Are you going to continue with the Mad Max reactions? I enjoyed your reaction of the first movie last week.
Kick Ass 3 was supposed to happen but because this film didn’t do so well at the box office, they canceled all plans for it. There was also supposed to be a Hit Girl prequel movie. I’ve been hoping for them to just do it for the past 6 years but nothing 😂
I heard that the producers were afraid vandals would put an "S" in front of "Hit Girl" on the theater marquees and turn it into "Shit Girl."
actually, the writer was hesitant to do the next movie. he said it was getting serious and that main characters were going to die.. he didn't want to disappoint people.
Actually they said if anything happens it’s probably going to be a reboot or maybe kickass3 in 2023 or later
I won't lie, I love the original Kick Ass, but the sequel was seriously dumbed down and the fights were not sharp or hard as the first one. Just goes to show how a change in directors makes all the difference.
@@spirittammyk while they made minor changes from the comic to the first movie, they made major changes in the sequel. For example they changed the cocaine to adrenaline that Hit Girl uses as a last resort. They changed the way Mother Russia is defeated, in the comic Hit Girl decapitates her and holds her head. They change the final fight from being high stakes to low stakes; in the comic the fight took place in NYC with buildings set to blow up, the whole streets full of villains and heroes fighting it out, while the movie just simply had a warehouse, just to name a few.
I feel the movie would've done far better if they'd not changed so much.
Mother Russia is played by Russian bodybuilder Olga Kurkulina. Ironically she was the kindest person on set...
And didn't speak any English. She had to learn her lines phonetically.

@Dammian Reyes Phoenix Jones, I'll admit, he was a superhero, but I do gotta say, he really does fight crime.. but since he retired and even his wife also retired of being a superhero, we still could use more superheros in the world right now actually, but I feel like I want to become the next superhero, and I'm 15 right now, and I do take a martial arts class 🥋 and I do Karate, and I have been doing Karate since 2019 (11 years old) (4 years) and yeah, I feel like want to become a superhero, but at the same time, I don't want to risk my life on getting myself hurt or telling my family who I really am, but I do gotta tell my family at some point.. but yeah I do want to become a superhero.

The motorcycle isn't unrealistic...she did mention having $3 million socked away, after Big Daddy died. Also, I think it was specifically requested by Chloe Grace-Moretz, when they were negotiating for the sequel! :D

Chloë Grace Moretz stunt performence and more on Kick ass 1 ( 13 years old ) and kick ass 2 ( 16 years old ) is really amazing

9:55 - Nope, not a One Direction rip-off. They were another actual British boy band that existed in real life back when this movie came out.
Fun fact: Michael Cera auditioned for kickass but stopped when he got the role for Scott pilgrim

Can we all just admit that Javier(Chris/Motherfuckers assistant)is the MVP on the bad guys side? Totally supportive of Chris, but trying to convince him to leave revenge behind and clearly a positive influence on him, despite only being what you'd call a "mook"in any other comic series.Also calling him out on the racist names. XD
Also glad that Chris was like "I don't want to kill a helpless dog!"to Mother Russia.

I never noted that this movie did better badass female characters than almost all of the MCU.
love this movie. Such a dark tone and its just perfect.
Your reaction really reminded me of how good this movie is but also how much I loved it when I first saw it.
I hated that his dad died but it’s a very good part of the story

I highly recommend the comic book version of Kick-Ass 2 (yes, that is what it's actually called). So much better, and I'm pretty sure the director of this one never read a single panel from it.

There were plans for a 3rd one back in 2015, but it was dropped in favor of a Hit-Girl prequel movie, which was also dropped.
I don’t think there will be a third plus the actress who played hit girl already said she really didn’t like this one and the direction it was going. I still liked it though.

legend says that Hit-girl found Gotham, gave up the guns and the pink/purple outfit and got a new outfit in black, changed her name to Batgirl and fights along side Batman!

I'm pretty sure they gonna make a Hit-Girl single movie in a few years. That's could be really cool. The futur of Mindy as Hit-Woman i don't know xD But a single movie with her will be cool
Thing is, I think that Mindy being a teenager and now a woman is going to take away from the stigma of the first movie. The hook was a 12 year old assassin.
I kinda missed Evan Peters as Tod but I still enjoyed the movie

Its been a long time since I read it but in the comic I think Hit Girl used the injection in the elevator from the first movie. She said it was a mix of adrenaline and cocaine or something crazy like that
I was so sad that they recasted Todd but I’m pretty sure it was because Evan peters was filming AHS

Well, none are exactly like this and I don't think none are as good, but these are ones I like a lot:
Watchmen (Director's Cut)
This is the only one that can match Kick Ass in graphic violence, but is short on the humor.
The rest have the humor but come up way short on the graphic violence...
Hero At Large (a nostalgic favorite of mine from when I was a kid, it came out a few years after the first Superman movie.)
Meteor Man (VERY underrated movie!!!)

Mother Russia could have been made the main villain in the film. She's the coolest.
I believe one of the reasons there isn't a third is piracy for this film severely harmed its box office earnings.
Mother Russia is different from everyone else: she actually has superpowers. 😳

Know a lot of fans want a Kick-Ass 3 but I think the series ended on a good note and doesn't feel like it needs to be a trilogy, sometimes it's best to stop at the 2nd film.

I believe this was the most pirated film of 2013..which I do feel guilty about because I too pirated it, And with Mathew Vaughn leaving..yeah, sadly we aren't getting a kick-ass 3.
I would like to see another kick-ass but I just don't see it happening. There'd be a better chance of a reboot then a third film.

This movie didn`t do well financially because of Jim carey refused to promote it, due to its violence.
Ruined the chance of a third movie.
I am sure he had no problem cashing his paycheck though.

His refusal to promote it garnered a lot of media attention at the time, so that in and of itself was promotion. But let's not pretend like he's the only reason this movie flopped. It's really just not as good a movie as the first. The pacing is poor and they didn't seem to know what to do with a lot of the characters. Honestly, Chris D'Amico had the best character arc in this movie, and he's the only thing that saves it.
The movie just wasn't as good as the first one because Matthew Vaughn hardly involved with the movie.
That explains it being so high on the list of most pirated video's. Thanks.

There almost certainly won't be a third movie. The studio put the kibosh on that when KA2 became something like the most illegally downloaded movie of the year when it came out.
Kick-Ass 2 was awesome better than the first one and I loved the first one it was very different from what was out at that time
Sadly with the departure of Matthew Vaughn from the franchise this movie didn’t quite rack up to the first one and was a bit disappointing IMO, it’s still enjoyable and it has some good elements in it for sure but definitely not as good as it could have been.
Matthew vaughn is a genius from kingsman to this he needs to direct an actual mcu movie maybe deadpool 3

My understanding was in the comics, she basically goes ape shit on him as soon as she figures out he isn't gay, out of pure spite he wasn't her token gay friend.

Yeah, he refused to do promotion for it after filming it.
It was due to a school shooting that happened between filming it and its release.

Kick Ass 2 was such a let down compared to the first film. But your reaction was enjoyable, as always!
This is my favorite Jim Carey role.... he's a great actor but I find 85% of his characters are the same, and this was a great diversion from the normal. He is quite menacing in the role and I normally don't think of him of being that physically imposing.
I loved him in this.
He actually didnt support the movie b4 it came out bc of the sandy hook shooting.
I hate writers made Dave and Marty being act little bit different towards their childhood friend Todd in this movie.
Dave feels heartbroken by Katie cheats on him with Malik. He deserves better than Katie. Maybe she's not the one for him. He will find right girl who's gonna accepts his double life and being faithful to him.
We're going to see more of Marcus, but he'll look a bit different, because I guess the original actor wasn't available.
I would freak the fuck out if Aaron Taylor Johnson came back to the MCU as Kickass
It's crazy to see how many people in Marvel came from here.
I am one of the few people who enjoys the second film much more than the first.
I do too. The villains in the first were generic mobsters. I like that Chris became The MFer and made a group of supervillains. I love Mother Russia in all of her scenes. Her and Mindy's fight scene is better than Mindy's and Frank's from the first. I like that Dave can fight, even if he still isn't the best fighter. I could go on, but, yes, the second is better.

I had to laugh at your One Direction reference when the boyband appeared on tv. The band, Union J, were a real band in the UK who were on the 2012 UK X Factor, they were never very big but Simon Cowell and co. definitely wanted to create a New One Direction with them. They obviously had some kind of deal with Kick Ass 2 to promote their first single 'Carry You', but it's funny because most people who saw the film assumed they were a fake band :'D

An extremely violent action and comedy film that you could check is Kingsman 2. Is by the same director of Kick Ass
There we can talk about a disappointing sequel, no way near as good as Kingsman 1 which is a modern classic
Mindy/ Hit-Girl is probably the most badass characters in these films tbh.
She reminds me of Kim Possible 12:00, Parker from Leverage 22:25 & Belle Blake from The Family (2013) lol.
I'd like to see Tim react to The Family (2013) on the channel. It's a good film w/ an amazing cast (Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert De Niro, Dianna Agron, Tommy Lee Jones, etc).

I must say, I enjoyed this reaction far more than I enjoyed actually watching this movie back in the day. I only watched this movie once, but l remember being rather disappointed afterwards. This film needed way more Hit-Girl.

Action comedy's: Tango and Cash, The Italian Job (noticed coming to America I highly recommend Trading Places but it's more comedy than action, Clue is in that vein as is Oscar), The Fifth Element, I don't know if Stargate counts, Babylon 5 is more of a series and more a mix of everything great, Read Or Die is a fantastic action comedy movie.
I actually forgot a classic comedy Guarding Tess. Has Nicolas Cage as a secret service agent stuck in a less than exciting job.

Why the dude who gave Dave's father to kill is with the good guys in the finale?
Because Todd didn't realize they were villains until AFTER he said that about Dave's dad. You even see the realization on his face later.
