For a couple of days I had the terrible feeling that you had to abandon this project. I`m looking forward to test it, and more excited if I will be able to modify and add stuff!
Great work. I started playing the beta yesterday and felt like I was back in the 90s. Please finish it, I want a whole game in that style. You did a good job of bringing the old Zelda games into the modern era without losing the charm.
Thank you very much, I still have a dozen things to do, and a lot of ideas, but don't worry I'm still working on it, especially on the dungeons by creating rooms a little more worked. I hope you will like the result.
It looks so great... I ran across your project early on and was hoping you would continue it. I can tell you're skilled and truly loved the original like I did! I'd love to get a chance to test play it!~
some of the comments you've gotten seem a bit ambivalent,, like half compliments or whatever haha this looks really awesome, it has the same sense of mystery and excitement as the original, i hope i get to play this someday outstanding work
This doesn’t look like just an NES remake anymore; if anything, it looks like a half mashup, half brand-new game. Not sure how everyone will feel about this (I mean it’s unfortunately not a full NES remake anymore), but I think this has potential to be great in its own way! Glad to see these past 6 months bore some fruit for you!
Thanks Lucky Cap Gaming, it's not the final world, for the moment I'm having a bit of fun, now that I've improved in the creation of the overworld, I'll be able to start the zelda nes world. But you're right, I still want to propose new things.
Well the other point of a remake is adding onto it while remaking it from the ground up. So new things is fine especially considering that a remake of Zelda 1 would definitely be more modern possibly including a spin attack.
Fantastic job!:)I just started game dev and animation a year and a half ago so I know how much work it must have took you to even get this far so from one game dev to another outstanding work sir!:)look forward to playing it!!!and Nintendo hopefully will let you release it with no issues especially as a fan made game.very well done and much props and respect!:)Nem🙌🔥🔥🔥😌✅💯
Thank you Eduardo Llerandez, all my life I thought I was talentless and finally I am doing quite well with UE4. It takes me a lot of time of course. Good luck with the development. 😉
You've a really cute style! The colors are all so vibrant, and I'm reminded of LA19's toyetic feel. And are these all completely original models? Wild. I think you're well on your way to something great. I hope you keep it up! :) One small note though? I think you gotta work on the title - I'm sure it's just a placeholder atm, but it really needs work. Other than that? I think you know what you're doing, and I ain't got much else to say. I'm excited.
Thank you Ryan Chandler for your comment. As for the title, I put that in because it fits well with the first zelda on nes. I'm open to any other proposal. 😁
Just a little bit of what I personally think looking at this. Graphically it's pretty decent. UI is almost exactly like Links Awakening which is fine. I think some animations could be better or don't mix well with others but that may just be me. Gameplay wise the controls look pretty good. Definitely look better than Links Awakenings controls were. I'm very excited of what's to come! As a fangame developer myself I hope you the best of luck with your project!
Every old man cave could have a mini Village with side quests, the old man could be a roumd of magic tennis to test your sword skills and you could try to give more personality to thhe dungeons, with like the tree dungeon have its interiors be like the florest temple
Love what you are doing, this is something like this I've been waiting for a long time. Nice work, please take a moment to check your messages on your FB page ;-)
So is this really a remake of the original game or a total different story? Or maybe you’re just adding some stuff but following the real story? Anyway really interested on testing this
Thank you Ralf Rollan. This is a small world created only for a beta phase, I needed practice before starting the world of zelda 1. The goal is to have a stable engine to start with.😉

Hi ^^. No I stopped it, it was my very first project on UE4 when I was still a beginner, but I would like to do it again one day with my current experience.
@@LloydEmpty Thank you for the reply, and I understand how difficult creating fan made games are! Best of luck to you on your Zelda project, I love that series too!
I know that this is more of a nitpick than anything, but are the characters ever gonna have faces? The nub hands are relatively easy to overlook, but the featureless faces on Link and the NPCs (save for anyone with bushy eyebrows and/or a beard) are just a teeny bit unsettling. I'm probably being nitpicky. After all, I know that when it comes to game development (or *good* game development, anyways), the gameplay comes first, and then story and aesthetics come afterwards.
Hi Neg, Thanks for your feedback. At the moment I haven't found a face that suits me, so it's not a priority, but I'd like to have a Link and some successful NPCs one day.
@@LloydEmpty Yeah, I figured that it was a "whenever you get around to it" kinda thing; comparatively very low priority. Perhaps it will come to you later, as you further polish the aesthetics- but all of this is secondary to the gameplay; how it looks doesn't matter so much as long as it gets the idea across for right now, I'm guessing. I knew it was probably low priority, and I ain't holding anything against you for it! Maybe someday the perfect faces will come to you; for now, it's better to make sure that the world to which they belong operates smoothly!
I love this. I really wanted a remake of the first game. However i suggest you dont really reveal that much or post videos of this at all due to nintendo always shutting remakes down. Once the full thing is finished and on the internet, nintendo cant completely remove its existance. Just a suggestion.
looks great. too bad nintendo's ninjas are likely already on their way to serve you papers. they really need to come into the 21st century and embrace the fandom.
I know you mean well but I just want to say. Your DMCA/Nintendo Ninja jokes not only tend to be wrong (most the time) but it also can have a great impact on fangames. It makes the creator more scared that their project will be taken down and sometimes they might just completely stop because of it even though it probably won't be taken down. If you like a fangame don't just go on a rant about how "it'll be taken down" or how "it's better than what Nintendo can make" give actual criticism of what you see.
Yes it's normal for the beta version I created this little world that gathers all the bills of a top down zelda. Once everything will be ready I will recreate definitively the world of zelda nes
You can tell that you really like nes's zelda, this remake is made with a lot of love and skill.
I love that you guys put so much love and care into this project. I think it will allow more people to enjoy this classic game

Fantastic! Great work!
This is like the Black Mesa of the Zelda series!
The hype is real!
cara esse remake que você criou parece estar muito bom e ele esta muito

Amazing

why no save feature tho :(
interesting i cant wait to see more!!! 😃

Very good idea to develop, thanks for your feedback.
Please do complete this game and release it somewhere where they can't DMCA it.
Love it so far! I don't remember if I asked this but will Link, Zelda, Ganon and other NPCs have faces later down the line?
I don't know what style to give them for the face.
So for the time being it stays like this.😅

This is mindblowingly impressive. I hope you can duck under Nintendont's radar long enough to finish this. Do you have an eta for the release?
Thank you. I don't know how long it will take to complete the whole game, but if you want, you can test the prototype, link in the description.
