"Give back from a point of love and not obligation." 📍🙌
The Fact that this Ted Talk hasn't gone Viral leaves me guessing about the type of society we live in.. this was brilliantly outlined. Thanks Lyapa
Let's pass on WEALTH and not BURDENS. 🙏🏿🙌🏿
One day I will speak on this platform. Mark this comment!
I've recently decided to cut off My family. For the last 10 years I've been supporting my parents to the point that I can no longer take care of myself and child. Enough is enough.
It takes courage to talk about such a topic. Bravo Lyapa. I loved every sentence in your presentation. Keep soaring.
These are conversations that should be had both casually and seriously and often. This topic is so real and is part of our daily lives. So well thought of and put, cannot thank you enough Lyapa Mbewe and I hope this goes viral someday.
Its time we start having these conversations. Perfect timing👏 great presentation.
Africans especially need to change our mentalities.
I am forever thankful to my mom. She is building generational wealth. She wants to leave me an inheritance. So my parents almost fully payed their mortgage.
This is equally my submission. Its time to change the narrative
The people who'll unlike this are the parents you're talking about😂😂😂
I'm even checking who wouldn't like this
Yes please
True...

Where can one find out what percentage of federal income taxes each race pays?
Wow just wow...this was insightful ♥️

Right out of my mind
What a sad thought on the marriage. The newly married couple should really be given a chance to build for their own family and build wealth for the kids...One mother-in-law claimed the son was her hubby on the wedding. You could see this centred on the money she used to get. To transfer the burden of her husband to the son is quite sad. Even went on to talk about how hard she schooled the child - high school education that is. But she was simply filling her duty. She wanted a child after all.
Stoning?
What kind of family could even think such barbarism???
Reproductive strategy is the problem. R is the African culture, many kids, big wealth. K is the European and Asian culture, nurture your kids and they will reciprocate. Far better for them, for you and for the community.
It was figuratively speaking. As in stoning with words.
@@Traveler-rf8ye No, sadly, this is an actual stoning, not drugs either.
The relatability of this tedtalk eeish🤦
Let's change the narrative
An interesting presentation, eloquently articulated but so devoid of substance, exhibiting a myopic view of the subject at hand. Sometimes, when making such presentations it is good to take the audience through a journey without hurrying... Take into consideration the context!
There is an aspect of Te too don't forget. She is only given certain time to convey her message. I feel the speed and everything was top notch
It's a ted talk duhhhhh....
