you could try copying the text from it or put it on a note pad or google docs using drive

YES it is mostly just your hardware and system setting but you always want to make sure the email was sent from an official company.

Hm that could mean that your vr is not connected properly try re plugging it in and if you have an index make sure to push the cord closest to the headset and make sure that it is good and secure.
