replaced with a new one, which I believe was the fault of the plumber doing it up too tight🙉🙈 what a nightmare I’m having with this plumber,
    Please help

    • @danimayb
      @danimayb 2 года назад +1

      Pressure will always rise a bit and drop during the boilers operation, But should settle back to what it was set at. (Should be 1.5, or 1 at the very minimum). First, Make sure your pressure/filler tap is fully closed and you can't hear any movement of water coming from it in the pipe (If it is closed but still sending water in, Then plumber time). If you have a filter you can drain water from there, If not, the radiator is the only option as you did. If the pressure tap is fine and after draining water but still the pressure keeps rising as high as you say, Then you could have a problem with the expansion vessel inside the boiler which will need servicing - Either needs pumping up, Or it's too small for the job, Or is faulty. One other possibility is the pressure gauge is faulty, You never know just throwing that in there.

    • @foufdog
      @foufdog 2 года назад

      @@danimayb thanks for the reply. The expansion vessel was checked on the service 2 weeks ago and apparently it's ok. The filling loop is definitely not leaking as I just took that off the mains tap end to check the valves were not letting water past.
      Someone else said it might be a pin hole in the heat exchanger!
      I have dropped the pressure to 1 bar again with the system cold. Then turned the heating on, it went straight to 1.4bar with central heating on then was at 1.7bar when turned off after an hour or so.
      Next morning after being off all night from cold it was 1.8bar. so basically it is never returning down to original set pressure. Always slowly rising!
      I will call Valliant today as it's still under original warranty 😬 hopefully they can have a look.

    Is there any way to turn off Frost protection? It's a nuisance because my boiler regularly drops to 12 degrees and then the pump kicks in for an hour! This happens regularly when there is no chance of frost
