Thanks for video! Got the check engine light and this code after installing a security siren (which the instructions said to disconnect the master fuse). I thought I broke something but was to find this video and realize it was just a side effect of disconnecting the fuse.
Thanks for the video, I had a leak in the fuel line of a 2021 road glide special, and to solve it, I disconnected the pump and the main fuse. When I restarted I got that error. Now I know what the cause was, thanks to your video . All the best.
Thanks. I just pulled mine out of the garage after 3 months on a battery tender-difficult start but it did start. Chk Eng and P1608h code-I figure it’s just a battery that needs some miles to get charged up. If it pops up again; I’ll go see the pros. Thanks again for the info.
Huge help! I was installing a weatherproof Quadlock mag charger to my battery on my 23 Road glide and removed the main fuse and the bolts on the battery terminals and when I put everything back together it threw this code and I was panicking because I thought I seriously screwed something up and thought I was gunna have to take it to my HD dealer and pay a huge service fee. I was confused because after reading what this code was I was like how? This is a Brand new battery on a brand new bike that I bought in December of 23 and have only had it for a few months there is no way the battery is already going out or low on power and I also have a 5 amp hr HD battery tender that I plug into the bike when i pull it into the garage after a ride. When this code was happening the bike would still turn over like it did the day I brought it home “strong and like it’s supposed to turn over” after clearing the code everything was all good and even took it for a short ride to make sure the code would not come back which it didn’t and I hope it dose not come back unless I need to get a new battery in the future of course which I don’t see that happening in the foreseeable future. definetley helped! thank you. Question: my bike has dust on it from sitting in garage and typical dust. do you just spray it with a spray and wipe with a microfiber? im just worried it will scratch... or do you just wash the bike every time?
Well, it’s best to spray it off if it has accumulated a significant amount of dust. You wouldn’t want the fine abrasions to scratch you paint. Some people may wipe their bike after every ride with a spray and wipe solution just help it maintain its luster. Just depends on how often you’re riding and the level of care you have for your bike.

I didn’t pay attention to how many miles honestly. It shouldn’t take long barring there are no other issues. If the problem persists I would troubleshoot more or have it checked by a tech.

Mine won’t clear. It says clear but the h (history) keeps showing up no matter what I do.
Is it a different code or something different? Should work following the process unless there is a more serious fault/issue.
You’ve got to keep pressed for 30 secs then turn everything off and back on 👍
