Hello @boood, good for Finland! Seriously, it is important to get to know something about other cultures. I would like to learn more about Japanise culture!
Wow vilken vacker polska! Och fantastiskt fint spelat och sjunget. Det finns så många underbara finska låtar och nu har jag hört en till! Jag talar inte mer än två ord finska men den här måste jag lära mig. Tack!
Love this. I sing this song to my 4 year old most nights at bedtime. It's in a songbook with music that I'm fairly sure you are one of the musicians playing
Yes, this song is for sure good also at bedtime. Is the songbook called as Soiva Kansanlaulukirja? If yes, ours Freija band is playing there, including me!
@@lassilogren yes, that's the one! Great book, really special. My boy is half Finnish half Irish. The book has really helped me improve my Finnish, in pronunciation if not in comprehension. Kudos to you and Freija in making such a wonderful book!
@DianKahn thank you! This Finnish polska song could be a good song to start the day. Still, I would like to ask (because of your bird emoiji), did you ment my new Outdoor video (with the bird singing) as a start for the morning? :)
@@lassilogren I love this sweet polska. I play with a community fiddle orchestra in Montpelier, Vermont USA. We transcribed the tune for violin and played it together on Zoom earlier this week. Tagelharpa has a lovely archaic sound.
This is absolutely lovely! Usually when I search for jouhiko the results are dark metal/rock music. Harsh sounds, even for a bagpiper and hurdygurdy owner like myself.

Hello @Lorenzomutal725! From Wiki: The jouhikko (Finnish: [ˈjou̯hikːo]) is a traditional, two- or three-stringed bowed lyre, from Finland and Karelia. Its strings are traditionally of horsehair. The playing of this instrument died out in the early 20th century but has been revived and there are now a number of musicians playing it.
Hi ViktorE-h9k! I tried to have more hobbit feeling into another melody: I wrote this one for the musical The Lord of the Rings: ruclips.net/video/RiuRXLo1MaM/видео.htmlsi=DaiVGYFh-yEJNZMz
From Wiki: The polska is a family of music and dance forms shared by the Nordic countries: called polsk in Denmark, polka or polska in Estonia, polska in Sweden and Finland, and by several different names in Norway.

May I ask what tuning it is in?
Hi,
Thanks @EddyElsey!
The tuning here is C#4, G#3, D#4.
