Thanks for the review! I played with both rackets blade v 8 and 9 18x20. The version 8 worked better for my game. I am trying rackets with a little more power and spin potential at this moment: the pro staff, radical mp, pure strike vs and pure aero 98.
@@AlexTennisChannel I am probably gonna end up with all of these rackets. At this moment I like the pure strike vs most. It feels a little stiff for my arm, the string setup is: rpm blast and natural gut. Do you know the difference from experience between the babolat pure strike vs and the new one: pure strike 97?
I compared these 2 recently. The V9 had a higher SW, and the ball flew on me a bit more. It did feel a little bit more stable that the V8 I had, but not a huge difference. The feeling was also a little bit less muted. I can get the V8 to be somewhat similar to the V9 with some customization, also due to the fact that I added weight on the handle of the V9 to make it more head light. In conclusion I would not buy the V9 if I already own a V8.
I fully agree with you. If you are playing with the v7 and you want to switch to the v9 it’s find but not from the v8 to the v9! Thanks for watching 🎾🎾
@@name741 I actually compared all 4. I have to say that the 18x20 V9 did feel much better than the 18x20 V8. But I do like the 16x19 V8 quite a bit. The V9s are nice if I add quite a bit of weight on the handle, but I wouldn't spend the money to go to the V9s if I have V8s.
Huge dilemma for me. I have a 100 v8, like it a lot bcoz although it did give me arm issues. I need a second one, and have been thinking a lot about getting a v9. On the fence, really!
@@AlexTennisChannel That would be ideal. But honestly, I rely on good folks like you - I blv I won't be able to assess well whether they play similar or not! Intuitively, it feels right to have the exact same version in the bag. So that mid-match, you can make the switch seamlessly. Makes sense?

Nice let me know what would your choice between those racquets!!

Unfortunately no I haven’t tried the new 97 but I own the previous version
Thanks. I’m not shopping for a new stick. Barely know how to use my Yonex ezone 98 (2017)-I’m taking lessons.
Nice it’s a great way to improve your game!
Thanks for the great review. Out of interest what would you give the Blade 100 v9 rating out of 10?
@@jontip I gave 8.7/10 in my review video!

Yours is 98 16x19 right?

@name741 Yes!!
Thanks Coach Alex! you're the best 🙋♂️🙏👊 I would have liked to see the v9 😂
I know… it was not available at that time at Raquetteville unfortunately 😂
@@AlexTennisChannel it's ok 👍😅
What is that bluish string you have in the v8?
It’s called Dyreex Xstar!
Would you recommend for single back hand player ? The new V9 98 16x19 305g
Oh yes that’s for sure!!

Can you demo the v9? If so I would highly recommend you to do it! Thanks for watching 🎾🎾

@avisdhirsamanta3717 yes it makes a lot of sense!
V9 is a lot stiffer, gave me tennis elbow
@@Jkan2001 and not the v8?
