I'll have to look for more of them. I like to limit my drinking to one or two beers a week, these days, so they could be a good option. And hey, it was better than the one with alcohol in it.
Sterling was the ringleader of the cyberpunk movement, but he definitely was trying to look beyond the singularity in those Shaper/Mechanists stories...Schizmatrix was the central novel and then there were a bunch of short stories collected in Crystal Express. there may be a volume collecting the novel and the short stories...Schizmatrix Plus.
Fun video, Damian! The new camera is really super clear, great picture! I picked up the first 2 issues of Redcoat but have not read it yet. I'm so glad to hear good things about it from people. I look forward to checking them up finally. Always love to hear your thoughts on the new books you pick up, helps me decide if I'm interested or not. Thanks so much, amigo!
I loved the video brother. Nice new camera. Looking sharp..that festival looked fun. I'm so glad I have a friend that likes REDCOAT as much as I do ..I like so many things about this series. Their version of American lore and the art and everything about the comic itself. Fun video ,lots of cool books and your great opinions. Have a great week Damian
I've been enjoying the heck out of Redcoat. Crocodile Black was a mixed bag for me but issue 2 helped the overall story get fleshed out. Great reviews, always enjoy hearing your thoughts on the books.
Good day, D. Now that I'm somewhat settled in I pick a comic from the 80's to read. A few night's ago it was a New Mutants book by Chris and Bill S. Spent about half an hour reading it. At the time I'd sometimes lose patience with the thought balloons. Now, they don't bother me much. By the end of comic one closes the comic with a deeper understanding of Professor X, Illyana, Cloak & Dagger (they guest starred). Speaking of, a new X-Men title drops today. My shop had many ratio orders. Best to you from Texas, M.
Hey hey Gore. I'm glad you have some time to read...hopefully most of the move and reorganizing is out of the way by now.I often find with Claremont that I'm a little exasperated with the over writing at first but eventually I'm glad he made sure I know the characters so well.
Lots of books there mate, no wonder you get behind on your reading with that many to get through. Lots of slightly interesting sounding concepts but nothing I'd splash out my paltry funds on. Always cool though to hear your thoughts on a bunch of modern books. How about grabbing a handful of old books from the same month and rating those. Like a retro comic books thoughts? haha there's a concept. Enjoy your slightly beer flavoured water Sleepy
Good suggestion...I should do more thoughts on older comics I read. The idea of keeping up with the new ones just dominates when I think of doing a video...ideally I'd like to talk about them the week they came out. Maybe I'm just hiding the more nostalgia based part of my comics reading.
Double swigger!!! I like the cover ranking. You edited in - like stream of consciousness: bold, daring…I like the narrative box rumination - it’s interesting if there’s a new way to do it and how that’s tackled. Unholy Spawn Spoilers!!! I laughed when you stated you never worry about length…why did I do that? I saw a reference to a famous painting (man in bath with arm hanging) in Crocodile Black. You’ll be the vampire in that woods scenario! What a life - drinking beer all day. I get migraines from alcohol or I’d do that too.
That makes sense. Probably, if I want to explore NA beers, I'd have to figure out what works best for me without the alcohol content. I have enjoyed some of those hop flavored fizzy waters.
🎉🎉🎉
woohoo!
Excellent video and books cool reviews thank you for sharing
Thanks my friend!
I really like those Athletic Brewing beers, I don't drink anymore so it's nice to have one without the alcohol, loved hearing your thoughts!

Funny cat! Sterling seems interesting. Reminds me of Ray Kurzweil’s new one The Singularity is Nearer. I’ll look into Mourning and Alligator Black.

The One Hand: loved it. Really looking forward to seeing what the Six Fingers gives us.
Having the two interweaved comics was super cool. I'm looking forward to the that last Sixth Finger and to rereading the whole thing together.

Thanks Rod! I think you'll have a fun ride with the Redcoat! I know our buddy Higgy loves it too.

Thanks Brother Higgy! We both have great taste in comics! No one can dare say otherwise.

I'm bummed to realize I'm so far behind that Crocodile Black 2 is already out! I really need to buckle down to catch up!

That was a really interesting comment. I felt like I was along with you on your New Mutants reading journey.

Great reviews as always. Red Coat has been fun.
Thanks Brian. Redcoat has a good buzz in the community, hopefully that translates to good sales and a long run!
Super work, stay connected!
like done
Thanks for stopping by!

Sadly, in my twighlight years drinking beer all day just means one beer most days.
New camera looks great. Also, shoutout for drinking one of my fav NA beers 🍻 🎉
We'll have to talk about your NA beer thoughts sometime...I love beer but only want to drink very moderately.
@@sleepyreader666 for sure. There’s a lot of good options these days 🍺
Maybe they chose Jeremy as the cover artist because he is also a WRITER.
I suppose so! Maybe a friend of the actual writers of the book? 📚
I am a bit confused at what you did with the editing Mr. Sleepy. Happy further reading😄😄
It was very experimental MG...and maybe just turned out confusing! But I never promised coherence on this channel ;)
@@sleepyreader666 😂😂
The ram v and watters books seem like they maybe a fun re-read. I decided to wait for them to be collected, but I'm curious how they do that
I like non-alcoholic ipas but without the alcohol you really notice the lack of body, especially in the NA beers that try to mirror big beers.
Maybe you'll do a video on it when the trade(s) come out. :)

I dug Butcher's Boy 1 and going to read 2... 2norrow. NA Beer for Damian!! 😂😂😂😂
I bet that was right up your alley Mr. Spine! Hope you're healing up well my friend.
