    Builds like these are why it’s so important for an air player to rush out scout planes. If that happened, your base would‘ve been pinged “defenseless LOL“ and a minute later there‘d be 30 hovers at your door.
    Not that a hard eco build can’t work, I think you just need to communicate with your own air player or just ask for scout planes, then gauge how much you need to defend

      I feel like this is exactly what needs to be learned by the player base. These eco builds are super fun to watch and pull off, but the greed will be countered by aggression eventually.

      I think generally I've seen him communicate his plans as the game is starting. I agree though that people need to invest a little bit more into scouting the other team. Really helps to avoid getting food poisoning from stinky cheese.

    If you put the lazarus on PATROL and don't tell them to reclaim then they will only suck up trees when you actually need the energy and you won't overflow any.

      Also jamming the metal extractors are next to useless. As you can just A-click the metal to take it out with any ships.

    Great video. It's almost useless because it's so niche though. You need the 7 mex's, you need to not be in the front, you need the geo, you need to not be scouted, you need absolutely no pressure from the enemy team either from the sea, air, or any leaks from the frontline. So much has to go right for this to work (which is pretty similar to any backline success story). I love the build orders.

    It's an amazing guide, as a newbi of 3 Chevrons, I always play front line as I know Ill be super slow at eco. So it's a good guide.
    As you said, to be adapted to the situation, I would go slower, donate T2 cons to all the allies and help the front.
    In this specific case you are lucky no one went for you for all this time, or that the other team's navy didn't hit your allies with naval bombardments. A modification to that position would be do do an unholy amount of ducks and send them over to screw with the other sea player... those things in mass are OP.

    This way you will die at 10-12 min by hover or amphibious bots or if be very lucky, will be killed by group of T3 around 20-25th min. Also ships can kill you much sooner. (the moment enemy see you have no dock, they will rush your base asap by ship or other units)

      Maybe.
      You've got the resources and build power to put up static defences in a matter of seconds.
      One or two hovers aren't going to cut. It would need to be a sizable assault.

      @@shanerooney7288 few static def may work for back line (or may not). but that place need heavy static def + shield + .... specially near 20th min. That attack at the end of video, usually will be happen with a large group of T3 and even before that time, missile ship will destroy all buildings near shore. At least it goes like that for me, except that I don't play like that to die easilly there :).

    You need to have more energy storage to allow the calamity to fire constantly without stopping. Also the advanced targeting building will help the calamity be more powerful and more accurate

      Uh, no... no, not really, no. There's a reason high skill players don't use them, and why they don't understand why low skill players keep building them.
      You'd need *Tons* of extra storage facilities to get more than an extra shot or two out, and once they're spent, that's it. Your storage is sitting there useless if your production can't keep up.
      Storage is only useful if you're either not effeciently spending all your available resources, or if you're planning to take down your current infrastructure and need the space to keep it while you build up a new infrastructure, and those are both very sup-optimal moves.
      As for the Pinpointers, those are great for smaller artillery trying to hit slow moving or stationary targets, beyond their range but negligable for calamities and ragnarocks, which rely on large aoe's for their damage. They would also be *extra* useless here where Drongo was just firing blindly into an area they hadn't even scouted.

    Your plan is that their sea player decides to not scout and then not do...
    T2 ships early, cruise missile your geo. Put pressure on the middle players.
    Or switch to seaplane gunships and raid you really hard.
    Or switch to amphib tanks and go up on the shore.
    Or hovers.
    Team communication is very clear to stop you haha

    Have you tried playing with combat engineers? I like doing this build for a powerful mid game. After making 1 t2 con I make 2 combat engineers, some times more if my Frontline want one. Then make metal storage and eat t2 lab and upgrade all mex ,still spaming windmill or advance solar. Soon as mex are all upgrade or even before that depending on how the front is doing start spaming t2 units from my combat eng. I always make at least 4 fus before an afus. Great 12-13 min strategy some times the game ends with the first 5 gunslinger or just mass hounds or fiends.

    Neat build!
    I feel like if the sea player sees nothing is contested you can quickly end up with amphibious units streaming on your shores.
    Some beach defenses could be a plus.

      @@Dozer456123 I agree, but most maps dont have endless trees and a geo for each player. Imo best to practice with the things you can minimally expect in each match. 5 Mex, 0-15 wind power

      communicate and tell your team what you're doing? ask them to support while you rush. of course you're gonna get flamed if you do this without telling anyone what you're up to.
      drongo gets away with it because he's already legendary and everyone knows he's going for some insane rush build

      This kind of build only works when your team is comfy at the front. It’s why he was saying that he’s constantly checking in between afus. If they are getting pushed or it’s looking rough then he would just go t2 or t3 to support. That’s how you avoid getting called out. Making sure you stay apprised of events at the front and can transition into an asset as soon as possible.

      Nobody is going to complain if you are on 6 AFUS sub 20 minutes. This is highly dependent on your frontline holding up of course. Like Drongo said, if they are struggling, you have to pivot out of booming AFUS into T2 support for the front.

      TA/SupCom/BAR is all about strategy, flexibility, and communication. Having a certain strategy is always important, but it's equally as important to pivot towards whatever your team requires at that moment. You're going to have to be comfortable switching up your playstyle to the situation at hand. Communicating your strategy, and making sure to listen to others' communication if they need something else, and map awareness in general, is the third pillar for playing these games well.

      Bar is a game where you need to be open to changing plans depending on the state of the game.
      If you front is losing and your other players need help. It might be time to stop and turn on units.

    The other teams sea player did a terrible job. Islands and 0 side pressure. Un defended adv geo and coast, yet min 20 after the calamity is done finally a... Grunt push

      Or some hovercraft coming up his north ramp. The point is that if you aren't getting any pressure from your opponents back players, you need to send a small hit squad to see what is going on.

    This hobby get a lot cheaper with 3D printing and buying minis that are not GW, like Mantic, Northstar Minis, or Wargames Atlantic.
    Basement or GarageHammer is the best way to play imo we have a “dumb shit dice” D20 to do crazy things and the lists we use are casual and fun focused
