Painkiller Already (PKA) is a decade long running podcast featuring Woody (WoodysGamertag), Kyle (FPSRussia) and Taylor (TaylorMurka). Former hosts include Jordie Jordan (WingsofRedemption) and LeftyOX. Over time the Painkiller Already podcast has shifted more from a show about video games and comedy to whatever the hosts decide to talk about whether it's movies/television, UFC/Hockey talk, politics, video reactions, cars/trucks/paramotoring, business/finance/investing etc.
The PKA Clips RUclips channel is working to capture iconic highlights from PKA Podcast's new episodes every Saturday, as well as past episodes during the weekdays, so that new and old fans can enjoy different bits from the show over time and see how it has evolved into the podcast people love today.
Makes me so sad when Kyle talks about not being able to own guns. :'(
The ATF were not going to let him keep doing his channel and finally got him. In a way he's lucky that he didn't go to jail for years and have his life completely ruined by them. At least he's still rich.
There's always cap and ball black powder revolvers and large caliber rifles... Definitely not as convenient, but it beats a flintlock or crossbow
Lmao you don’t think Kyle has some firepower stashed away and kept secret for when the world crashes? Yeah you’re right😉
He knew what he was getting into when he decided to break the law. Granted a pretty dumb law imo, but a law nonetheless. One can only get so far whilst dancing the line between lawful and criminal behavior.
@@dodymmawsjx As far as I'm concerned if charged with a non violent/victimless crime served their sentence/done their time and finished their probation they are due their constructional rights.

The fact that Arian had no idea who Kyle was made this video. Its like a kid running into MJ at the local Rec center and learning basketball thinking he's just regular guy.
Yeah thats what im saying... the fact that this isnt harped on in the comments more than this is kinda surprising.
im sitting here like "uhhhh bro did you even know what a *computer* was when you were in school?"
Doesn't realize he's around YT royality.
Have good day.
lol this comment is spot on haha

Idk why I thought you meant Michael Jackson when you mentioned kids 😂

Kyle sounds allot like Joe Rogan with his mannerisms and inflections in his voice.
Joe should have him on the show
It's funny you said that. I laid the phone down and heard someone (Kyle) talk and thought for quick second that it was Joe Rogan lol
Exactly lol it’s like the white people formal voice
And addiction
I've thought the same thing
"I've got a Glock 40 but I never use it, - it's just for if something pop off" If something pops off and you aren't comfortable/familiar with using it... You aren't going to be in the best position. Training and practice, get that thing used, take a class. Do some force on force training too (I know airsoft was mentioned a the end of the video and this can be an ideal way to learn how to react when faced with a "threat") But learn to be proficient with whatever you choose to defend yourself with.
Pretty sure that’s one of the reasons they recommended a shotgun, you don’t need too much training
@@winstonchurchill624 actually a pump action shotgun requires significantly more training. You now have to manually chamber a round each shot, which you can fuck up easily NOT under stress. You now have to load each round into the magazine, which you can fuck up easily NOT under stress. And most importantly, buckshot is only spreading out to about 8 inches at most unless you have some long ass hallways, so you still have to have your sights on target.
@@NPS69 I kinda think they mean "keep it loaded and under your bed" type of shotgun. If someone invades my home (which is where I'm guessing you'll keep your shotgun) I'm sure as fuck not gonna miss when they come around that corner. And if I do, I guess that's on me. And so is the burglar/murderer.
@@OpathicaNAE except he has kids he can't leave out around his house while he's barricaded in his bedroom. It's also a bad idea to keep pump shotguns stored with a round chambered as neither the suggested 500 or 870 (nor do many other models) have a firing pin block. While it's a viable option, it's pretty much the worst of the viable options. If you were dead set on a shotgat I would absolutely suggest a semi auto Beretta, 1301 is the top of my list with shotguns period, or a semi auto Benelli over any pump gun.
@@NPS69 what? handguns are waaay harder to understand/control when trying to fire multiple times, which you would need for self defense. Pump-action shotguns are way easier to control than a handgun for beginners, sure it has a ton more recoil but at least you have 3 easy points of contact with the gun itself. He just has to understand basic loading mechanics and whatnot for shotguns, but that's just my opinion.
"It's what I grew up with" to say about a shotgun has got to be the most American thing ever
When I turned 18 I bought an AR15 and a 12 gauge, and they were within arm’s reach at almost all times when I was in my room in my apartment. My roommates had guns, too. We all had grown up shooting. It’s weird to me that their are men who reach their 30’s and haven’t ever fired a gun, but I guess not everyone has the same culture.
@@JonMarvel definetly, yes. Where I life nobody owns a gun, because here safety is more of a concern than a dick measurement and stupid fun.
@@simonrazer8303 how safe are you when you can't defend yourself from a home intruder without having to engage in hand-to-hand combat or waiting on police to respond? Especially if you're a single woman.
Simonrazer That is THE most beta shit I have ever heard, having the ability to blow a home intruder back out of my front door before he kills my children is a pretty nice feature of living in America, we have our problems quite obviously but wherever you come from clearly has more
@@street8651 take one look at your gun death/crime rate statistics and tell me again that you live safe compared to a place with adequate gun laws.
I prefer the mossberg, but the key is something he mentioned. Handle both and see which safety you prefer, because they are basically the same otherwise.
i prefer the bossberg as well. safety is ambi n right where the thumb is. for slide release can simply roll thumb over and hit it. also dont rust from factory, can replace extractors etc
I used to think the same thing.
When you are pouring sweat exhausted running through the woods, the slight rattle of the Mossberg forgrip will drive you absolutely insane. It's a very hollow and unnatural sound. Wish I would have went with an 870 but I sold my Mossberg for cost so no real loss. I wouldn't want to carry a pump around anyway. A nice SxS will be less than half the weight and more than twice as handy.
I don't like the Mossberg 500 I own both the Remington and the Mossberg and the Mossberg when I shake it it sounds like everything is loose and there is lots of rattling. Remington is a lot more sturdy and put together better.
My booger hook is my safety. The gun in my room right now never has the safety on with one in the tube. If you're smart and live with smart people the safety is never an issue.
@@SenderBudYerGood that's fine just smack the butt on the ground a couple times to make sure it's safe. Would look real silly if you were scrambling for a gun, dropped it, and blew your own head off. Anything with a really nice trigger will go off with a good smack. Gotta make sure it's not too nice.

I love that Kyle dispelled the shotgun range myth. Video games teach you a shotgun is good within like twenty feet. You can hunt with a shotgun from, as he said, several dozen yards out. You have a rifled barrel and slugs, or hell even just a full choke? You're safe at 100' plus.
Best game I've seen that represents shotguns (I'd even say most/all guns) realistically is RDR2. Except for maybe the reload time
Ive been peppered with birdshot at about 100 yards. No idea what the choke was. Felt like a hard pitch of sand from a couple of feet away. People where just horrible in every way.
I'd say AA-12 cuz then they fit in the vacuum cleaner afterwards
LOL
I love when kyle talks about guns. He rlly knows his shit
Not really hes kind of uninformed in a lot of areas. I imagine not being able to own guns for the past few years kind of turned his brain off.
He’s got that NFL money, just buy a 700-1400 dollar AR and put an aimpoint PRO on it and some back up sights and a light and you good
There you go counting his money smh. Let the man get a shotgun when he already has a handgun he never touches. But no since he was in the nfl go get a rifle
DMV Bawse he probably ain’t gonna touch the shotgun either lol. He can still get one, still need to practice no matter what you got
Jobie Sotelo true but a assault rifle purchase you better take your ass to the range. The idea you would buy one and never shoot a rifle as a gun owner makes me feel weird. Then again you should probably do the same with a shotgun
DMV Bawse yea, that’s what i was saying, either way he’ll need to practice with it, I just see a rifle in a good proven rifle cartridge and a weapon system that will be easier to learn and shoot. He can do the same with a shotgun. But I’m sure by the questions he was asking Kyle he’ll probably end up getting both
A pump shotgun is horrible for home defense
Gun Broker was a good experience for me. I would recommend getting something that you are not scared to shoot. 12 Ga can have a killer kick extra with 00 buck and slugs. #4 shout and down are still legit too.
To many people snipe on Gun Broker especially with imports
As long as it has a stock I wouldn't worry about recoil unless you're sub 150lbs. I'm 160 and been shooting 12g since I was 10
Got my 12ga loaded with "3 1/2 shells
12 Gauge isn't so bad with Low FPS shells
It also depends on how heavy your gun is, I have shot 1oz slugs from my KSG 12 and it is nowhere near the recoil on a break action 12ga.
man if youre that scared of "when shit pop off" you better hop off valorant, and start getting comfortable with that untouched glock.
just cause you own a gun doesnt mean you good. you're gonna get rekt
I like Arian seems like he’s been through a lot now he’d rather just be laid back and to himself
I love the Remjmgton 870. It's one of the first guns I ever shot. I have an early 70's model 870 Wingmaster that was passed down to me from my Dad. Beautiful gun!
Do you agree with Kyle’s gun recommendations?
no the bullet will pass thru the person
No fuck you I whant a 30 mm aden
He should have warned him about over penetration with the rifle. Otherwise good advice.
Nope, MK48. Mod. 0 or a M240L are my preferred choice of weapons
@@k.duelist4913 M249 is better for home defense
why does he sound so similar to joe rogan on this its crazy ahaaa
Damn Kyle be looking real sad
bro i think its the angle u cant see his facial expressions but usually he has more charisma
You think when the Feds Raided Kyle's house they went out back and shot his guns?
Depends on where the dogs were on the property 😥
They probably melted them all
@@rustyshackleford81 what they killed his dogs??
Usually they auction them off
jason200912 I heard somewhere they melted them down into scrap metal, it’s a real shame
It's hard to beat a Pump Shotgun for the house, I bought my Son a .410 Shockwave with a fixed Pistol Grip Stock. The recoil is totally manageable even with 0000 Buckshot, good choice for a smaller, low recoil Shotgun that's still very much capable.
A semi auto shotgun is naturally better and more efficient for self defense.
@That Guy Completely wrong. It all depends on ammunition, but 5.56 generally penetrates more. Shotguns really only penetrate with slugs, which is a terrible choice for home defense.
My personal favorite is the Mossberg Maverick 88. It's a Mossberg action, with the 870 safety position. Granted, since its a cheaper Mossberg there are things that you just can't do to it like you could with the regular 500. You are stuck with either a 5 round 18.5 inch barrel, or the 7 round 20 inch barrel. And if you want to replace the pump, you have to buy the whole assembly with the action bars pinned on (for the most part. There are some after market conversions that have the pump and the grip separate, but they feel a bit cheesy). If you just want a shotgun, and you don't plan on adding anything tactigucci on it, the 88 is a solid option. Especially since Remington doesn't exist anymore so Mossberg is really the only brand of shotgun you can reliably find in every gun store.
This podcast is chill af
*”Guns don’t wear out”*
me thinking about how my dad’s shot 3 870s, one Japanese pump, and one browning bps to failure in the last 30 years
If he shot an 870 so much he got it to malfunction, I’d love to know what broke because mine has 20k rounds through it and runs fine.

I found a red-dot sight in 2015 that my grandfather had misplaced sometime in the 70s and it still worked perfectly fine. I intend on fitting it to a rifle 1 day.
Sooooo weird hearing him talk in that funny ascent. Kyle should do some Black Powder and stuff shows. so many guns that arnt "guns". And talk to the slingshot ch.
In my personal opinion he's right the Remington 870 is the best platform go with the tac-14 that thing is a beast.
I mean, tritium sights start to lose brightness in the range if 15 years.
lol woody has to go to a class for a CCW, Arizona you don't need a permit for concealed or open
And we get them same day after a quick background check if you dont have your ccw.
and you can carry at 18
and that's exactly what's wrong with the US
ovulate First of all Arizona is one of the only states that has such loose laws, but why is this a problem?
FL have to do class for ccw, which should be free its just basic handgun safety class. was like 2-3 hours long and i was lit the entire time. instructor knew i already knew everything and was like just stay here to show face until shooting portion
In Kansas we’re able to constitutional carry, no permit needed.
For shotguns, I recommend Benelli Nova, or Super Nova 12g. 400 dollars for standard Nova, and around 600 for Super Nova. Overall if you want something for when shit pops off, definitely go AR or AK if you can find one right now. For price overall the cheapest option would be a good AR. Buck shot runs nearly a dollar a shell, whereas 5.56, and .223 can be had for around 35 cent a round, and effect past 300 meters. I dont recommend an AK unless you have money to burn. They run 800+ right now for a shitty one, and you run the risk of shit like canted sights. AR can be built for around 500 bucks, maybe 600 ish due to panic buying. I highly recommend you get a 12 guage shotgun with a security short barrel, and a field hunting barrel, along with an AR, or AK.
As for Remington, i cannot recommend them. Their QC has gone down the shitter the past few years
A shotgun would be a viable option IF you have fragmenting buckshot.
Those 500 dollar ar's are poo. That's like anderson. A quality bcg costs 120 minimum for a sionics or 150 for a solgw. For 500 more you can build a rifle that will run when you want it to.
Kyle sounds like Joe Rogan
I was thinking the same thing
Joe who?
he's basically the Joe Rogan of guns
It’s not Iridium in the sights,it’s Tritium.Everybody should acquire a good carry pistol,a solid tactical shotgun, and a tough AR platform, all for personal use.Pistol,as well as the shotgun, are both used to fight your way to the AR.Your goal in any gunfight is overwhelming firepower with accuracy, and the AR platform stands at the top of the mountain when it comes down to that....
“ oh f**k yeah they got those at gas stations” 🤣🤣🤣 I love being Texan
KSG is a good home defense one too. Very short barrel lets you not worry about hitting the barrel on everything in a room or hallway.
browning BPS. its the cadillac of pumps. sooo much smoother than any 870. works for me as a left too with bottom eject
I fricken love my Mossberg 500. Got it as a police trade in for $200 and the thing just eats anything you feed it.
For home defense I suggest an AR over a shotgun, though a shotgun is by no means a poor choice. The main reason being is ease of use. With an AR you have 30 rounds in a stupidly reliable rifle (if you spend $700~ on a good quality one) that has hardly any recoil and is extremely ergonomic and easily adapted to shooters of different sizes. Another upside is barrier penetration. Any round that is lethal to a human will punch right through interior walls, including 9mm/.40s&w, .45acp, any buckshot, 5.56, 7.62x39, etc. 5.56/.223 tends to be more easily destabilized by barriers and thus will generally be blasting through less shit than a lot of other rounds. Some 5.56/.223 loads like M855 would be a poor home defense round as it's designed to be better at penetrating barriers. I would suggest one of the Speer Gold Dot or Federal Fusion loads. As for red dots the cheapest good quality option would be the Holosun offerings, the 503 series being what I would suggest. The Aimpoint PRO and ACO and the Trijicon MRO are great budget friendly options that aren't made in China if you're worried about that. As Kyle mentions, a weapon mounted flashlight is an absolute must. Streamlight's TLR-1 long gun kit is pretty much the cheapest good quality set up you're going to find. Stick to Streamlight and Surefire for lights (unless you want to flex on the poors and get an Arisaka, Cloud Defensive, or ModLite but most of those cost $300+).
And the most important thing to mention, you do need to fucking aim if you're shooting someone. Even at very close ranges you should still be indexing off of your sights, getting some kind of information from them to verify that you're on target. Range will dictate how sloppy you can be with that verification but you need to be using those sights short of the bad guy being right up on your muzzle. Sending a round past the bad guy through your house and into your neighbors house is not what you want to be doing.
/end rant
Yeah but the minute something happens your CCW will get pulled and your state can and most likely put you into the NICS system. Without it if something happens depending on the charge you have a chance of not being put into NICS.
You know what yall could do. You could do like some sort of guide for first time gun users and things similar to that subject. Put it up on youtube while talking about it on the podcast. I mean i know there are a lot of vids on it already. But i can listen to you guys for days, especially Kyle with his history of guns.
I have a smith and Wesson M&P 15 sport II , funny that he recommended it🤣🤣
M&P 15 Sport II from Palmetto state armory baby
Tritium-phosphor is what is used in some optics and there life span is between 10 and 20 years. depending on use.. Places like Trijicon will actually replace for free when they start to lose power, thus the high price tag, you get quality.
Going to a gun show is a great way to familiarize yourself with firearms. Every dude behind a table will talk to you all day about them.
Kal Tec KSG, a practical indoor choice if you ask me, DP 12 is fun but overkill.
Man, Andre Ward really letting himself go since retiring from boxing.
Re: wearing a gun out. Its hard. I was given a ruger 22/45 pistol for my 16th birthday. It started to get unreliable when I was in my mid 20's, so I replaced all the springs. Back to new, and back to flawless operation. My best guess is around 30K rounds went through that pistol before I had to replace the springs. I did some no cleaning reliability testing after. I gave up at 5K rounds of dirty bulk .22lr, and cleaned it.
"INCASE SOME SHIT POPS OFF"
"Are you an afficionado or what?" LMAO
An SP5 is my self defense weapon of choice. A small caliber fast and accurate firearm with a large magazine. I had an 870 for self defense but retired it after I watched Shawn Ryan, retired SEAL/CIA contractor, test multiple commonly used 'self defense' firearms on targets and drywall. You'll be lucky if you don't kill your family members, dog, and neighbor in the process of shooting a self defense shotgun shell inside your house in a residential neighborhood. Obviously it's different if someone is shooting at you from 50 yards away. That's when I grab my AR15 with mounted EOTech/magnifier setup.
I've seen people sleep on shotguns
But the awesome thing about shotguns is you load them with slugs and you don't have a shotgun anymore it becomes a rifle. High power slugs will tear a mf apart.
"Crosshairs be up dawg" lol 12:49
You actually do have to have the background check still in FL with a CCL. The only difference is you can walk out that day with it as opposed to the wait period of “5days” (8 in actuality). And that’s it. Background is run on everyone here.
I would've recommend a SBR AR with a suppressor. It's small and compact, better range than a shotgun and will for sure put someone down quickly if needed.
It's a big jump from buying your first long gun to the laws and rules of the NFA world haha
Fuck the NFA, get an AR pistol with a brace.
Well, then you’re jumping onto the ATF’s radar. They’re so completely wishy-washy with reg changes it’s insane. “Keep it simple, stupid.”
Next kyle will tell you how to mail shitty re-claimed hash oil
With the current ammo shortage, don’t worry about buying birdshot for home defense. In a home defense situation, you are most definitely close enough to turn someone into paste with birdshot
Kyle poo pooed the 13” pump with the bird heads grip but the Mossberg shockwave with the SB shoulder brace and mini shell adapter is great.
“Pullrack” is one word.
Nice Paul Harrell reference
I'm looking at getting a Mossberg 590 for apartment defense pretty soon
So if I get a NJ conpliant rifle I can have it sent to my local gun store, call them and tell them I ordered it and its mine and then finish paperwork ?
Correct. Often times the vendor will require additional information to verify the current in date registration of the business' federal firearms license (not always but if its a small shop in a small town they will just never have shipped guns there and won't have information on record). You'll call the gun shop and have them fax or email their information to the vendor. Once it's received the firearm can be shipped.
There's a mossberg 'pistol' grip pump unlike the one they show in clip that has no shoulder stock but it's adjustable from the size of a sawed off to about 24 inches. It's like a swat breaching shotgun for close quarters ie you're house looking for intruders. It's meant to mainly be shot from the hip so it doesn't fly up and hit you and with the pistol grip it's nothing like a shorty with regular handle, it looks almost just like the bitch from training day. Also the shells you're using make a big difference in the kick. In my experience even though the bird shot is supposed to be least damaging to whatever you're shooting in my experience seems to have the worst recoi besides slugs obviously. Buckshot is much more damaging to a living Target, but in my experience have much less recoil then any other type of shell. Of course slugs recoil the hardest. I think since the bird shot has smaller BB's inside the shell they need more gunpowder to shoot further making them Kick harder then a buck shot even though they cause much less damage. That's the only reason I could think of, not sure why it seems that way but if you're trying out a shotgun for the first time I would highly recommend using buckshot or birdshot the first time. Once you've gotten the hang of that you can try slugs but I would not mess with them until that point and that particular Mossberg is just a little under $300 I believe it was 275 or something like that. If you look at the ads in the newspaper for local gun stores you will see really good deals when they have sales on really good guns. There are some shity Brands out there that you should do research on but one of the main ones you should try to steer clear of is High Point. they are very cheap so it's tempting to get one if you're not familiar with good firearm brands but you will be losing money in the long run or possibly a couple of fingers or even a hand if it jams or backfires. Also check out the site armslist. It's like a craigslist only way less sleazy and shady for guns, ammo and all types of stuff. Most of them are private citizens who have something to sell just p2p
You don't buy guns online. You find someone selling a gun online. Now, if you live in a state that allows for straw sales you can meet the person and buy it without a background check.

Arian foster is the type of gun owner I absolutely hate. “In case some shit pop off”, fast forward to whatever hypothetical thing lead to a situation where some shit did pop off, the dude has an AR15 that he’s never used, never trained with, never learned how to clean or clear malfunctions with and as soon as he thinks he’s in the clear cause he “has a gun”, he gets clapped by some 19 year old who’s been playing airsoft since he was 14. He doesn’t want to know the nuances of owning a gun, he just wants it to make himself feel safer “just in case some shit pop off”…
After hearing Arians opinion on just about any topic I think the best fit for him is a Hi Point
Aimpoint T-2 or comp m5. Kyle should know this!
Kyle I got a Fabarm STF12 and its a nice pump too! Pricier than the 870, but its got rails and rights already included so I just put a flashlight and a red dot and its already in my truck.
They still run ur info with a concealed carry permit it’s just when u register for a permit they pin a number to u and instead of putting ur info they put down the number pinned to u by the permit
Arian is such a cool fucking guy and he was a hell of a player.
U can buy a gun online with out the back ground check but u have to build the gun it’s called 80% arms

You also need access to a milling machine to finish it.
Kyle my personal choice for a shotgun is a MOSSBERG 590A1 I love it .
I live in Illinois 3 day cooling off period, you need a Foid card to buy a gun and my concealed carry class was 2 days long... seriously sucked but hey at least it’s not California! We can own anything but suppressors
There's also Maverick 88 which is made by the same people who make the Mossberg there's also ithacas that are quite nice I've had a few inexpensive Beretta pump shotguns so what you mean to say is a decent quality pump shotgun would be a good home defense weapon

Bro in Texas if you want a shotgun you can just go to Wal-Mart 💯
can confirm some walmarts have a gun section here. If there are multiple starbucks within a few miles of the walmart (don't actually check for starbucks that just a joke) they probably won't have a gun section. Walmart does their research on the area so they know which areas would not appreciate it,
Here in Georgia you can also go to a Walmart for a shotgun sad thing is shotguns and 22lr's are just about the only thing they sell, they however used to sell muzzleloaders but they quit as they were not as popular at the time but they never sold any type of pistol you had to go to a gun store for that and Walmart pretty much only had sporting ammo for shooting clay targets and stuff and of course i would buy them even the rat shots as i kinda have a obsession with collecting different types of ammo for guns i own.
a lil more powerful then a glock 40
lol
Benelli Supernova is my go to pump 12GA
Has Fps russia been on the JRE podcast yet?
I’d recommend the spas 12 umm if you want gameplay for it there’s a great lineup in modern warfare
Shooting clays and skeet is the most fun thing to do with guns IMO!
Carlo is seeming to forget the random 3 day way to you might have to wait because regards of what state you are in you could still get a 3 day hold because almost all of my guns have been bought from gun stores and every single one of them has had a 3 day delay on it and I know that's just bad luck but still it is definitely a thing.... I am glad he clarified that was in Texas that let you pass the background check if you have aCCW permit because I literally just heard someone at my local gun store talk about how some guy came in with a carry concealed licence and was denied on his background check so I don't think most days will actually use your consult carry licence to waive the entire background check seeing his ccl cuz its possible to have committed a felony Intuit had your licence revoked
they have the newer shockwaves with the brace , its prrrrrfect!
Arian Foster is definitely a top 1% guest
Man this is awesome
Who remembers that little Raven 25, or your childhoods were different than mine.
Have to completely disagree with Kyle. On a Mossberg, you can use the safety and the action lock without moving your hand from the stock. I can't for the life of me understand how you could prefer the 870's controls other than "growing up with it" like Kyle said.
@boxdoesgames I can't really say as I've never owned or shot one. However, with your main shotgun choices being Mossberg or Remington, you're gonna want to go with Mossberg. Remington has gone to shit, which is why I'm kinda surprised Kyle recommended them. Maybe he doesn't have any experience with the newer models.
50 yards is *not* gonna be lethal range with buckshot...
wrong
kyle not lying about guns at a gas station lmao
