    I'm a driver for Old Dominion Freight Line out of Rialto CA, the next city over from Fontana. Heard from a city driver that we picked up 2 truckloads worth of daily freight from an account formally belonging to Tony's.
    In this freight market only the strong survive. It's disheartening to hear so many people in my area lost their jobs this way 😔

    German in Venice just put out a video of all of the shops empty in Beverly Hills. Many channels have showed lots of big cities with mass closures. Empty highrise buildings selling cheap in los ANGELES CA. They can't even sell cars in the US and repos are through the roof. People warned that all of that free money handed out a couple years ago would have severe consequences and there is millions of people who haven't paid rent in 2 years are getting evicted.
    I sure like on the ground reporting.

    I'm ready. I protested I had 3 out of adjustment breaks and a small air leak. 900$ worth of "fightable" tickets. I held up London scales until 2pm yesterday. Its time they realize we stop hauling because of this or we all have to grow gardens again. If the banks stop banking we need cash and our guns back to protect it. Times are tough for companies let alone employees. 1900$ worth of tickets in 2 days. 3 mortgage payments. This isnt a joke now. Im almost done with this. Because i work im subject to being fined to keep the economy going. Its entrapment im entrapped because i work, because Trudeau cant make a business deal to save canada in 8 years. Its pathetic. Why not a warning and we avoid tying up the system. If we dont comply with the infraction wih in so many days we then are subject to fines. Its pathetic. I did ed-yellowknike to Ontario with a trailer that just came from mechanics lights are out regulater in the back was jamming up. Things happen. But we hit the scales and they act like they win the lottery. Imagine they find out im adjusting breaks. With all this pressure on us it's only a matter of time now. In my opinion.

    • @TylerBexson
      @TylerBexson Месяц назад +2

      I was the driver at London scales protesting. I tied a string to my air horn and waved my flag. I feel I'm ready. I saved thousands of trucks thousands in tickets. Cops came and gave me a warning to stop because they didn't want to open the scales with me protesting. Great, once the mechanic was done, I left. But the dots had me out of service, so I couldn't break the law and leave. The cops just left. Called me a troublemaker. I'm OK with that. We haul their groceries. They can go away and the world will be better we can drive over a scale and it sends a signal and weight boom tickets sent to the office.. No dot involved. If we stop hauling they go away. It's plain and simple. The people will raise up against the government and that's one way of stopping this problem. Other way is the rcmp arrest the politicians and bankers and we go back to reality. In my opinion.

      And it’s someone else’s fault because you’re equipment is defective. If you can’t afford or don’t care to keep equipment safe it’s time to retire.

    • @TylerBexson
      @TylerBexson Месяц назад

      @claytonandrews251 no. It's just I put 7000 km on and things happen. Break allowance checks arnt in our pretrip. Small leaks are except able if my air doesn't drop in how much in how many minutes? So legally I was good but then they pulled me out of service because April 1st regulations changed again so no warnings anymore. Straight to fines or your time in court.
      How is that my fault? It just happens happens to new trucks. We don't need dot on the roads. We just need better training. Sure ill set my breaks every day but if something happens I'm not responsible because I'm not a mechanic, right?
      Day before I was called in by a concerned citizen but no big deal It was fine but then turned into a 3 hour inspection out side of barrie holding up traffic. All I had was a flat tire. Odd this all happened but I'm still I'm disbelief people think this will end without a change.

    • @TylerBexson
      @TylerBexson Месяц назад

      @claytonandrews251 it costed 200 extra for the call out I was 16 km from the tire shop. The next day I could have went to the mechanic for the minor defects the inspector the day before didn't catch. So yeah. Over 2400$ for things that happen. Not me or the equipment maintenance. Wow. You truck much?

    • @TylerBexson
      @TylerBexson Месяц назад

      @claytonandrews251 I'm not even upset. Just some people don't get we go over thousands of bumps we apply the breaks hundreds of times a day. Lights go out. We have tones of problems but now we are subjected to be fined for minor things. To keep the economy going. Like I said entrapped to be fined for profit for the government. We conform to the new policies they fine us for then the make more and more. I don't really need to haul groceries to people anymore that cut me off and raise my taxes. I really don't necessarily need to do this I just like driving. But now I lost how much for me and the company. Let's just see how Toronto area takes these blitzes when people start speaking out.

    This is just the beginning! The Great Blood Bath is coming! More and more reminds me of the economic bubble burst of 2008when drivers could barely get 1 load every week 1/2 it was so bad that all the truck stops were full for weeks at a time! no one was moving and companies were shutting down in every direction! Well it's coming back again but this time in version 2.0! Those bottom feeders from overseas brokers and dispatchers are taking over the fallen American companies and shippers are at fault! Yes I blame the shippers on this! They are the reason the economy is taking a dive! How could you betray a company that had hauled freight for you for for decades just because an Indian company offered you a ridiculous low price! What about the Track record of the new comer? What about customer service when problems arise? What about English language fluidity? What about liability? Wheres the familiarity of the area? How about good customer relations? All of this goes out of the window for that ridiculous low freight price! Sure for a little while they will enjoy the savings but quality handling control will be almost none existent and preventable accidents will increase in a short amount of time.

      ITs the system not just Joe, years of company lobbying and corruption along with these dam ghost companies have left the financial burden on the working class tax payers. Just like any great country corruption eventually leads to decline.
