The heat dome! Is that like the Thunder Dome? Two men enter one man leaves. I noticed you haven't made a video in a couple weeks ,I was gonna make a milk carton with your face on it😂 the Shrouded college book sounds like a great idea. I wish I got on the Geiger series ,it looks fun. Stay cool out there my brother ,have a great weekend and awsome reviews as always
Thanks buddy! Maybe we can tag team on that heat dome! Hopefully the Shrouded College books will pull it together in time…you are right there are some cool ideas there. I think you can jump in on Geiger, the basic structure is pretty simple so far…Clint Eastwood Western meets Mad Max meets the Hulk with a new adventure each month as he wanders the land.
I really like Geiger and I’m going to find a copy of your number one book. I’m also wondering if I should check out Savage Dragon. Don’t worry about the length of time between uploads.. plenty to read 🙏🙏🙏
Recent Savage Dragon is wild and crazy. I think i don’t need to read it constantly, a run of issues here or there hits the spot for a while, then I’ve had enough for a while . Keep on truckin' Taqi
I experienced that heat in Boston - it was baaaad. Busty is just that! Drinking beer on camera seems bold to me - maybe because I’m a teacher and think I’ll get fired! I live in FEAR!! Napslm Lullaby has a red and white palette - also seems like Sienkievitz (sp). You say Creature isn’t as good as Dracula - but I didn’t buy that one!!! 😢. Cranky! Cranky! I want to read Geiger. Now that I’m turned on to Allred - thank you - I need to get the Superman and Batman by him. Great vid.
I was just describing Gilbert Hernandez's story telling style as "He creates a lot of characters and things happen to them." There is not a lot of traditional three act structure in them. The "Movie" stories actually have more structure in them than normal but it's a weird Mexican B movie structure. A made on the cheap and often pieced together at times structure. I think that lack of structure allows us to live with these characters year after year and the meaning develops over time as more things happen. Or we impose meaning on the things that happen just as we do in our own lives.
I understand what you are saying in theory, but lately the Gilbert books I’ve picked up just don’t seem to work that way for me…but I may keep trying, depending on my mood.
@@sleepyreader666 I remember back in the 1980s it took me longer to get into Gilbert’s stuff as compared to Jaime’s. I still don’t think I totally got it until about ten years ago when I started to reread Gilbert’s stuff in collected editions. Then some sort of light went on in my head.
Interesting thoughts about napalm lullaby. I gave up on Remender ages ago. He said he purposely puts his political ideas into everything. I’m not left wing or right wing. I’m in the middle on most issues. So I can’t enjoy extremists. They focus on their simplistic message rather than on characters and storytelling. Lagoon looks cool! I’ll check out the Ratio comic. Sounds like Logan’s Run. Yeah, it’s hot out! I’m enjoying the vid
Interesting, I haven't read all of Remender's work, but inly noticed a political statement in one i read. But he likes to push to extremes in many ways, some good some bad, from what I've seen so far.
I'm reading transformers phase 1 & Rachel rising right now . I really like the dialogue on Rachel rising & the story has been good kind of unpredictable in a way, transformers has just been hit & miss theres a lot of introductions to a lot of characters that are not even part of the story about to start the 4th Hardcover
I haven’t really read Transformers yet. I read Rachael Rising when it first came out and have been meaning to give it a reread ever since…remember liking it a lot. Good to hear from you Comic Swag!
@@sleepyreader666 yea Rachel rising is good . I'm not familiar with transformers either I just know them from the movies but decided to try to read the IDW series since it got a lot of hype wen it went to image
Interesting books! Like Bengal's artwork. Enjoy your weekend Damian!👍✌️
I,d never heard of Bengal before…should probably look into his work. Hope your having a relaxing weekend Sean.
Happy further reading and I hope you enjoy you vacation😄😄😄
Thanks Matilda! I’m already having a good time!
Good to see you back. I was beginning to wonder... not that I have any room to talk with my years ago brake! lol
Life has a way of distracting from the much more important comics! I was certainly glad to see you back!

You teachers do have To be very careful. There was one RUclipsr, who had someone send his videos to their employer.

Nice pics. I still have to dive into that w0rld tre run. I hear it's pretty good.
I like it, and think it's a natural as a trade read

Yay no more count down.! Rather here what you think
Talking about my thoughts on the comics is always my goal
Get off my lawn! Great reviews. I enjoyed Geiger's library, and books story line.
That was very cool, i am definitely looking forward to what is coming up in each Geiger issue
Only real men drink hazy IPAs. Great stuff sir!!!!
Exactly!! :)
Thanks for dropping by DDFC
Maybe the death ratio is the ratio of likes to dislikes?
That makes sense…and someone just told me it's now a term used on Twitter / X…which i left quite a while back.
@@sleepyreader666 you and me both, buddy
My Bad💛
:) yes
Aw. Your friend is a hazy hater. Shame 😂.
He has strong opinions!
