He had a " gross out " competition with Motley Crue. To see who could gross out the other. Motley says Ozzy won when he licked up Nikki Sixx's urine. But Ozzy says he doesn't remember it lol. Back then Ozzy did more drugs n drank more than 99.9% of the rockers. To be honest, it's amazing he's made it this far. For sure a national treasure. All hail the " Prince of Darkness "! Lol
@@gabeackermanackerman1084 Nikki Sixx's urine was probably one of the harder drugs Ozzy had taken in his life. I've died twice (not because of drugs) so death doesn't always stick, lol but how either survived to this day is a complete mystery. I'm glad though, because they're music has had a great impact on my life.
If you knew the personal life of Ozzy Osbourne, the lyrics would make perfect sense... the 'wreckage' of his past... history of addictions... etc. Born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham, UK to working class parents, 'Ozzy' was destined for failure... but overcame the odds against him. Born w/ dyslexia, he was undiagnosed and failed in school... he was often bullied, picked on, beaten... and even sexually abused as a minor. At 15, he was out of school, working day jobs, and running w/ teen gangs to burglarize stores... he was caught & did time in adult prison. After he got out, a young Ozzy was scared of jail and decided to find a new path... Seeing and hearing The Beatles in the 60's gave him the direction he needed - he wanted to be a rock n' roll singer. His dad went into debt to buy Ozzy a P.A. He put up an ad in a music shop and eventually joined the band that became Black Sabbath in 1969... In 1970, Black Sabbath shot to fame w/ a dark brand of heavy rock music that brought Ozzy Osbourne fame, fortune and excess... drugs booze, women & money poured in. However, Ozzy discovered in 1974 that Sabbath was broke... all their money was going to their then-manager. Sabbath carried on in 1975, but fired Ozzy in 1979 after his drug & alcohol addictions were making him a liability. Ozzy was left to die on drugs on booze... his only believer was Sharon Arden, who knew he could perform & entertain... She financed Ozzy's solo band and record... Sharon & Ozzy would marry in 1982, but severed ties w/ her father, who managed Sabbath. Ozzy was still broke for years cos all his money was going contractually to Sharon's father... Ozzy and Sharon spent years on a tour bus together... His guitarist Randy Rhoads was killed in an airplane crash on tour in 1982. His addictions nearly killed him in 1985 (Sharon tricked him to going to rehab) Ozzy was sued in court for inspiring a suicide in 1986 (He prevailed)... His marriage to Sharon nearly ended a number of times... but the worst was when he blacked out in 1989 binging on alcohol & pills and attempted to kill her (He woke up in jail and couldn't remember anything) His life in 1991 was reflected in this song...
I can understand him. I guess it helps that I've been listening to Ozzy/Black sabbath since I was a kid, and watched a ton of interviews (and the osbournes)
Just like someone else has already said, this album is one of those rare ones that from start to finish is solid on every song. In my opinion this album was Ozzy at his best with his solo career. Keep them coming sir.
This is my favorite Ozzy song. This is one of my funeral songs I want played at my wake already told the wife that got a list of tunes they are going play.
HELLRAISER!!! IN THE THUNDER AND HEAT!!!! HELLRAISER!!!! ROCK YOU BACK IN YOUR SEAT!!!! HELLRAISER!!!! AND ILL MAKE IT COME TRUE!!! HELLRAIserrrr, ill put a SPELL ON YOU!!!!!!
this is another one of those albums that you can listen to front to back straight thru and there isnt bad track. one of the bes albums that ever existed...came out like 91...i had just graduated high school wasnt even 18 yet lol
What a legend!!! Decades of music that we would still be listening to until our old and grays, which our children listen too as well and pass it on to their children. I feel blessed growing up with such legends of music. And he still does concerts, which I got to see 2 years ago. Thanks Van.
@@Jamessmith-xk3fh I'm 51 and still enjoy going to concerts, we go as a family. My son enjoys our outings together this way instead of vacations. It's been 7 years and with COVID, our concerts keep getting rescheduled ( 3x) but it's worth the wait.
What’s so crazy is Ozzie has such a passion and beautiful voice with amazingly heartfelt lyrics and you don’t see that necessarily when you see him as the reality star. But I loved it. He is just an amazing musician and creator. I will go down in history with the greats of all time.
I saw Ozzy play this live in Denver back in 2018. He played this song as well as Desire. Total gems and a true musical artist. Oz was at his prime when him and the boys recorded this album. Many memories with this album playing! I’ll always be an Ozzy Osbourne super fan.
This entire album is amazing. In my opinion it is only topped by his first two “solo” albums “Blizzard Of Ozz” and “Diary of a Madman”. Even though those two were originally written and recorded as the Blizzard Of Ozz, as the band was first called. But that’s a different story.
Ohhhhhh glad to see someone react to this song. Unfortunately Oz is known for blocking but still glad to see you react to it. The album No More Tears is fire. Try “Momma I’m coming Home “ if you can.
We are all searching Van! Especially me. I’m searching for my keys, my glasses, the remote…everything! Lol. Old age! But seriously, that’s a great observation. See! That’s why I keep coming back. 🌺✌️
This was on his most successful album, and it is great start to finish, but a few years later he released another bad ass album, Ozzmosis. Full of great tunes.
The guitar slides like ice. It was infallible comprehension combined with a missing key that caused the titanic to sink. Also a glacier that carved a passage of time for the Grand Canyon. Zak Wylde introduced an incredible new voice to a genre of guitar and developing technological effects. Ozzy always new he'd be a dinasour, he can still sing about it. 🙏 Horns,,? Adjust your eq's brother. Play it again Sam 😉 'Live for today not tomorrow'. It's a thousand years, why fantasize? Got it too👍
That look on your face? Was the same look we all had in '91 listening to this whole album. It's my favorite album. Not one bad song. This was Ozzy's "Swan Song" , if you will. Even though Ozzy has said several times he doesn't feel he has written his "Swan Song " yet.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 yes sir... great album.. I also think it is Ozzy's best... I saw this concert.. they called it the no more tours tour. Lol not long after they were touring with a hit list badass bands. Called it OZZFEST ... then the next and next.. for me... 2nd place album is The Ultimate Sin... the songs Shot In the Dark, Ultimate Sin, Killer of Giants, Fool like you, Lightning Strikes.. oh yeah. Man like this one no bad songs.. though a bit dated with all the poli nuclear war stuff.. ooops let not forget the Randy Rhoads Trubute album a live greatest hits that simply put stellar
I'm glad at the end you recognized the significance of saying the road to nowhere leads to him. Thinking with all he has accomplished he is still made it nowhere.
Nobody here has got it yet. It's simple. It's about his love of touring. A road that goes everywhere and nowhere. A life that's almost killed him many times, but wouldn't have it any other way.
I recently heard a song called hybrid theory tanhayee. It sounds like a cocktail of LP + Limp bizkit + bring me the horizon + korn. I think you should check it out.
I'm still searching for the key can be seen this way along with other ways but to me it's always been I went for what the world told me I should and got it but it wasn't what I wanted I still haven't figured that out and I don't know if I ever will and that's the saddest thing about life
Van, you've gotta understand the guy singing this song snorted a line of ants infront of Motley Crue when they were his opening act😋❗
ANTS????! The hell!!!

Fire in the sky is another great song that rarely gets mentioned.
Ozzy is very honest about his life and is very humble
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This whole album is straight fire!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great song. Now react to Ozzy's " Time after time" and also " breaking all the rules "
"No More Tears" is probably my favorite..one of Ozzy's best songs. That and "Mama I'm Coming Home". Both definitely worth checking out.💙☮💙
On that album I also liked Mr. Tinkertrain.
What🙄😋😛
“Life Won’t Wait” is another great deep song with a message by Ozzy.
