- 2017 will mark the final time Hugh Jackman will portray the role of Wolverine after 17 years of playing the character in every single film in the X-Men franchise since the year 2000. Although the fans were vocal about how unhappy they were of his casting, he has now become iconic as the rage filled mutant we all came to know and love. Many of us can’t imagine anyone else playing the role because of what Hugh Jackman did with the character. The actor has transcended acting and has fully embodied the character. And now with Jackman leaving the franchise, this is a tribute dedicated to the 17 years of Wolverine in the X-Men film series. Appearing in 9 films in total (including “Logan”), us fans really do want to say thank you for putting so much dedication in playing this part. You’ve graced our screens with blood-boiling rage mixed along with a deep sense of serenity. Thank you, Hugh Jackman, for making dreams come true. Thank you. We will miss you.

The amount of dedication, emotion, work, and effort Hugh Jackman has put into each movie he was in as Wolverine was his best, no matter how bad or good the movie was, and that is what made us happy for 17 years, until 2017. Even if we invent cloning or some genetic copying, the soul and mind of Jackman will never, ever be replaced, and that is one treasure that should be kept for a long a time.
I wasn't really a fan of Wolverine until I realize how tortured and powerful he is...Now I have a whole new respect for him.

In terms of history and character progression Wolverine is in a category of his own. Batman is okay in his own right, but wolverine is a legend and unlike batman only one actor was needed to play him.

Take Out thats character development dude! I'd rather it improve every movie than be like lets say IRON MAN TRILOGY for example! Awesome groundbreaking start and just ended on a confused whimper. Caps trilogy is easily the best out of all marvel movie trilogies. Starter off good and kept improving.
I just kind of consider the 'wolverine trilogy' 3 separate films that are kind of related but not really. Logan definitely stands on it's own

TDK was an exceptional film and vastly improved BB- BUT da bar was set so high TDKR kinda folded under that pressure. It was MEH at best and didnt improve from the 1st 2 imo

This is painful to watch in all the best ways. You really captured the fragility and pain of Cash's cover mixed with the perfect role of wolverine as played by Hugh Jackman. Especially leaving the Logan clips till the end. This is gonna be a painful year
Just saw Logan...such a great send off to Hugh Jackman. My only regret is that we never saw him in the blue and yellow outfit. I know it's just a costume, but it's such a big part of his character. And to me, Jackman is the Wolverine.

Logan is straight up one of my all time favourite movies. It completely blew me away. The acting, the cinematography, the score, the licensed music, the setting, the story, everything about that movie was absolutely perfect, and the perfect goodbye to Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier. My girlfriend and I cried for like ten minutes in my car after we left the theatre. Incredible film.

I just realize something. Logan has had such a painful life, and I can kinda relate to his internal feelings. Not a lot of people have gone away in my life, but I have internal pain that consumes, and it makes you want to curl into a ball and scream and cry and forget everything around you.
That's another reason why this movie hits right in the feels every second.

When I was 5, my Dad had a copy of the first live action X Men film on DVD when it was released and my Dad watched it and I came in when they showed Hugh in the bar scene and I looked at him for a bit and asked my Dad "Daddy, is that Wolverine?" and he said "Yes, that's Wolverine." Hard to believe I'm nearly 22 now and not being able to see him as Logan on screen anymore is gonna be tough to get used to.

I was born in 1995, I remember seeing X1 in tv when I was a little kid. My first X men movie to see in cinemas was X2. X-men has been a part of my life since I was a little kid, and in my 21st year, it is very hard for me to accept the fact that wolverine is gone. Thank you Jackman for giving me that.
