A month ago tomorrow I was diagnosed with a thyroid storm. I’d been sick for many months and then finally all hell broke lose. My blood pressure was 220/100 my heart rate was 150. I was sweating horribly bad I was shaking as if I was having a seizure. I was admitted to a smallish hospital but was then transferred to a large teaching hospital. I was VERY VERY SICK !! I have Graves’ disease and hyperthyroidism. I’m still very very exhausted. If we can get my thyroid hormones regulated I will have a complete thyroidectomy in a few weeks as I’m chocking on everything I go to eat because of numerous nodules.
