I’d like to recommend, if others haven’t already, watch 1-3 seasons then take a break and watch other things. I’ve been watching the 10th season with a friend and bouncing between that and Fairy Tail and other anime, and while it’s odd to say the least because of how much I *love* magic girl anime, it helps break up potential stagnation. I hope you enjoy Heartcatch as much as everyone else! Also pro tip my friend since you’re a new comer to the Pretty Cure Crusades, Heartcatch or Suite (the season after it) set up how most season’s team layouts will be. I may have found you though Pretty Cure but I hope I can enjoy your other videos just as much. You put a lot of effort into a series I’d love to be able to do myself if I had the equipment! Please enjoy the rest of the series, at times it may get too kiddie but just remember that it is a children’s show aimed at little girls (with a fan base that is strangely enough the same as MLP:FIM) so don’t be too hard on it. While I agree with some of the critics you give I have to remind myself that while little kids aren’t dumb they may not understand concepts as deep as existentialism or the fact that the girls and the Cures are different people in reality, like Love and Cure Peach potentially having to have an internal talk to figure things out about the situation. I’d like to chalk (probably the wrong word usage I’m not the brightest so I apologize) the inconsistent writing at the beginning of Fresh to having to nail down a brand new cast and not potentially having plenty of time to iron aspects out as the main staff was replaced and new staff was coming in, like the match making quirk in Love or how Miki’s career wasn’t explored as well as it could have. I’m probably rambling way more than I should so I’ll leave you with that and hope that helped in some way perhaps? Maybe provided a different look at things? I’m typically very optimistic and see the good in everything so maybe that’s why I’m possibly not making sense? It’s also 5 in the morning somehow so good luck in enjoying the series!
My Nr 1 Fave Cure outfit is both of Black's (an' I think Yes 5's would be 2nd best if the white were replaced by a bright shade of the girl's main colour & the originally-coloured parts were a dark shade of the colour meaning the quintet would have 1 colour each but in 2 different shades that contrast each other). While I prefer physical battling by far, I agree that a harmonic use of both it & Magic attacks is definitely the best move (plus each Season having their own take on it means everyone can watch whichever Season's fights they like best)!! Yup, Pretty Cure is in my Top 5 animes coz it's a fun slice-of-life show with badass fights to keep things from getting boring. This is a fun video!! *grinning Nagisa-style, gives a thumbs-up*
I wondered if somebody would say about Splash Star Precure are simmilar to orginal Precure when they would have been together. Maybe next time, then next and next... Oh there won't? Either way to spoil anything for future precure series for me.
Honestly I like the first outfits for the Yes team way more than the GoGo outfits and of the Fresh cast I definitely like Peach/Love’s more than Pine/Buki’s (And maybe even Passion/Setsuna’s.). Aside from that, I agree with the rest of this video.
You're going to be very disappointed with S14 Kirakira Precure a la Mode if you like the physical combat..... they don't do any of that, and instead opt to throw frosting at things....
Sure I've only whach Ed the hartcach movie and 3 splash star episodes but so far I think that the slice of life moments in pretty cure are better than the fight scenes. Well unless you are loup garou that is.
I noticed you spoke more positively of Setsuna here than you did in your review of Fresh Precure, I take it you gave it a rewatch and picked up on some stuff you missed before?
Oh, no. I realize I wasn't very clear in the last one. Setsuna has always been my favorite character from Fresh, but I thought her characterization in the first half could have been better executed. (def could have worded that specific detail a lot better.) I haven't had time to rewatch it (busy with Heartcatch and another big project), and I probably won't have time to rewatch it any time soon.
I do want to give it a rewatch eventually, tho. (at least, her scenes.) don't know whether a vid would come from that, and if it did it would be years down the line, but it might happen.
oh geez. i have been caught up with a lot of stuff, but now that you bring it up i do have some spare time right now, so i'm going to go watch at least the first part rtfn and i'll report back once i've watched all three. prob won't get through all three right now, but soon, hopefully.
This is definitely a movie that excels in the fights but the character interactions really suck. Apparently the 2nd crossover movie does the character interaction better.
