    I keep getting a few comments asking if I really grew my hair in 8 months.....YES, I did. I’m not going to put up a video lying on my channel. The photos in the thumbnail are actually LESS than 8 months apart. I really grew my hair in about 7 and a half months.
    Some people’s hair can grow pretty fast, and in this video I explain what worked for me. If you look at my previous videos, you’ll see how short my hair was compared to now. Thanks.

      Mailordina Osei Owusu hello. I personally have not experienced that yet. I’ve taken these vitamins for quite some time over the years. I think it also has a lot to do with keeping a consistent diet as well and drinking water. So for me personally, no I have not experienced those effects even when I don’t take them for months. Hope this helps.

      As far as hair goes, genetics are a part of it, not the only part. Genetics arent going to condition your hair and use a good regiment to care for the hair you have to make it or keep it strong. Your hair can be long but still unhealthy. You still have to do your part to take care of your hair.

      @Cherish Washington im a male with a tapered cut with hair on the sides and back cut which I'm trying to also grow out so I'm in the same boat as you, if the bit that did get cut off is still long enough to braid then cornrow that bit whilst using jamaican black castor oil to even it out it can take long though depending on your hair length it varies could take even 10 months. If you cant braid the bit that's cut and you're trying to grow it out still it'd look weird so I'd suggest you wear a weave whilst you take care off your undercut with moisturisation and oil

    Most natural hair products have water as the first ingredient, so I do believe you can use them in place of water especially if you don’t want the shrinking affect of water by itself. And tbh water is more hydrating then it is moisturizing. U know this because water by itself does not leave the hair feeling moisturizing once it dries. I tend to shy away from using too much water often because it tends to dry my hair out.

    • @Teedimps1598
      @Teedimps1598 5 лет назад +4

      I agree on this...i use water but i gotta follow up with a moisturizer..cos water would just shrink my hair and once it dries i would have to wet my hair again??

    • @denyshadials5702
      @denyshadials5702 5 лет назад +5

      Naru Summer 卌
      Yes. Everyday. If you were to soak your hair (4c or otherwise) in water everyday for just a week, then you’ll notice a dramatic difference.
      I don’t think people realize just how much water dry hair types actually need. So we water it as little as anyone else expecting it to stay moisturized for a long period of time-when your hair is dry it’s telling you it needs water. Listen to it.

    • @Teedimps1598
      @Teedimps1598 5 лет назад +1

      @@denyshadials5702 but to be wetting your head every time...i already have sinus issues. To have a wet/damp head all the time i wouldnt like that. And to wet my styled hair...yea no. Maybe a refreshing spray but not straight on water.

    • @denyshadials5702
      @denyshadials5702 5 лет назад +2

      Naru Summer 卌
      I wear my natural coils 90% of the time. All the extra styling to combat shrinkage is pointless if I’m wetting everyday or every other day. A refresher spray wouldn’t cut it and would dry out in a matter of hours.
      What convinced me was watching a 4c youtuber called Hallease try the experiment a few years ago before locking her hair. First she tried for week, then a month and she liked so much she ended up doing it for a year. She learned a lot about her hair and how to make work for her daily routine.
      To each her own though.

      Sarah Onibokun MOISTURE & patience. I’m no hair guru but from experience I grew my for a whole school year back in 2015-2016 (my senior year) just by playing in it but I was using different moisturizers and leave ins because I loved how my hair looked juicy when I would do different things to it BUT not all products did what I liked so once I found out about Cantu I would basically co-washliterally like once a week for a month or whenever I felt I needed a wash (shampoo if i felt it was dirty but that was rare) I would let the conditioner sit in my hair while I washed up, after washing up I would use a wide tooth comb and comb out my hair from ends to root and then I would rinse it out and hop out the shower. I would use a t-shirt to soak up enough water but not too much cause water is good for your hair but ONLY YOU WILL KNOW HOW MUCH IS GOOD FOR YOUR HAIR (so basically have damp hair) I would get enough leave in for my hair and re-detangle it but in an upward position into a loose but tight ponytail just so whatever I was using held all of my hair, once I did that I would go over my hair with my gel and denman brush (whatever brush will lay your hair down but make sure it’s not too hard because the bristles will pull your hair) I would brush it up so it comes out smoother and fix it up until I was satisfied with how laid my hair was but I would wrap a scarf around cause it came out sleek girl! I was also using olive oil in my hair every once in a while, I tried the mayo and egg hair mask 😂 I was doing a lot with my hair not knowing the outcome but I did notice that my hair loved moisture and I grew my hair from shoulder length to bra strap length but last year December 16 I did a big chop so now I’m learning new things 🤗

      There’s a lot that goes into hair and why and how it grows. Genetics, diet, products, and styling all can play a part. Although I discussed how I grew my hair quickly in 8 months, it definitely was due to trial and error and figuring out what works for me!

When u do the leave in conditioning do u also do steam at that time or no?
