    No one wants to admit that genes play a huge role in hair growth, texture, density etc.

    • @keshahunt1476
      @keshahunt1476 5 лет назад +343

      True..but taking care of your hair and keeping it moisturize and free of breakage and split ends also helps hair grow, just like nails when I use oils on my nails they grow very long but when I don't use it my nails they are down to the bone LOL and same thing with my hair once I started using oils and keeping it moisturize my hair is growing longer..so when your genes not popping you can use other methods to get results

    • @LBay-ko9jf
      @LBay-ko9jf 5 лет назад +57

      Kesha Hunt yes but all hair is growing even at a slower rate so hair can continue to be of a longer length even through genes

      @@keshahunt1476 A looser curl pattern means less tangles and less breakage. I have a very tight and small curl pattern. I call them pen springs because they are the size of the spring that comes in a pen. A thicker strand of hair means more strength and less breakage than a finer strand of hair. My hair strands are finer than a strand of synthetic hair or the human hair that is used for wigs. High porosity means more moisture loss and dryness which leads to more breakage than low porosity hair.

    Key to growing long healthy hair is:
    Prayers, healthy diet, clear product free scalp, products will block your pores and minimise your hair growth. Moisturise hair with your favourite hair oil, protective styling and less hair manipulation.
    I have 4c hair and started growing it 4 yrs ago from a twa to almost waist length mow. My only product, coconut oil and water. I use any shampoo and conditioner. I keep my hair well Moisturised with water and oil and keep it in protective styling. This works plus it's unexpensive too.

      Hello, I was looking to purchase the products you used in your hair growth video. Did I miss something? When I paused the video on the product it looked to me 1product (shea moisture) may have been shown 2 times? Were there 2 different shea moisture products or was the shea moisture 1, and the quench was the other? Thank you!

    1. Wash hair or more accurately scalp once a week.
    2. Deep condition with heat for an hour.
    3. Remoisturize and massage scalp every other day.
    4. Don't abuse heat with blow drying.
    5. Leave your hair alone.
    Remember hair always grows regardless of genetic profile. What you want is retention. Moizturization allows for elasticity and retention of the growth.

      If a person with type 4 hair tries to detangle their hair like a type 3 hair person, they will experience breakage. If a person with type 3 hair uses the super moisturising and heavy products as a type 4 hair person, they may experience build up and weighed down hair. You need to know your curl pattern, your porosity and how thick or thin your individual strands are. The density determines which styles will look good and how much product you need to cover your entire head and how much hair will shed and intertwine. So I have type 4c fine high porosity strands with thick density. Those 4 factor determine how much length you retain or how prone to breakage your hair is, which products to use and how much moisture and/or protein your hair needs. A side note, you need to treat your scalp differently from your hair.
