Can't compete with indentured servants working for 10 cents a mile. Just like you can't compete with subsidized rail road.
10 cents is a stretch
I'd love to see truckers team up and shut down for a week.
This shit is nonstop.
You mix in a stolen election, there u go
never gonna happen
Sounds good! Most people don’t have enough money saved for 2 months to be able to take off a week, we need to shut down for 2 week’s minimum
Companies go under everyday nothing new here.
Wouldn't that be lovely
I'm a driver for Old Dominion Freight Line out of Rialto CA, the next city over from Fontana. Heard from a city driver that we picked up 2 truckloads worth of daily freight from an account formally belonging to Tony's.
In this freight market only the strong survive. It's disheartening to hear so many people in my area lost their jobs this way 😔
When are they moving to Fontana
@@rickybobby7994 I don't know about the opening date but afaik the new Fontana terminal will be a smaller satellite terminal primarily operating P&D, not a hub terminal like Rialto that has a large linehaul operation. It wouldn't make sense to replace Rialto entirely when they just expanded the Rialto yard months ago.
@@oreojsn92 bro have you seen the Fontana one on arrow! It’s a really big!!!
Definitely disheartening
German in Venice just put out a video of all of the shops empty in Beverly Hills. Many channels have showed lots of big cities with mass closures. Empty highrise buildings selling cheap in los ANGELES CA. They can't even sell cars in the US and repos are through the roof. People warned that all of that free money handed out a couple years ago would have severe consequences and there is millions of people who haven't paid rent in 2 years are getting evicted.
I sure like on the ground reporting.
Wow....
This recently happened at my company. It's now downsized to about a dozen trucks and a few more trailers and like 70 people lost their jobs... I had to give up my lease since I was doing it through them, but luckily I did get my deposit and estrow back. Luckily I still have a job but even I'm getting worried...
News like this does make me very sad
@@NorthAmerican-Trucking-News I helped this company grow into what it was a month ago. Seven years last month... Now the downsizing, drivers not getting paid on time, the terminations... In all honesty I need to find another company because I was gone for two weeks on vacation when everything went down. Luckily my Dac and fmcsa are good moe it's all about waiting to hear back.
this could be just the start of things to come
I'm inclined to agree!
Ronan thank you I watch all you videos. Great information and education you provide to us. Many of these companies don't care . Maybe constantly watch the money and adjust finances to keep companies going. Owners hide money spend like crazy. They just don't give a damm. Be safe everyone all the best.
Thanks for watching!
Keep hauling loads at $1.50 or less a mile
I shiver just imagining that...
I work for Big Freigjt. We got bought by Trans Force just Christmas.
Oh?
Yup, they bought the Daske group which is Big Frieght, Kelsey, SPD, Boyd Brothers, Wylie, Central Oregon, TSH, and a few more. For 1,1 billion
This is great info
I quit driving and for 4 weeks did massages , gym and stretch my body, now I feel like 20 years old, I would never ever have any driving jobs
same reason i quit, going back to school to be an aircraft tech, i want to have a life and functional body, and a stable pay check.
i did petroleum tanker work,my truck,my company for 46 years, drove most days--one other driver, made net 150 to 200 net every year--retired a millionaire--was home every night 27 out of 30 days of driving-there are always good opps out there- don't be doing what everybody else is doing--square trailers suck--i kept active, fit, never smoked or hardly drink, ate the right food, snow, water skier, tennis, hiking in sierras all the time---always had low or no debt--debt will kill you
@@mtsky-tc6uw that's is true some more unique trucking jobs are great if you can get in one. But nowadays alot of companies are closing left and right and trucking is turbulent.
I just worried about being stuck in it as an old man not having a chance to learn another trade that may make my living better.
Might have been the right move to make
I'm ready. I protested I had 3 out of adjustment breaks and a small air leak. 900$ worth of "fightable" tickets. I held up London scales until 2pm yesterday. Its time they realize we stop hauling because of this or we all have to grow gardens again. If the banks stop banking we need cash and our guns back to protect it. Times are tough for companies let alone employees. 1900$ worth of tickets in 2 days. 3 mortgage payments. This isnt a joke now. Im almost done with this. Because i work im subject to being fined to keep the economy going. Its entrapment im entrapped because i work, because Trudeau cant make a business deal to save canada in 8 years. Its pathetic. Why not a warning and we avoid tying up the system. If we dont comply with the infraction wih in so many days we then are subject to fines. Its pathetic. I did ed-yellowknike to Ontario with a trailer that just came from mechanics lights are out regulater in the back was jamming up. Things happen. But we hit the scales and they act like they win the lottery. Imagine they find out im adjusting breaks. With all this pressure on us it's only a matter of time now. In my opinion.
I was the driver at London scales protesting. I tied a string to my air horn and waved my flag. I feel I'm ready. I saved thousands of trucks thousands in tickets. Cops came and gave me a warning to stop because they didn't want to open the scales with me protesting. Great, once the mechanic was done, I left. But the dots had me out of service, so I couldn't break the law and leave. The cops just left. Called me a troublemaker. I'm OK with that. We haul their groceries. They can go away and the world will be better we can drive over a scale and it sends a signal and weight boom tickets sent to the office.. No dot involved. If we stop hauling they go away. It's plain and simple. The people will raise up against the government and that's one way of stopping this problem. Other way is the rcmp arrest the politicians and bankers and we go back to reality. In my opinion.
And it’s someone else’s fault because you’re equipment is defective. If you can’t afford or don’t care to keep equipment safe it’s time to retire.
@claytonandrews251 no. It's just I put 7000 km on and things happen. Break allowance checks arnt in our pretrip. Small leaks are except able if my air doesn't drop in how much in how many minutes? So legally I was good but then they pulled me out of service because April 1st regulations changed again so no warnings anymore. Straight to fines or your time in court.
How is that my fault? It just happens happens to new trucks. We don't need dot on the roads. We just need better training. Sure ill set my breaks every day but if something happens I'm not responsible because I'm not a mechanic, right?
Day before I was called in by a concerned citizen but no big deal It was fine but then turned into a 3 hour inspection out side of barrie holding up traffic. All I had was a flat tire. Odd this all happened but I'm still I'm disbelief people think this will end without a change.
@claytonandrews251 it costed 200 extra for the call out I was 16 km from the tire shop. The next day I could have went to the mechanic for the minor defects the inspector the day before didn't catch. So yeah. Over 2400$ for things that happen. Not me or the equipment maintenance. Wow. You truck much?
@claytonandrews251 I'm not even upset. Just some people don't get we go over thousands of bumps we apply the breaks hundreds of times a day. Lights go out. We have tones of problems but now we are subjected to be fined for minor things. To keep the economy going. Like I said entrapped to be fined for profit for the government. We conform to the new policies they fine us for then the make more and more. I don't really need to haul groceries to people anymore that cut me off and raise my taxes. I really don't necessarily need to do this I just like driving. But now I lost how much for me and the company. Let's just see how Toronto area takes these blitzes when people start speaking out.
87 drivers and 42 units. Slip seat
Or team
Yup. They just had older kenworth day cabs and some penske rentals
Great videos Ronan!! Do you have any info or stats on niche trucking markets like oversized, car haulers and even fuel/ oil field drivers. Thanks
Thanks for watching! Not to my knowledge, no!
I used to work down the street from them and I was interested in applying 4 years ago, but most of their equipment looked like junk, so I didn't
Bet you're glad you avoided that now
Nobody is talking about Indian brokers operating illegally from India. They are one of the biggest force driving the prices down .
If its only them..Go in Chicago and figure....ALL dispatchers are overseas...And doing ELD hack in real time...😊
If you have any specifics on which ones, we may be able to do a video covering them in the future
Also eastern europeans have the same set up😂
@@Green_BuL it's one thing to have your dispatch overseas it's another thing to operate as a broker for outside of U.S. with a fake company.
I know of one that operates out of the country and keeps changing names to avoid getting caught. The government should do something about it, they are like ghost companies.
70 years!!! Such a shame!!!!
That's was I was thinking
No one is spared in the current crisis
Companies have lifespans like people. They come and they go.
Its called the business cycle.
@@chinaboss6683 hi China man, yes and let's settle on "business life cycle" that starts with the seed or idea and goes through stages.....if we just say business cycle that's more of an cycle effecting an economy.
Fair enough...
It’s sad and scary at the same time.
We agree!
How do you think I felt when yellow the company I worked for last year closed abruptly as well? I felt just like these employees did.
Sorry to hear that :(
@@NorthAmerican-Trucking-News no worries, it put me on the path I’m on now. I’m about to dip my feet in the o/o business and give it hell.
This was a big company in the area, it’s just getting more and more difficult to run a truck , I’m thinking of closing too by the end of July that’s when I need to renew plates and insurance.
Sounds like the best bet currently
Those that blame the market are using it as a scape goat
Well the market isn't exactly great right now
At least they got a text
At least huh?
88,000 trucking companies went out of business last year . Small companies but out of business.
The FREE market ..as those Love Jesus people would say , The Hell with both
That is sad . Special the drivers . Work and don't get payd
So is a lack of efficiency the cause?
It is definitely a factor
Sorry to hear that,
Do you have any trucks for sale? And other equipment?
Why aren’t transportation companies following suit like Maersk ? Prioritizing the production of biofuels as a core company activity?
Maybe you should look at Baltimore?
@@michaelvanhorn3271 what’s crackin in Baltimore?
@@TruckingTendencies fuel issues are still in the Maersk Ship Dali that hit the Francis Scott Key bridge.
Is ET a privately held company?
How'd we get involved in this?
This is only the beginning....
I think trying to absorb another trucking company may be the downfall for some. take Yellow for example, I was only there 6 months before they closed but they rolled out their One Yellow jargen and within a year they were gone. trying to get 4 or 5 different companies all working on the same page, was too much for them.
A lot of them try to grow too quickly. The long game is definitely the safe game...
They just had a MASSIVE accident with some fatalities, that started with the end of the collapse.
Yikes...
so whats goin fellas, is the usa canada days gone?
???
Who knows
That build back better sure is wonderful
Joes build back BROKE plan
😂
So when is ET transport going down?
Never?
Wow they knew they didn't have money to pay the employees and they let them work for another weel
Who own that company in the last year ?? A trust found ????.... And less account peoples= better chance that they don't pay on time, less warehouse peoples= longer waiting time to get load or serve... Less peoples for prevention and in the garage= more downtime because of repairs and less maintenance on the equipments...
The details are obscure, but it is unlikely that they aren't financially sound during these times
They should had switch to drayage ...
Maybe
I like to hear that, I wonder how long is going to take you to be out of business
Us? Keep wondering I guess...
@@NorthAmerican-Trucking-News what ? You acting like you are getting well paid loads , with this market you probably y pay drivers well or are you telling you are operating at loss? Your company is doing same broker are doing, as long as you get your cut, the rest of leftover is for drivers.
But why why why these is happening ??
Because people vote stupid, and voted for Joe Biden. When you vote stupid, you deserve what you get.
Many reasons to consider to be very honest
Only big companies will make it, they insure themselves recycling their cash flow.
Not gonna lie, some of the big companies are going under too...
Too many drivers , those newcomers emigrants getting behind the wheel , I see it , that's why we have rates so cheap
Those guys come work make some money and go back abroad where they came from , we stay here and suffer
So what would you propose?
@@NorthAmerican-Trucking-News , first , let them become citizens or at least get a green card , then , get a truck driver school or academy like in the Canada , so I hope they will not poop or litter on the parking lots
Schools must be like truck drivers academies in the Canada
Truck drivers must learn some ethics , mechanical part not only how to hold steering wheel
Take them back to the fields picking our fruits and vegetables working for peanuts.
Good time to stock up on used equipment.
Without a doubt!
Bidenomics... how bout that 18 dollar big mac??. Or gavin slimesom??....
Lovely. I start truck driving school on Monday. 😐
Sucker
Why? Have you already paid?
@@kmg501 yup
@@GillRigged Are you single or married?
@@kmg501 lol. Looking for a date? 😂 Single
Всё идём работать к вам в компанию 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I don't speak your language, but thank you for watching!
This is what going zero carbon can do!
Thank everyone that voted blue.
You can thank Trump and his USMCA for all the losses of rates and over availability of equipment by allowing all of these Canadian and Mexican trucks into our country! Way to put American truckers and American jobs first, MAGA!
@@richardthompson7216 yeah because letting millions of scabs into the country is totally an improvement
Trump started the trade war with China. So, consumers have to paid higher prices from higher tariffs. US farmers got free money bc China didn't buy soybeans from us.
Trump is our savior.🤔
Good to see not everyone in this line of work wears horse blinders! Tired of the Maga crowd constantly wondering why their foot is bleeding after they shot it off, just to blame our current demented president.
Your wrong. This is cause by the reds that protect the owners. They never lose. Just look at DJT
Smart people close before ship sinks, morons think they can save sinking ship!
And miracle workers miraculously save it... who's gonna grant us the miracle that saves trucking in 2024?
This is just the beginning! The Great Blood Bath is coming! More and more reminds me of the economic bubble burst of 2008when drivers could barely get 1 load every week 1/2 it was so bad that all the truck stops were full for weeks at a time! no one was moving and companies were shutting down in every direction! Well it's coming back again but this time in version 2.0! Those bottom feeders from overseas brokers and dispatchers are taking over the fallen American companies and shippers are at fault! Yes I blame the shippers on this! They are the reason the economy is taking a dive! How could you betray a company that had hauled freight for you for for decades just because an Indian company offered you a ridiculous low price! What about the Track record of the new comer? What about customer service when problems arise? What about English language fluidity? What about liability? Wheres the familiarity of the area? How about good customer relations? All of this goes out of the window for that ridiculous low freight price! Sure for a little while they will enjoy the savings but quality handling control will be almost none existent and preventable accidents will increase in a short amount of time.
You hiring???
What a shame after 70 years🤦 This is bidenomics 🤷
So we hear
Great weather is not enough you will get what you voted for in the end
70 years and you cant keep rollin .seems youre not really doin it right if after 70 yrs goes under
70 years with family owned it might be under management of 3generation now …I guess that answers that question but economy is really many people don’t see it yet cuz anything that happens today takes 3-4 months to show the results
Maybe you're right
Keep voting for democrats and this is going to continue to happen
The FREE Market as those God..mn Effen Republicans would say
Oh?
I blame Joe Biden
explain
ITs the system not just Joe, years of company lobbying and corruption along with these dam ghost companies have left the financial burden on the working class tax payers. Just like any great country corruption eventually leads to decline.
@@michiganstadcultists go by blind faith

Well, let's see if we get better in the future
Thanks to Trump and he’s new USMCA!!!!
